₹16,100
at ₹0.4L/month
₹40,300

Read the ₹0.4L figure carefully: ₹20,000 of its ₹36,100 gross is a voucher or a hotel night, not points — worth that only if you would have bought it anyway.

Welcome: 2,500 EDGE Miles + ₹10,000 Taj/ITC hotel voucher — credited on activation and on EVERY renewal

Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied: it earns nothing on utilities and fuel here, so that spend is dropped, not paid at the headline, and stops pacing milestones and the waiver. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Pays from the first rupee

At ₹1,000 a month — ₹12,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹20,400 gross (earn ₹400 + milestones ₹20,000) against its ₹20,000 fee = ₹400 net — at or above ₹0 from the first rung we price. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.

Fee, justified: before you earn a single point, this card bundles ~₹7,500/yr of memberships + elite status you'd actually use — weigh that against the ₹20,000 annual fee. Rewards and milestones stack on top (run your spend → · every card's perks, ranked →).

The take

Olympus is what Citi Prestige holders were migrated onto, and Axis used the handover to build the best EDGE Miles engine in the country. The trick is the ratio: where Atlas turns 1 EDGE Mile into 2 partner miles, Olympus turns it into 4. So even though the headline earn looks thin — 1 EDGE Mile per ₹100 at home, 2 abroad — it lands at a real 4% domestic and 8% on forex spend once you transfer. Stack the ₹10,000 Taj/ITC voucher and 2,500 EDGE Miles that arrive on activation AND every renewal, and the ₹20,000 fee is roughly paid before you swipe. Two hotel perks nobody quotes sit on top of that: a complimentary Taj Epicure membership that renews with the card — we price the realistic use of one at ₹7,500 a year — and a third night free on Hotels.com, twice a calendar year. The catch is the door: this is invite-only, aimed at Citi migrants and Axis's ultra-HNI clients, and the same April-2026 partner purge that gutted Atlas's hotel list applies here too.

The downgrade

Axis Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.

What has changed under this card

  • 23 Sep 2026 Axis EDGE brings Accor back, drops ITC, and adds Cathay, Miles & More and Hilton issuer-wide
  • 15 Sep 2026 Wyndham splits its three flat free-night tiers into four a program these points reach
  • 8 Sep 2026 Flying Blue splits award tickets into Light / Standard / Flex — a 25% rise for the same product a program these points reach

We price what is in force today — a change that has not happened yet is not in these numbers. the full archive for this card →

If you call to cancel

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • 1 EDGE Mile = 4 partner miles — double Atlas's ratio; 4% domestic, 8% on international spend
  • 2,500 EDGE Miles + ₹10,000 Taj/ITC voucher as BOTH welcome and every renewal — the fee pays itself
  • Unlimited domestic + international lounge access (Priority Pass), 10 guest visits a year on each, and the ₹50k prior-3-month spend gate expressly waived
  • 1.8% forex markup, 1.8% dynamic-currency markup (NIL until 28 Aug 2026) and NIL rent fee — still the cheapest border to cross on any Axis card bar Primus and Burgundy Private
  • 1:4 on the standard EDGE Miles partners — KrisFlyer, Aeroplan, Flying Blue, United, Turkish and that set. Cathay, Accor and the Avios programmes price Olympus at 1:2
  • Complimentary Taj Epicure membership, renewed every card anniversary — 25% off Taj dining and Qmin, 20% off Jiva spa, three 20%-off stay vouchers
  • Book 3 consecutive nights on Hotels.com and the 3rd is free — twice a calendar year, rebated as a statement credit

Watch out

  • Invite-only — built for Citi Prestige migrants and Axis clients spending ~₹30L/yr or earning ₹1.5Cr+
  • Zero EDGE Miles on transport & tolls, utilities, insurance, education, government, wallet, gift cards, rent and fuel — gift cards were carved into their own zero-earn category in the 28-Aug-2026 revision
  • The 1:4 ratio is the whole engine, and it does not cover the punished set: Qatar, Cathay, the returned Accor, BA, Finnair, Vietnam and IndiGo all price Olympus at 1:2. Marriott is still gone; ITC left the 25 Sep 2026 grid
  • ₹20,000 fee with no spend waiver
  • Both hotel perks run through people, not an app — the Hotels.com third night is booked via the Axis concierge and refunded as a statement credit up to 90 days after checkout, and Epicure ships only after you email a signed consent form to premium.experience@axis.bank.in
  • Taj Epicure is PRIMARY-cardholder only, and its stay benefits are three 20%-off vouchers, not free nights
  • Group-A 1.5L / Group-B 6L annual conversion caps, 7.5L EDGE Miles per customer-ID ceiling
  • Not eligible for the BLR Domestic Lounge at Bengaluru T1 — Olympus, Primus and Horizon are routed to the 080 Domestic Lounge instead
  • Since 28 Aug 2026 Priority Pass no longer works at Indian DOMESTIC lounges — the access survives, but you present the Olympus card itself; from 15 Nov 2026 linked memberships renew only with your explicit consent
  • SETTLED 2 Sep 2026, and the vanished notice was right: the dynamic-currency-conversion markup DID go from NIL to 1.8% on 28 Aug 2026. Axis's Key Fact Sheet, re-issued 18 Aug 2026, now prints '1.8% of Transaction Amount for OLYMPUS Credit Card' in the DCC row where its own 12-Aug edition printed Nil. Paying in rupees abroad now costs exactly what paying in local currency costs — the arbitrage is gone, not inverted

Does your spend count toward the milestones?

not published — and we say which

A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.

Not published. Axis Bank states what the Axis Olympus earns and does not earn, but has not published which spend categories count toward the milestones . We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

Star Alliance via BKK; regional premium cabins. Group A.
Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles
1:4 this card (std 1:2) up to 10 working days
Cheap Star Alliance sweet spots to Europe/US; painful to book. Group A.
United MileagePlus
1:4 this card (std 1:2) up to 1 working day
Wide Star Alliance access, no fuel surcharges, dynamic pricing. Group A.
Air France-KLM Flying Blue
1:4 this card (std 1:2) up to 1 working day
Monthly Promo Rewards and business deals from India. Group A — moved out of Group B on the 25 Sep 2026 grid, so it now eats Atlas's 30,000-mile bucket.
Air India Maharaja Club
1:4 this card (std 1:2) up to 5 working days
Domestic + Star Alliance premium cabins post-Vistara. Group A — moved out of Group B on the 25 Sep 2026 grid.
Qantas Frequent Flyer
1:4 this card (std 1:2) up to 1 working day
oneworld via Qantas; useful for Australia and select partner awards. Group A — moved out of Group B on the 25 Sep 2026 grid.
AirAsia Rewards
1:4 this card (std 1:2) up to 10 working days
Cheap SE Asia short-haul economy. Group B.
SpiceJet SpiceClub
1:4 this card (std 1:2) up to 10 working days
Domestic SpiceJet fares; low value. Group B.
The British Airways Club (Avios)
1:2 this card (std 2:1) up to 1 working day
Punishing 2:1 since it was added 1 Apr 2026 — 4× the miles of a standard partner. Only for a specific Avios booking. Group A.
Finnair Plus (Avios)
1:2 this card (std 2:1) up to 1 working day
Added 1 Apr 2026 at the same brutal 2:1; skip unless you're topping up an Avios balance. Group A.
Vietnam Airlines Lotusmiles
1:2 this card (std 2:1) up to 1 working day
Added 1 Apr 2026 at 2:1; niche SkyTeam, poor value from Atlas — and it eats the tight Group A cap (30,000 EDGE Miles/yr on Atlas), not the roomy Group B one.
IndiGo BluChip
1:2 this card (std 2:1) 1–2 working days
Group B since 18 Jun 2026. Olympus's 1:2 is the best door here and Atlas's 2:1 is four times worse than that — at our BluChip value neither tier gets an EDGE Mile's worth back. Lifetime-valid BluChips on India's biggest airline is the reason to do it; the maths isn't.
ITC Hotels

Off the Travel EDGE grid on the 25 Sep 2026 read. Was 1:2 out of Atlas (Group B) until then.

The Postcard Hotel
1:4 this card (std 1:2) up to 2 working days
Boutique Indian luxury stays via the Sunshine Club. Group B.
IHG One Rewards

IHG nights; low per-point worth. Group B.
Radisson Rewards
1:4 this card (std 1:1) up to 1 working day
1:1 out of Atlas, the same shape as Orchid and Miles & More. Thin value per point. Group B.
Orchid Rewards
1:4 this card (std 1:1) up to 1 working day
Royal Orchid mid-scale stays; domestic, niche — and only 1:1 out of Atlas, not the 1:2 most partners get. Group B.
Wyndham Rewards
1:4 this card (std 1:2) up to 1 working day
Flat redemptions, low points worth — Group A, so it competes with KrisFlyer for Atlas's tight 30,000-mile allowance. Accor is the other hotel in that bucket, as of the 25 Sep 2026 grid.
Cathay Asia Miles
1:2 this card (std 2:1) up to 1 working day
New on the 25 Sep 2026 grid, at the punished 2:1 — oneworld via HKG, and it eats Atlas's Group A cap. Horizon inherits 2:1; Olympus is 1:2.
Hilton Honors
1:4 this card (std 1:2) up to 1 working day
New on the 25 Sep 2026 grid at the standard 1:2. Group B. Thin per-point worth — the ratio is the ordinary EDGE Miles one, not a premium.
Lufthansa Miles & More
1:4 this card (std 1:1) up to 5 working days
New on the 25 Sep 2026 grid. Atlas converts 1:1 here — not the 1:2 it gets on every other standard airline — and Horizon matches that 1:1. Group B. Star Alliance via the Lufthansa Group.
Marriott Bonvoy

ALL - Accor Live Limitless
1:2 this card (std 2:1) up to 1 working day

Qatar Airways Privilege Club (Avios)
1:2 this card (std 2:1) up to 1 working day
Back from the dead — pulled 2 Apr, quietly reinstated Jul 2026, but at the same punishing 2:1 as BA/Finnair (the old 1:2 is gone). Qsuite via Avios is reachable from EDGE Miles again. Group A.

Invite-only — there is no public application form. The bank calls you.

You don't apply — Axis picks you. The card exists first to migrate Citi Prestige holders onto an Axis product with matched fee and better rewards, and beyond that it's offered to the bank's ultra-HNI base: community reports (unofficial) cluster around ~₹30 lakh average annual spend on an existing Axis card or ₹1.5 crore-plus income before an invite appears. There is no public form and no branch walk-in route; if you're not a Citi migrant, a deep Burgundy Private relationship is the realistic path in.

The Reserve's memberships stop renewing unless you say yes
Club ITC Culinaire, Accorplus, handcrafted Club Marriott Asia Pacific, EazyDiner Prime and Priority Pass renewed automatically each year for as long as the card was open → From 15 Nov 2026 complimentary memberships linked to the card renew only with the cardholder's explicit consent — Axis says renewal and consent details will be shared closer to each renewal date. The same notice flips Priority Pass off at Indian domestic lounges from 28 Aug 2026 (present the Reserve card itself) and adds a ₹1,300 late-payment slab above ₹50,000 outstanding

The Reserve's whole defence of a ₹50,000 fee is the membership stack — Club ITC Culinaire with its free third night, Accorplus, handcrafted Club Marriott Asia Pacific, EazyDiner Prime, and the unlimited Priority Pass. Axis's own Reserve revision notice says that from 15 November none of them renew unless you actively consent. Framed as a choice, it works as breakage: the failure mode of an opt-in is silence, and a cardholder who misses the renewal email keeps paying ₹50,000 for a card whose benefits have quietly lapsed. Reserve is on the same list as Select, Magnus, Magnus for Burgundy, Burgundy Private, Olympus and both Miles & More cards, so this is the whole Axis premium book learning the same trick. Two other things ride the notice: from 28 August the Priority Pass card stops opening Indian domestic lounges — you present the Reserve itself against Axis's own eligible-lounge list, and post-immigration lounges at Indian international terminals still count as international — and a fifth late-payment slab of ₹1,300 appears above ₹50,000 outstanding. Notably, the Reserve notice carries no dynamic-currency-conversion line at all while the bank-wide grid goes 1.5% → 3.5%, and the card's 1.5% foreign transaction fee is untouched.

Accor and Marriott off the grid since 2 April 2026; Club ITC live; no Cathay, Miles & More or Hilton → Accor live at the punished rates; ITC removed; Cathay, Hilton and Miles & More live; Marriott still gone

Axis's own Travel EDGE terms, re-read 25 September 2026, already show the grid that went live on 23 September. Accor ALL is back, and not at the old Atlas 1:2: EDGE Miles convert at 2:1 (Olympus 1:2) and EDGE Rewards at 5:1, with Magnus for Burgundy at 5:2 and only Burgundy Private still at 5:4. Club ITC is off the table. Three partners are new. Cathay Asia Miles sits on that same punished grid. Hilton Honors is the ordinary one: EDGE Miles 1:2, EDGE Rewards 5:2, Burgundy 5:4. Lufthansa Miles & More is the exception on Atlas, which converts 1:1 there while every other standard airline on that card is 1:2; the EDGE Rewards side of Miles & More is the ordinary 5:2. Marriott stays removed. Qatar Privilege Club was already back. Flying Blue, Air India and Qantas moved into Group A, which is the capped group. The Axis Rewards credit card's Amex network is advertised as joining-fee and annual-fee nil for a limited period; there is no separate Amex variant on this board, so that offer is not modelled as a fee change.
