From 1 Nov 2026, the Axis Privilege card’s buy-one-get-one free movie offer on District tickets will be subject to a spend gate of ₹25,000 in the previous 3 calendar months. This spend will be measured at the account level, with EMI transactions counting only at the monthly instalment billed. The introduction of this spend requirement significantly alters the card’s benefits, as the movie offer was one of the two primary reasons to hold the ₹1,500 Privilege card, alongside its eight lounge visits. The change may reduce the card’s appeal to users who do not meet the spend threshold. Our take: the movie BOGO and eight lounge visits were the two reasons anyone held a ₹1,500 Privilege card, and one of them now costs ₹25,000 of settled spend across the prior three months. Use it unconditioned until 1 Nov 2026. After that, if ₹25,000 a quarter isn’t already running through the card, you are paying ₹1,500 for eight lounge visits and nothing else — our board already grades the Privilege a downgrade, and this is one more reason why.
