The cheapest verified business seat on the board is 40,000 via American Airlines AAdvantage, and economy starts at 25,000. All-in ₹ = points × the program's house value (valuation index) + the sourced one-way surcharge; a dash means the carrier doesn't publish it and the ranking counts it ₹0 — the row's note carries the caveat. That surcharge is the airline's own cash charge on an award — YQ, as the notes below call it — and it is not the fuel-surcharge waiver your credit card advertises: that one hands back a hundred rupees or two at a petrol pump, this one runs to tens of thousands and decides whether the award is worth taking at all. “Dynamic” and estimated (~… est.) rows never compete for the play — the crown is always a verified, bookable price. Feed-ins come from the same transfer data as the optimizer, multi-hop chains included.

Chart-priced, not live seats. These prices are read off each programme’s published award chart and valued at our own house ₹/point. 37% of the 39,855 priced options on the board are stated estimates for programmes that publish no chart; they are marked ~ est. and never crowned the play. Nobody here can see whether a seat exists on your date — confirm the space with the programme before you transfer. Points that leave your issuer do not come back.

The cash on top of the miles. Air France-KLM Flying Blue states that a carrier-imposed surcharge is charged on an award. American Airlines AAdvantage, United MileagePlus, China Eastern Miles, Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards and Vietnam Airlines Lotusmiles make you liable for one if the operating airline levies it, without saying whether it does. Air Canada Aeroplan states it adds none on its own metal. Government taxes and airport charges are payable in every case. Almost no programme publishes the amount, so the desk carries each one’s policy in its own words — on its programme hub — rather than a number nobody published. 9 other programmes priced here publish nothing the desk could read.

SAS EuroBonus

~30,000 pts est.

Vietnam Airlines via SGN (PVG–SGN–BOM) — EuroBonus’s only redeemable metal on this pair, ×2 VN partner multiplier

Vietnam Airlines SkyTeam

Re-metalled 2026-08-01 by the multi-metal phantom sweep. The five carriers this row used to name — Air France, KLM, Korean Air, Saudia and SAS — cannot build Mumbai–Shanghai between them: Korean Air’s only Indian station is Delhi, SAS has never served India at all, Saudia’s network turns west at Jeddah, and an Air France or KLM build would backtrack through Paris or Amsterdam. Vietnam Airlines via Ho Chi Minh City is the one EuroBonus-REDEEMABLE carrier that covers both ends (China Eastern and Singapore Airlines are earn-only on EuroBonus, and the Etihad carve-out is Europe↔Abu Dhabi), and VN metal carries EuroBonus’s ×2 partner multiplier — so the intra-“Central, East & South Asia” cell (25,000 economy / 50,000 business round-trip, one-way 60% = 15,000 / 30,000) doubles to 30,000 economy / 60,000 business one-way.

Aegean Miles+Bonus

30,000 pts

Star Alliance partner metal, North Asia→India — Aegean Miles+Bonus

Star Alliance

Aegean Miles+Bonus prices Star partner metal off one region chart published as ROUND TRIPS — its own rule is that a one-way costs exactly half, and the halved figure is what we show. India sits in the "Near East & Central Asia" zone: the Far East is a flat 30k/45k one-way (Tokyo costs the same as Bangkok), Europe 35k/55k, North America 50k/75k. That chart is a single upper-triangular ZONE-PAIR matrix — 45 published cells for 9 zones, exactly one per unordered pair — so PVG → BOM and BOM → PVG resolve to the same cell. Re-read against the chart and promoted from mirror-estimate to chart read on 2026-08-06. No Indian card feeds it — Marriott Bonvoy 3:1 is the only road in, and awards only display once you hold the full balance.

Delta SkyMiles

SkyTeam partner metal (VN), North Asia→India — Delta SkyMiles (dynamic)

Vietnam Airlines SkyTeam

Delta has had no award chart since 2015 — fully dynamic, so ~32,000 is a representative saver-ish partner level to North Asia; peak dates and 2026 partner hikes can swing business 1.5–3×. Kenya Airways (NBO) and Korean (ICN) are the strongest ex-India SkyTeam value.

Air France-KLM Flying Blue

~37,500 pts est.

Vietnam Airlines via SGN (PVG–SGN–BOM), or Malaysia Airlines via KUL (PVG–KUL–BOM) — Flying Blue partner award (dynamic)

Vietnam AirlinesMalaysia Airlines

Flying Blue has no award chart, but its partner awards are additive per segment, so this routing bands to 37,500 economy (PVG–SGN 2,747 km → 15,000 + SGN–BOM 3,737 km → 22,500 = 37,500 economy). Partner awards pass the operating carrier's surcharges — the published Oman Air datapoints run US$190–390 one-way — and Flying Blue publishes no per-route table, so this row's cash side stays unpublished. Cabin scope: Etihad sells Flying Blue awards in economy and business only — first, including the Apartment, is not bookable with Miles. First IS bookable on a short list of other partners (Oman Air on Muscat–Bangkok alone, China Eastern, Garuda), none of which is a first routing this board prices, so there is no Flying Blue first row here. Mirrored from bom-pvg on 2026-08-09: Flying Blue prices partner awards per segment, and a segment is the same length in either heading, so both directions of this corridor now carry one build and one number — see the assumption for what this cell used to say.

Estimate Flying Blue publishes no chart, but prices PARTNER awards PER SEGMENT — One Mile at a Time, 6-Jun-2024 on the Oman Air launch: "you're paying the per segment pricing anyway", and the additive structure reproduces all four published connection datapoints inside 5%. This row rides Vietnam Airlines (a Flying Blue SkyTeam and non-alliance partner redemption — Flying Blue runs ONE partner engine over SkyTeam and non-alliance metal alike, which the 13-Jan-2025 repricing proved by moving Etihad and Delta together), so it is banded segment by segment: PVG–SGN 2,747 km → 15,000 + SGN–BOM 3,737 km → 22,500 = 37,500 economy. Bands anchored on the published Flying Blue partner datapoints (one-way business: Muscat–Dubai 6,100, Abu Dhabi–Kuwait 9,500, Muscat–Bangkok 42,900, Abu Dhabi–Bangkok 45,000, Muscat–Munich 45,800, Abu Dhabi–Johannesburg 48,000, Abu Dhabi–Washington 87,000), with economy at half of business — the one published long-haul economy anchor is Toronto–Abu Dhabi 43,500 against an ~87,000 business segment of the same length. The <=1,200 km rung is the one exception — re-fitted cabin by cabin on its own published quotes on 2026-08-02, hence 5,000 / 11,500 rather than half-and-half. Dates and demand move the real number. MIRRORED 2026-08-09 — until today this cell read 25,000 economy / 55,000 business, a region-band estimate that predates the per-segment repricing the bom-pvg direction already carries on the same Vietnam Airlines routing. Flying Blue prices partner awards PER SEGMENT and a segment is the same length in either heading, so the bom-pvg per-segment build IS the price both ways.

TAP's 4 May 2026 chart repriced India — which sits in its "Asia" origin zone — and intra-Asia went from 40k/60k to 50k/70k one-way, still flat regardless of distance (fine to Tokyo, poor to Colombo). Vietnam Airlines SkyTeam

China Eastern prices its own metal (India→Shanghai/Kunming nonstop) plus SkyTeam partners. North Asia is its genuine ex-India strength; other regions estimate off the nearest published China-anchored band (Eastern Miles publishes no India-origin matrix). All one-way.

Estimate Reverse of bom-pvg — China Eastern Miles's chart prices the zone pair, not the direction. Mirrored from the priced direction, not separately verified on this heading. The bom-pvg row it mirrors is itself an assumption-stated estimate (China Eastern Miles publishes no fixed price for this pair).

United MileagePlus

Star Alliance partner metal, North Asia→India — United MileagePlus

Star Alliance

United went fully dynamic in 2020 (no fixed chart), so ~45,000 is a typical Saver partner level to North Asia. But Aeroplan often prices the same Star seat lower, so compare before burning United miles.

Aegean Miles+Bonus

45,000 pts

Feed it: 120,000 Amex Membership Rewards (2.67:1 via Marriott Bonvoy) · 240,000 RBL Reward Points (5.33:1 via Club ITC → Marriott Bonvoy) · 80,000 RBL Reward Points (Nova/Lumière) (1.78:1 via Club ITC → Marriott Bonvoy)

Avianca LifeMiles

Star Alliance partner metal, North Asia→India — Avianca LifeMiles

Star Alliance

LifeMiles prices Star partner metal off an unpublished grid; India→Europe business ~63k is the headline sweet spot (beats Aeroplan). Business is the value cabin here; economy is mediocre. The chart is semi-fixed/unpublished, so some bands are estimates.

Estimate Reverse of bom-pvg — Avianca LifeMiles's chart prices the zone pair, not the direction. Mirrored from the priced direction, not separately verified on this heading. Air Europa SUMA

~64,000 pts est.

SkyTeam partner metal (VN), North Asia→India — Air Europa SUMA

Vietnam Airlines SkyTeam

Air Europa SUMA prices SkyTeam partner metal off a five-band ONE-WAY distance chart: 0–600 mi 6k/12k · 601–1,250 12k/24k · 1,251–1,750 15k/30k · 1,751–3,500 32k/64k · over 3,500 48k/95k (economy/business). This corridor reads the 1,751–3,500 mi band. The 2020 chart that made India→Europe a 51k business steal is gone — the short Gulf hops are where SUMA is now cheap. Partner awards are SUMA call-centre only, paid entirely in Miles, and non-refundable.

Estimate Reverse of bom-pvg — Air Europa SUMA's chart prices the zone pair, not the direction. Mirrored from the priced direction, not separately verified on this heading.

SAS EuroBonus

~60,000 pts est.

Estimate Reverse of bom-pvg — SAS EuroBonus's chart prices the zone pair, not the direction. Mirrored from the priced direction, not separately verified on this heading.

TAP Air Portugal Miles&Go

~70,000 pts est.

Star Alliance partner metal, North Asia→India — TAP Miles&Go

Star Alliance

TAP's 4 May 2026 chart repriced India — which sits in its "Asia" origin zone — and intra-Asia went from 40k/60k to 50k/70k one-way, still flat regardless of distance (fine to Tokyo, poor to Colombo). The Gulf was carved out into a Middle East zone of its own at 60k/80k, so Bangkok now undercuts Dubai. Heavy fuel surcharges on Lufthansa-group and TAP metal; steer via Turkish, EgyptAir or Ethiopian to dodge the YQ.

Copa Airlines ConnectMiles

Star Alliance partner metal, North Asia→India — Copa ConnectMiles (fixed region chart)

Star Alliance

Copa ConnectMiles prices Star partner metal off its FIXED region chart (India sits in Copa’s "Central Asia" zone). Standout value — India→Europe 45k business, India→Sub-Saharan Africa 17.5k economy on Ethiopian (Cairo is a dearer 20k Middle East cell) — but NO Indian card feeds ConnectMiles (buy-miles or a US co-brand only), so treat it as a reference benchmark, not a wallet-reachable route.

Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards

60,000 pts

Cathay Pacific via HKG (oneworld partner award), North Asia→India — Alaska Atmos

Cathay PacificMalaysia Airlines oneworld

Alaska Atmos bands the TOTAL DISTANCE FLOWN, not the nonstop great circle: the cheapest Atmos routing is Cathay Pacific via HKG, ~3,435 flown miles against a 3,147-mile nonstop, which reads the Asia-Pacific chart's 3,001-5,000 mi band — 30,000 economy / 60,000 business one-way, plus the $20 partner booking fee per person each way (up from $12.50 on 1-Jul-2026). Air France-KLM Flying Blue

~75,000 pts est.

Vietnam Airlines via SGN (PVG–SGN–BOM), or Malaysia Airlines via KUL (PVG–KUL–BOM) — Flying Blue partner award (dynamic)

Vietnam AirlinesMalaysia Airlines

Flying Blue has no award chart, but its partner awards are additive per segment, so this routing bands to 75,000 business (PVG–SGN 2,747 km → 30,000 + SGN–BOM 3,737 km → 45,000 = 75,000 business).

This row rides Vietnam Airlines (a Flying Blue SkyTeam and non-alliance partner redemption — Flying Blue runs ONE partner engine over SkyTeam and non-alliance metal alike, which the 13-Jan-2025 repricing proved by moving Etihad and Delta together), so it is banded segment by segment: PVG–SGN 2,747 km → 30,000 + SGN–BOM 3,737 km → 45,000 = 75,000 business.

Delta SkyMiles

~85,000 pts est.

Estimate Reverse of bom-pvg — Delta SkyMiles's chart prices the zone pair, not the direction. Mirrored from the priced direction, not separately verified on this heading. The bom-pvg row it mirrors is itself an assumption-stated estimate (Delta SkyMiles publishes no fixed price for this pair).

Vietnam Airlines SkyTeam

LotusMiles deducts miles PER FLIGHT SEGMENT on its SkyTeam partner table (official chart, effective 1-Aug-2025), and no SkyTeam carrier flies BOM–PVG nonstop — so the price is a SUM, not one cell. Cheapest verified SkyTeam build is Vietnam Airlines BOM–SGN–PVG — per-segment: BOM–SGN 80,000 (SW Asia × SE Asia) + SGN–PVG 60,000 (SE Asia × NE Asia 1) = 140,000. India is SW Asia on that table; LotusMiles' own SGN/HAN metal runs off a separate chart (25k/60k one-way). One-way.
