The complimentary Etihad Guest Gold tier upgrade now requires a single transaction of ₹10,000 or more on etihad.com within 6 months of card issuance. This change affects cardholders who took the card for its 2 miles per ₹100 and 0% forex benefits, but didn’t intend to book with Etihad. For them, the status is now a ₹10,000 purchase decision rather than a free benefit.
