SWISS own metal from ZRH, dynamic award
SWISS Star Alliance
SWISS own-metal Zurich→Mumbai. Miles & More passes HEAVY carrier-imposed surcharges on LH/LX own metal — after the 2026-08-01 recalibration this is the ONLY bad thing about it. The surcharges are now observed rather than estimated: one-way ex-Frankfurt runs EUR 395-546 to India, the Middle East, Africa and Asia (Delhi EUR 475, Mumbai EUR 474, Dubai EUR 397, Singapore EUR 406) and a flat EUR 836-885 to North America; ex-Zurich runs CHF 330-490 to India, Asia and Africa and CHF 730-764 to North America; First is dearer again at EUR 993 transatlantic; intra-Europe is EUR 59-85. They move fast and in one direction — March 2026 added EUR 100 to Frankfurt-Delhi and EUR 200 to every North American one-way inside three weeks. Ex-India departures sit at the top of the bands. The MILES ask, by contrast, is far lower than this board used to assume: the cheapest one-way Business Light ex-Frankfurt now runs 37,786 miles (Delhi) to 78,914 (Singapore), so an LH/LX own-metal award is no longer the automatic mistake it was called here before — Aeroplan and United MileagePlus still price the same seats and remain the better cash-out. A valid SWISS routing is assumed.
Estimate Dynamic/unpublished-chart program — estimate is the typical one-way economy level Zurich→Mumbai (range 5,000–46,000), economy is a mid-tariff typical, not an observation: no per-route economy survey exists and the Light-vs-Flex spread on one flight runs 5-7x (Amsterdam-Delhi 5,700 Light vs 33,700 Flex), with transatlantic economy seen as low as 88 miles; not a fixed chart price, never THE PLAY.

Qatar Airways via DOH (oneworld) — Avios partner chart, per-segment
Qatar Airways oneworld
BOM-DOH (Z3, 12,500) + DOH-ZRH (2,793 mi, Z4, 14,500) = 27,000 Avios, Qatar via Doha — the economy twin of the 67,500 business row already on this corridor, same routing, same bands.
Estimate Reverse of bom-zrh — Avios (BA / Qatar / Finnair)'s chart prices the zone pair, not the direction. The bom-zrh row is a verified chart read at this price; this direction is mirrored from it, not separately re-read, so it is flagged an estimate and never crowned THE PLAY.
Feed it: 27,000 HDFC Reward Points (1:1) · 54,000 Amex Membership Rewards (2:1) · 27,000 HSBC Reward Points (1:1)
Star Alliance metal (LH partner metal — CA itself flies only Delhi from India), India→Europe — Air China PhoenixMiles
Lufthansa Star Alliance
Air China PhoenixMiles prices its own metal (India→Beijing, resumed Apr-2026) plus Star partners. North Asia is its only genuine strength; elsewhere it is a weak Star pricer with heavy fuel surcharges (why the currency sits at ₹0.90). India-origin levels are not published, so all values are estimated off trans-Pacific anchors. One-way (current PhoenixMiles).
Estimate Reverse of bom-zrh — Air China PhoenixMiles prices the zone pair, not the direction, so the bom-zrh row is mirrored here rather than re-read. That row is itself an estimate: PhoenixMiles' official zone division could not be reconciled with this corridor — Air China publishes no India-origin level, and its published zone tables do not map cleanly onto these city pairs. This value is extrapolated from the nearest published anchors, not a verified chart price.
Feed it: 37,500 HSBC Reward Points (1.25:1 via Accor Live Limitless (ALL)) · 75,000 Amex Membership Rewards (2.5:1 via Marriott Bonvoy) · 150,000 RBL Reward Points (5:1 via Club ITC → Marriott Bonvoy)
Air France / KLM / SkyTeam metal, Flying Blue (dynamic) — or Saudia via JED
Air FranceKLMSaudia SkyTeam
Flying Blue prices dynamically — no fixed chart. Air France/KLM pass carrier (YQ) surcharges on own metal — typically €90–110 economy / €200–300 business one-way long-haul; intra-region SkyTeam ~€15–40. Typical one-way economy runs 20k–35k; award space and travel date drive the real number.
Estimate Dynamic program — estimate is the typical one-way level for this region-pair (range 20k–35k); not a fixed chart price, and never crowned THE PLAY.
Feed it: 27,500 HDFC Reward Points (1:1) · 13,750 Axis EDGE Miles (1:2) · 27,500 HSBC Reward Points (1:1)
Air India via Delhi (Star Alliance), Value tier — no AI nonstop from Mumbai
Air India Star Alliance
The April-2026 chart prices by zone, not metro — Europe economy is a flat 35,000 whether you board in Delhi or connect ZRH–DEL–BOM (AI has no Mumbai–Zurich nonstop; Swiss owns it). A connection plus ₹28,000 of points for a seat cash undercuts: the business rows are where this corridor's points belong.
Estimate Air India publishes no award chart. Its own Points Calculator states that “Fares indicated above are dependent on the time of booking and seat availability”, and Maharaja Club prices every award either as a Value fare (the discounted rate for booking well in advance) or as a higher Prime fare closer to departure. This number is the Value-fare floor as sampled after the April-2026 repricing — not a published chart cell: Value space is not always available on a given flight, and the same seat prices higher once it is gone. Pricing model re-verified against Air India’s Maharaja Club T&C and Points Calculator on 2026-08-09. This direction is additionally mirrored from the reverse corridor — Maharaja prices the zone pair, not the direction of travel — and has not been sampled separately.

Star Alliance partner metal, India→Europe — Copa ConnectMiles (fixed region chart)
Star Alliance
Copa ConnectMiles prices Star partner metal off its FIXED region chart (India sits in Copa’s "Central Asia" zone). Standout value — India→Europe 45k business, India→Sub-Saharan Africa 17.5k economy on Ethiopian (Cairo is a dearer 20k Middle East cell) — but NO Indian card feeds ConnectMiles (buy-miles or a US co-brand only), so treat it as a reference benchmark, not a wallet-reachable route.
Feed it: 75,000 Amex Membership Rewards (2.5:1 via Marriott Bonvoy) · 150,000 RBL Reward Points (5:1 via Club ITC → Marriott Bonvoy) · 50,000 RBL Reward Points (Nova/Lumière) (1.67:1 via Club ITC → Marriott Bonvoy)
Oman Air via MCT (oneworld partner award), India→Europe — Alaska Atmos
Oman AirQatar AirwaysRoyal JordanianBritish Airways oneworld
Alaska Atmos bands the TOTAL DISTANCE FLOWN, not the nonstop great circle: the cheapest Atmos routing is Oman Air via MCT, ~4,163 flown miles against a 4,064-mile nonstop, which reads the Asia-Pacific chart's 3,001-5,000 mi band — 30,000 economy / 60,000 business one-way, plus the $20 partner booking fee per person each way (up from $12.50 on 1-Jul-2026). One-way.
Feed it: 75,000 Amex Membership Rewards (2.5:1 via Marriott Bonvoy) · 150,000 RBL Reward Points (5:1 via Club ITC → Marriott Bonvoy) · 50,000 RBL Reward Points (Nova/Lumière) (1.67:1 via Club ITC → Marriott Bonvoy)
Star Alliance partner metal, India→Europe — Aegean Miles+Bonus
Star Alliance
Aegean Miles+Bonus prices Star partner metal off one region chart published as ROUND TRIPS — its own rule is that a one-way costs exactly half, and the halved figure is what we show. India sits in the "Near East & Central Asia" zone: the Far East is a flat 30k/45k one-way (Tokyo costs the same as Bangkok), Europe 35k/55k, North America 50k/75k. That chart is a single upper-triangular ZONE-PAIR matrix — 45 published cells for 9 zones, exactly one per unordered pair — so ZRH → BOM and BOM → ZRH resolve to the same cell. Re-read against the chart and promoted from mirror-estimate to chart read on 2026-08-06. No Indian card feeds it — Marriott Bonvoy 3:1 is the only road in, and awards only display once you hold the full balance.
Feed it: 90,000 Amex Membership Rewards (2.57:1 via Marriott Bonvoy) · 180,000 RBL Reward Points (5.14:1 via Club ITC → Marriott Bonvoy) · 60,000 RBL Reward Points (Nova/Lumière) (1.71:1 via Club ITC → Marriott Bonvoy)
SkyTeam metal (AF/KLM), India→Europe — China Eastern Eastern Miles
Air FranceKLM SkyTeam
China Eastern prices its own metal (India→Shanghai/Kunming nonstop) plus SkyTeam partners. North Asia is its genuine ex-India strength; other regions estimate off the nearest published China-anchored band (Eastern Miles publishes no India-origin matrix). All one-way.
Estimate Reverse of bom-zrh — China Eastern Miles prices the zone pair, not the direction, so the bom-zrh row is mirrored here rather than re-read. That row is itself an estimate: Eastern Miles publishes no India-origin award matrix — this level estimates off the nearest published China-anchored band, as the row note states, not a verified chart price.

SkyTeam partner metal (AF/KLM), India→Europe — Air Europa SUMA
Air FranceKLM SkyTeam
Air Europa SUMA prices SkyTeam partner metal off a five-band ONE-WAY distance chart: 0–600 mi 6k/12k · 601–1,250 12k/24k · 1,251–1,750 15k/30k · 1,751–3,500 32k/64k · over 3,500 48k/95k (economy/business). This corridor reads the over-3,500 mi band. The 2020 chart that made India→Europe a 51k business steal is gone — the short Gulf hops are where SUMA is now cheap. Partner awards are SUMA call-centre only, paid entirely in Miles, and non-refundable.
Estimate Reverse of bom-zrh — Air Europa SUMA's chart prices the zone pair, not the direction. The bom-zrh row is a verified chart read at this price; this direction is mirrored from it, not separately re-read, so it is flagged an estimate and never crowned THE PLAY.

Star Alliance partner metal, India→Europe — United MileagePlus
Star Alliance
United went fully dynamic in 2020 (no fixed chart), so ~40,000 is a typical Saver partner level to Europe. But Aeroplan often prices the same Star seat lower, so compare before burning United miles.
Estimate Reverse of bom-zrh — United MileagePlus prices the zone pair, not the direction, so the bom-zrh row is mirrored here rather than re-read. That row is itself an estimate: United MileagePlus Saver partner level, India→Europe on Star Alliance metal; United went fully dynamic in 2020, so this is a typical Saver that moves with availability and cabin scarcity.

Star Alliance partner metal, India→Europe — Avianca LifeMiles
Star Alliance
LifeMiles prices Star partner metal off an unpublished grid; India→Europe business ~63k is the headline sweet spot (beats Aeroplan). Business is the value cabin here; economy is mediocre. The chart is semi-fixed/unpublished, so some bands are estimates.
Estimate Reverse of bom-zrh — Avianca LifeMiles prices the zone pair, not the direction, so the bom-zrh row is mirrored here rather than re-read. That row is itself an estimate: LifeMiles publishes no award chart — Avianca withdrew its public zone table in 2023 and prices Star partner awards off an unpublished internal grid. This level is extrapolated from that historical zone pricing plus dated community booking reports, not a verified chart price.
Feed it: 120,000 Amex Membership Rewards (3:1 via Marriott Bonvoy) · 240,000 RBL Reward Points (6:1 via Club ITC → Marriott Bonvoy) · 80,000 HDFC Reward Points (2:1)

Air IndiaLufthansa Star Alliance
EVA Infinity MileageLands prices Star metal off its zone chart (India = "Central/South Asia" zone; one-way = half round-trip). EVA own metal via Taipei covers Japan/N-Asia/SE-Asia/US/Europe; Gulf/Africa/Oceania are partner-metal only. India→US business ~97.5k (possibly ~55-60k on a fully-EVA routing).

SkyTeam metal (AF/KLM/Saudia + SAS), India→Europe — SAS EuroBonus
Air FranceKLMSaudiaSAS SkyTeam
SAS joined SkyTeam on 1-Sept-2024, so EuroBonus now prices SkyTeam metal. Ex-India sweet spot: intra-"CESA" business to North Asia/Japan at ~30k. Watch the ×2 multiplier on Air Europa/China Airlines/Vietnam Airlines (UX/CI/VN) metal. One-way = 60% of round-trip.
Estimate Reverse of bom-zrh — SAS EuroBonus's chart prices the zone pair, not the direction. The bom-zrh row is a verified chart read at this price; this direction is mirrored from it, not separately re-read, so it is flagged an estimate and never crowned THE PLAY.

SkyTeam partner metal (AF/KLM), India→Europe — Delta SkyMiles (dynamic)
Air FranceKLM SkyTeam
Delta has had no award chart since 2015 — fully dynamic, so ~55,000 is a representative saver-ish partner level to Europe; peak dates and 2026 partner hikes can swing business 1.5–3×. Kenya Airways (NBO) and Korean (ICN) are the strongest ex-India SkyTeam value.
Estimate Reverse of bom-zrh — Delta SkyMiles prices the zone pair, not the direction, so the bom-zrh row is mirrored here rather than re-read. That row is itself an estimate: Delta SkyMiles is fully dynamic (no chart since 2015); ~55,000/140,000 is a representative SkyTeam partner saver level India→Europe on AF/KLM/KE/VN/MU metal — peak dates and the 2026 partner hikes swing business 1.5–3×.
Feed it: 165,000 Amex Membership Rewards (3:1 via Marriott Bonvoy) · 330,000 RBL Reward Points (6:1 via Club ITC → Marriott Bonvoy) · 110,000 HSBC Reward Points (2:1 via Accor Live Limitless (ALL))
KLM via AMS (ZRH–AMS–BOM) — Vietnam LotusMiles
KLM SkyTeam
LotusMiles deducts miles PER FLIGHT SEGMENT on its SkyTeam partner table (official chart, effective 1-Aug-2025), and no SkyTeam carrier flies ZRH–BOM nonstop — so the price is a SUM, not one cell. Cheapest verified SkyTeam build is KLM ZRH–AMS–BOM — per-segment: BOM–AMS 35,000 (SW Asia × Europe) + AMS–ZRH 25,000 (Europe × Europe) = 60,000. India is SW Asia on that table; LotusMiles' own SGN/HAN metal runs off a separate chart (25k/60k one-way). One-way.

Star Alliance partner metal, India→Europe — TAP Miles&Go
Star Alliance
TAP's 4 May 2026 devaluation lifted India→Europe (its "Europe and North Africa" zone) from 70k/115k to 80k/125k one-way. TAP's own metal and the Lufthansa group carry the heaviest fuel surcharges of any Star program into Europe; Turkish, EgyptAir and Ethiopian routings dodge most of the YQ. Keep the itinerary inside two TAP zones — anything touching a third is billed segment by segment and summed.
Estimate Reverse of bom-zrh — TAP Air Portugal Miles&Go's chart prices the zone pair, not the direction. The bom-zrh row is a verified chart read at this price; this direction is mirrored from it, not separately re-read, so it is flagged an estimate and never crowned THE PLAY.

Air India via DEL (ZRH–DEL–BOM) — Star Alliance partner award, fixed Miles & More chart
Air India Star Alliance
Miles & More's PARTNER chart is the one thing the 3-Jun-2025 switch to dynamic pricing did not touch, and the official Award Flight chart (correct as of 3 March 2026) gives INDIA its own region, separate from South East Asia and from Central Asia/Far East. Europe↔India in business is 125,000 miles RETURN — the same band as Europe↔North America, not the dearer South East Asia column. The halving is published, not assumed: Miles & More's General terms and conditions for Award Flights, §1.1 One-way Award Flight, reads “One-way Award Flights allow you to book an Award Flight for a single leg for 50% fewer miles than a standard Award Flight”, and carves out only Lufthansa/SWISS/Austrian metal, where the saving tracks the dynamic online offer. That puts this corridor at 62,500 one-way, fixed and published, on PARTNER metal. Air India carries it via Delhi (ZRH–DEL–BOM), all-AI metal at 1.11× the great-circle — inside the on-the-way limit, which keeps the whole intercontinental leg out of the dynamic engine. It beats the SWISS own-metal ask, which this desk levels at 94,000 floating 85,000–1,78,000 (89,806 miles cheapest one-way Business Light in the Jul-2026 ex-Zurich survey) — and it is FIXED, where the dynamic ask is not. The chart is miles-only: the PDF still makes you pay “taxes, fees, airline surcharges payable to the respective airlines”, so the cash bill follows the OPERATING carrier — which is exactly why partner metal escapes the EUR 395–885 one-way that Lufthansa and SWISS own metal carries. On this pair that means Air India's charge rather than SWISS's CHF 330–490 ex-Zurich. The SWISS nonstop still exists as the dynamic alternate; award space on Air India, not the price, is the constraint here.

Qatar's Avios pricing is by segment: BOM–DOH (Z3) 24,500 J + DOH–ZRH (2,793 mi, Z4) 43,000 J = 67,500 Avios in Qsuite, one stop — ZRH slips under the 3,000-mile Z4 boundary; Doha–London/Amsterdam/Paris sit in the disputed Z5 band above it (estimated). Six issuers feed Avios directly, but AAdvantage books the identical Qsuite for 42,500 if you can fund it. No peak/off-peak on partners.

Business ~75,000 pts est. Etihad via AUH (one stop) — Saver Award dynamic, the trap
Etihad Airways
Saver Award dynamic; documented India→Europe through-fares run 100,000+ miles plus heavy charges, one stop. Chain-only from India once Amex MR drops Etihad on 01-Jul-2026 (Hilton 10:1, IHG 5:1, Shangri-La 1:1). Listed as the trap, not the play.
Estimate Reverse of bom-zrh — Etihad Guest prices the zone pair, not the direction, so the bom-zrh row is mirrored here rather than re-read. That row is itself an estimate: Etihad Guest Saver Award starting level for the ~4,194-mile flown itinerary (via AUH), read off Etihad's last published one-way distance-band structure (5,000-mile band). Etihad publishes no award chart today - GuestSeat became Saver Award on 13-Nov-2025 and pricing lives in the Miles Calculator - so fixed-rate space is limited and real quotes often run well above this floor.

Business ~95,000 pts est.
Feed it: 95,000 HSBC Reward Points (1:1 via Accor Live Limitless (ALL)) · 190,000 HDFC Reward Points (2:1 via Accor Live Limitless (ALL)) · 475,000 Axis EDGE Reward Points (5:1 via Accor Live Limitless (ALL))
Business ~80,000 pts est. Star Alliance partner metal, India→Europe — United MileagePlus
Star Alliance
United went fully dynamic in 2020 (no fixed chart), so ~80,000 is a typical Saver partner level to Europe.
Feed it: 40,000 Axis EDGE Miles (1:2) · 200,000 Axis EDGE Reward Points (5:2) · 180,000 Amex Membership Rewards (2.25:1 via Marriott Bonvoy)
Business ~100,000 pts est. Air India via Delhi (Star Alliance), Value tier — no AI nonstop from Mumbai
Air India Star Alliance
100,000 points, Europe zone rate, with a Delhi connection Mumbai can't avoid on AI metal. Aeroplan's 70,000 books Swiss's own NONSTOP for 30,000 fewer points — the arithmetic argues itself. Printed so the comparison is on the board.

Business ~85,000 pts est. Air France / KLM / SkyTeam metal, Flying Blue (dynamic) — or Saudia via JED
Air FranceKLMSaudia SkyTeam
Flying Blue prices dynamically — no fixed chart. Air France/KLM pass carrier (YQ) surcharges on own metal — typically €90–110 economy / €200–300 business one-way long-haul; intra-region SkyTeam ~€15–40. Typical one-way business runs 63.75k–90k; award space and travel date drive the real number.
Estimate Dynamic program — estimate is the typical one-way level for this region-pair (range 63.75k–90k); not a fixed chart price, and never crowned THE PLAY.
Feed it: 85,000 HDFC Reward Points (1:1) · 42,500 Axis EDGE Miles (1:2) · 85,000 HSBC Reward Points (1:1)
Business ~95,000 pts est. Emirates via DXB (one stop) — Classic Rewards, calculator-priced
Emirates
No chart — the Miles Calculator prices ZRH–DXB–BOM per date, Saver space is thin, and the May-2026 devaluation lifted premium Classic Rewards ~15%. Chain-only from India (Hilton 10:1, IHG 5:1, Bonvoy). Calculator plus Emirates' heavy surcharges — verify before transferring.
Estimate Reverse of bom-zrh — Emirates Skywards prices the zone pair, not the direction, so the bom-zrh row is mirrored here rather than re-read. That row is itself an estimate: Emirates Skywards one-way Saver estimate, re-marked 01-Aug-2026 to the official miles-calculator pull of 25-Jul-2026 (post the 20-May-2026 devaluation, premium cabins +~15%; connecting corridors summed per leg); dynamic - no published chart, Saver space thin, Flex/Flex Plus price well above.

Business ~108,000 pts est.
Feed it: 756,000 HDFC Reward Points (7:1 via Radisson Rewards) · 756,000 SBI Travel Credits (7:1 via Radisson Rewards) · 1,890,000 Axis EDGE Reward Points (17.5:1 via Radisson Rewards)
Business ~125,000 pts est.

KLM via AMS (ZRH–AMS–BOM) — Vietnam LotusMiles
KLM SkyTeam
LotusMiles deducts miles PER FLIGHT SEGMENT on its SkyTeam partner table (official chart, effective 1-Aug-2025), and no SkyTeam carrier flies ZRH–BOM nonstop — so the price is a SUM, not one cell. Cheapest verified SkyTeam build is KLM ZRH–AMS–BOM — per-segment: BOM–AMS 70,000 (SW Asia × Europe) + AMS–ZRH 50,000 (Europe × Europe) = 120,000. India is SW Asia on that table; LotusMiles' own SGN/HAN metal runs off a separate chart (25k/60k one-way). One-way.

Business ~140,000 pts est. SkyTeam partner metal (AF/KLM), India→Europe — Delta SkyMiles (dynamic)
Air FranceKLM SkyTeam
Delta has had no award chart since 2015 — fully dynamic, so ~140,000 is a representative saver-ish partner level to Europe; peak dates and 2026 partner hikes can swing business 1.5–3×.
