Welcome: 12-month FITPASS PRO membership (cards issued on or after 1 August 2026); joining fee waived on ₹25,000 of spend in the first 60 days

Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied: it earns nothing on groceries and fuel here, so that spend is dropped, not paid at the headline, and stops pacing milestones and the waiver. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Breaks even only by erasing its fee at ₹33,000 a month

At ₹33,000 a month — ₹3,96,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹1,900 gross (earn ₹1,900) against a fee of ₹0 — the ₹2,499 is waived, the spend having cleared ₹2,50,000 a year = ₹1,900 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.

The take

Tiara is Eterna in a different jacket, and that is a compliment: same ₹2,499, same 3 reward points per ₹100 redeemed as flat ₹0.25 statement credit, same 15 points per ₹100 on dining, travel and international spend, and the same unlimited domestic lounge tier once you have put ₹75,000 through it in the preceding calendar quarter. It also carries the 2% foreign-currency markup that BOBCARD's own Key Fact Statement reserves for exactly six cards — a full point and a half under the 3.5% the rest of its shelf charges. On ₹3 lakh of overseas spend that carve-out alone is worth ₹4,500, which is most of two annual fees. Where Tiara diverges is the recurring furniture: ₹500 quarterly vouchers at Myntra, Nykaa and Flipkart, ₹1,500 a quarter at Lakmé Salon, ₹250 at BigBasket and ₹250 at BookMyShow, annual OTT and music memberships, three months of Swiggy One, and a women's health package with a mammography screening. Count the vouchers at face value and they clear the fee on their own. The catches are Eterna's catches, and they are real: the 5X rate stops at 5,000 points a statement cycle, which is about ₹33,000 of accelerated spend, everything offline collapses to 0.75%, fuel and a long Annexure-1 MCC list earn nothing at all, and the points are cash — there is no airline partner and no international lounge anywhere on this card. Also read the eligibility line before you plan around it: BOBCARD issues Tiara to women only, and even the add-on cards are restricted to female family members.

Your renewal — keep, downgrade or cancel

This card reaches break-even by ERASING its fee, not by out-earning it: the waiver is the decision.

₹2,50,000 annual spend erases that fee
₹33,000/mo is where the waiver, not the earn, saves it

Keep, downgrade or cancel

₹2,499/yr at stake · 5 spend bands

The charge ₹2,499/yr

The waiver ₹2,50,000 of spend in the year before renewal — about ₹20,833 a month — and the renewal fee is not charged.

Break-even ₹33,000 a month — ₹3,96,000 a year — is where this card's value crosses its fee, and it gets there by erasing the fee at the waiver rather than out-earning it.

At your spend

−₹1,100 a year, net of the fee, at ₹3,00,000 of annual spend

₹2,900 a year, net of the fee, at ₹6,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

₹5,800 a year, net of the fee, at ₹12,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

₹17,300 a year, net of the fee, at ₹36,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

₹28,800 a year, net of the fee, at ₹60,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

The downgrade

BOBCARD (Bank of Baroda) publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.

What has changed under this card

  • 25 Aug 2026 BOBCARD withdraws accidental death cover from twenty cards issuer-wide
  • 15 Jul 2026 BOBCARD nearly doubles the spend gate on unlimited domestic lounges issuer-wide
  • 1 Apr 2026 BOBCARD reprices rail, toll and app-routed education issuer-wide

We price what is in force today — a change that has not happened yet is not in these numbers. the full archive for this card →

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • Unlimited complimentary domestic lounge visits, gated on ₹75,000 of net spend in the preceding calendar quarter
  • 2% foreign-currency markup — one of only six BOBCARDs carved out of the 3.5% standing rate
  • 3.75% on dining, travel and international spend, paid as flat ₹0.25 statement credit
  • ₹3,000 a quarter of vouchers plus annual OTT, music and Swiggy One memberships

Watch out

  • Women only — male applicants are not eligible, and add-on cards go to female family members only
  • The 5X rate caps at 5,000 reward points a statement cycle (≈₹33,000 of accelerated spend); after that you are back to 0.75%
  • Fuel earns zero points, and BOBCARD's Annexure-1 special-MCC list earns neither core nor accelerated points
  • No airline or hotel transfer partner and no international lounge — these points are statement credit, not miles
  • Reward points earned on credit-card-on-UPI are capped at ₹500 of value a statement cycle
  • The lounge door needs ₹75,000 of spend in the PREVIOUS quarter; a quiet quarter shuts it for the next one
  • The 12-month FITPASS PRO welcome applies only to cards issued on or after 1 August 2026

What these points actually fly

No live transfer route takes BOBCARD Reward Points into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

What earns, what doesn't

13 sourced rules · 7 pay zero
Fuel excluded — Zero reward points — §1.1: "Fuel transactions don't accrue/earn any reward points on any BOBCARD except HPCL Energie". You get the 1% surcharge waiver (₹400–₹5,000, max ₹250 a statement) instead, and the KFS adds that waived fuel transactions earn no points; fuel of ₹10,000+ also carries a 1% processing fee
Rent & property management excluded — Zero points — MCC 6513 sits in Annexure 1, so it earns neither core nor accelerated points, and every rent transaction carries a non-reversible 1% processing fee
Government / tax excluded — Zero points — Annexure 1 covers 9211, 9222, 9311, 9399, 9402 and 9405
Utilities (electricity/water/gas) full — Core 3 RP/₹100 applies — utilities are NOT in Annexure 1 — but §1.2 expressly bars MCC 4900 from the accelerated bucket, and a utility transaction of ₹50,000 or more carries a 1% processing fee capped at ₹3,000
Insurance excluded — Zero points — Annexure 1 covers 5960 and 6300
Education excluded — Zero points — Annexure 1 covers 8211, 8220, 8241, 8244, 8249 and 8299; paying through Cheq, CRED, Mobikwik, Paytm, PhonePe and the rest also draws a 1% fee capped at ₹5,000 per transaction, w.e.f. 1 Apr 2026
Wallet loads excluded — Zero points — Annexure 1 covers 6539 to 6543, and wallet loads carry a 1% processing fee

Telecom full — Core 3 RP/₹100 — MCC 4814 is in neither Annexure 1 nor the accelerated table
Jewellery / gold full — Core 3 RP/₹100 — 5944 and 5094 are in neither Annexure 1 nor the accelerated table

Markup is 2%, one of only six BOBCARDs inside that carve-out
UPI (RuPay-on-UPI only) capped — Core 3 RP/₹100 only — §1.2: "Credit Card on UPI transactions are not eligible for Accelerated Reward Points/benefit" — and the product page caps UPI reward points at ₹500 of value a statement cycle on top of that

Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?

not published — and we say which

₹2,50,000 a year is the bar that waives the ₹2,499 fee. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.

Not published. BOBCARD (Bank of Baroda) states what the BOBCARD Tiara earns and does not earn, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver — the ₹2,50,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

One Key Fact Statement covers the whole BOBCARD shelf (17 Jul 2026 edition). Tiara is ₹2,499 in both the first-year and the annual column — one figure serving both — reversed on ₹25,000 of spend in the first 60 days and ₹2,50,000 in an anniversary year. It is one of only six BOBCARDs inside the 2% forex carve-out ("Eterna, Tiara, Varunah Premium, ICAI, ICSI, CMA: 2%… All other credit cards: 3.5%"). Interest-free period 20–50 days. Non-reversible 1% processing fees on rent (MCC 6513), wallet loads (6539–6542), utility transactions of ₹50,000+, fuel transactions of ₹10,000+, toll and bus (4784) of ₹5,000+, railway (4112) of ₹30,000+, and third-party education-fee apps — the last four all w.e.f. 1 Apr 2026. Fuel surcharge waiver 1% on ₹400–₹5,000 transactions, max ₹250 a statement, and waived fuel transactions earn no reward points. Cheque return and auto-debit bounce 2% of the payment, min ₹500. Card replacement ₹100. Women-only issuance.

Devaluation minor BOBCARD (Bank of Baroda)
BOBCARD withdraws accidental death cover from twenty cards
Air and Non-Air Accidental Death Cover bundled with Eterna, Eterna (FD), Premier, Premier (FD), Select, Select (FD), Tiara, Empower Business, Corporate Platinum, Swavlamban, Prime, Elite, Platinum Select, Signature, Assure, Renaissance and the three Pragati RRB variants. → No Air or Non-Air Accidental Death Cover. Already gone on anything issued after 15 July 2026; existing cardholders keep it only until 25 August 2026.

BOBCARD's July revision notice has a quiet fourth clause, and it lands on 25 August 2026: the Air and Non-Air Accidental Death Cover comes off twenty product variants at once — not just new cards, but every card already in a wallet. Cards issued after 15 July 2026 never had it. Call it minor and mean it, because this desk does not price the perk and neither should you: air-accident death cover is the benefit every Indian issuer prints in bold and nobody ever claims, it pays only on death in a common carrier, and it costs the issuer almost nothing precisely because it almost never pays. Losing it changes no number on this site. What it signals is the direction: the same notice already moved the unlimited-domestic-lounge gate on Eterna, Eterna (FD), Tiara and Varunah Premium from ₹40,000 to ₹75,000 of preceding-quarter spend, and raised the finance charge on Eterna and Tiara from 3.25% to 3.75% a month. The insurance line is the third cut in one PDF, and it is the one that reaches cards nobody thought were being repriced. ON THE LOUNGE DATE, because BOBCARD published three answers and two of them are still live. The 12 June notice set the ₹75,000 gate for 15 July 2026. Four days later, on 16 June, BOBCARD issued an ADDENDUM — "This communication serves as an addendum to our earlier communication on Friday 12th June 2026" — that DEFERRED the lounge change alone: "₹40,000 in preceding calendar quarter" applicable till 30 September 2026, "₹75,000" from 1 October 2026, with the finance-charge and HPCL clauses left at 15 July. Then the operative Features and Rewards T&C dated 15 July 2026 — which POSTDATES the addendum — prints §5.1 Table1 as "Eterna / Unlimited / Rs. 75,000 in preceding calendar quarter", with no date qualifier and no ₹40,000 anywhere, and BOBCARD's product pages agree. The operative document governs, so ₹75,000 is what this desk carries on all four cards; the addendum is recorded here because a reader who reads the addendum and not the T&C will believe they have until October, ; the ₹75,000 gate is the one that applies.
