Air India Group flies the whole routing on its own metal — MAA–BOM on mainline, BOM–AUH on Air India Express — so it books as one Maharaja award at the flat 12,000 Middle East economy tier (Mumbai is on the way, no backtrack). Economy only: the AIX leg carries no business and AI mainline doesn't serve Abu Dhabi. Aeroplan's 15,000 on Etihad's own nonstop is the cleaner buy; this is the fixed-chart alternative.
