KrisFlyer is untouchable here: Auckland shares Singapore Airlines' Zone 9 with Australia, so it's the same 72,000 business Saver / 35,000 economy as Sydney, on SQ metal both legs via Changi. Everyone else pays the distance to the bottom of the world. Cathay via Hong Kong crosses into Asia Miles' 7,501-mile band at 119,000 business (or a punishing 143,000 if you route the same seat through Qantas). Velocity wants 119,500 and may not let an Indian book it. Air India doesn't serve Auckland at all, so Maharaja is off the board. Singapore is the only sane way to New Zealand on points.
