Turkish operates the DEL–IST nonstop but prices its own metal at 50,000 miles standard in business — while Aeroplan books the identical seat for 40,000, fixed and surcharge-free. Turkish's own awards carry the program's legendary booking pain and a fuel component ex-India; Aeroplan carries neither. 50,000 standard / 35,000 promotion in business one-way — the promo rate is one of the cheapest lie-flat awards to Europe's doorstep, when Turkish releases it. The catch is Turkish's award engine (phantom space, phone bookings) and a fuel/tax component ex-India. Aeroplan books the same TK seat for 40,000 with neither headache.

Region 4 (India) → Region 1 (Türkiye) on the Miles&Smiles own-metal chart: 25,000 standard, 20,000 on the promotion award. The December 2025 devaluation touched only same-country partner awards, so these region-to-region rates held. Best fed by Axis Atlas at 1:2; HDFC, HSBC and SBI all haircut to 2:1.

DEL–IST's ~2,830 great-circle miles sit in Aeroplan's 2,001–4,000-mile within-Atlantic band (both India and Turkey are Aeroplan "Atlantic") — 30,000 after June 2026. At ₹1/point that trails cash on a route with ₹25–40k fares; the business row is where this band pays.
