At 3,820 great-circle miles it slips UNDER Aeroplan's 4,000-mile line — so Swiss's own nonstop books for a fixed 40,000 in business, surcharge-free, the same trick Frankfurt pulls and 30,000 points under Mumbai's identical seat. AAdvantage's 42,500 Qsuite-via-Doha is a hair more and needs a Bonvoy chain, so here the Star chart, not the oneworld one, is the play. No Air France, no Air India nonstop — Zurich is Aeroplan's town.

The band coup: DEL-ZRH at 3,820 mi sits in Aeroplan's 2,001–4,000-mile within-Atlantic band, so business is 40,000 — fixed, no fuel surcharge, booking Swiss's own nonstop. The identical seat from Mumbai crosses the line and costs 70,000 (see bom-zrh). Best fed by SBI 1:1 or Axis Atlas 1:2.

Indian Subcontinent → Europe: 42,500 AA miles for Qatar's Qsuite via Doha. On this corridor it is 2,500 miles MORE than Aeroplan's Swiss nonstop AND needs a Bonvoy 3:1 chain (127,500 Bonvoy points; no Indian card feeds AAdvantage — see /transfers/to/american-aadvantage). Delhi is the rare Europe city where Aeroplan out-cheaps the Qsuite award.

Qatar prices Avios by segment, not distance-band: DEL–DOH is 55,000 business off-peak (sourced); the DOH–ZRH leg is unpublished to me, but Qatar's DOH–London benchmark is 43,000, so budget ~98,000 Avios all-in, off-peak — verify the DOH–ZRH segment before transferring. More Avios than BA-metal corridors, and Qatar now trials peak/off-peak pricing. AAdvantage books the same Qsuite for 42,500 if you can feed it.

GuestSeat is dynamic and, on documented India→Europe through-tickets, lands north of 100,000 miles plus heavy carrier charges. From India it is chain-only after Amex MR drops Etihad on 01-Jul-2026 (Hilton 10:1, IHG 5:1, Shangri-La 1:1). Priced here as the honest trap, not a plan.

Emirates publishes no chart — the Miles Calculator prices DEL–DXB–ZRH per date, Saver space is thin, and the May-2026 devaluation lifted premium Classic Rewards ~15%. Skywards is chain-only from India (Hilton 10:1, IHG 5:1, Marriott Bonvoy). Calculator plus heavy Emirates surcharges — verify before you burn anything.
