What it's worth to you, after the fee
Welcome: None published — neither the product page nor the index tile states a welcome or joining benefit.
Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Pays for itself at ₹5,000 a month
At ₹5,000 a month — ₹60,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹600 gross (earn ₹600) against its ₹499 fee = ₹100 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.
3 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · the network variants · why it ranks #210
Why #210 Ranks here because the travel desk's questions all come back "no": no lounge, 3.5% on foreign spend, no airline or hotel a point can reach. What holds it above the discontinued IndusInd tail is that its 5% band is real, published and generous — ₹1,00,000 of accelerated spend a cycle at a point the issuer itself prices at ₹1.
IndusInd prints both rates rather than making you find out: "1 CRED Reward Points = ₹1" on flight and hotel bookings in the CRED app, CRED Store and select CRED Pay merchants, and "1 CRED Reward Points = ₹0.50" on credit-card and utility bills paid inside CRED. The catch is coverage, not rate — points can cover at most 70% of a flight, hotel or store transaction, and only the ₹0.50 bill-payment rail takes 100%. Nothing transfers anywhere, and points reach the CRED app 2–3 days after the statement, not at the swipe.
The take
Start with what nearly kept this card off the board. It has no lounge access of any kind — the product page does not contain the word, and IndusInd's fee schedule grants it no Priority Pass and no Lounge Key visit. Foreign spend costs the full 3.5%, and the same schedule names this card at the higher 2% dynamic-currency-conversion tier, so IndusInd has thought about it abroad and priced it against you. CRED Reward Points reach no airline and no hotel, at any ratio, ever. What admits it is narrow and real: CRED Travel. Book a flight or a hotel in the CRED app and you earn 5% back, then spend those points on the next booking at a full ₹1 each — the best rate CRED publishes. That is a travel-category accelerator, and it is well-sourced, so the card is in scope. It is also fenced: the 5% band covers e-commerce, anything transacted inside CRED and CRED-app UPI, and it stops at 5,000 points a statement cycle — ₹1,00,000 of accelerated spend, which is generous but finite. Everything outside CRED drops to 1%, including international spend and scan-and-pay, and the points cover at most 70% of a booking. So: a ₹499 RuPay card that pays 5% where CRED can see the transaction and 1% where it cannot, with a ₹1 point that only ever comes back as a discount inside one app. If you already live in CRED, it is a good card. If you are shopping for a travel card, it does not do the two things a travel card does.

The downgrade
IndusInd Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.
What has changed under this card
- 15 Jun 2026 IndusInd doubles its DCC fee to 2% on the mass shelf, and holds 1% on the premium one issuer-wide
- 25 Mar 2025 IndusInd hikes redemption fee to ₹149, caps cash-outs at 50% issuer-wide

If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- 5% back as CRED Reward Points on e-commerce, on CRED Pay/Travel/Store and on UPI through the CRED app
- CRED Travel bookings earn 5% and redeem at ₹1 a point — earn and burn on the same rail
- UPI-linkable RuPay, and UPI inside CRED earns the full 5% rather than a token rate
- Nil joining fee; the fee schedule footnotes the ₹499 renewal away for targeted lifetime-free promotions
- 1% fuel-surcharge waiver on transactions between ₹500 and ₹5,000, at every fuel station in India
- Total Protect — insurance equal to the credit limit against lost-card and counterfeit fraud, add-ons included
Watch out
- No lounge access at all. The product page never uses the word, and the MITC grants this card no Priority Pass or Lounge Key visits — it names neither
- Forex is the full 3.5%: the MITC lists every low-markup IndusInd card by name and closes "All other Credit Cards (not specified above) - 3.5%"
- Dynamic currency conversion costs 2% + GST on this card from 15 June 2026 — the higher of the MITC's two tiers
- CRED Reward Points transfer to nothing. No airline, no hotel, no bank programme, at any ratio
- The 5% band stops at 5,000 points a statement cycle — ₹1,00,000 of accelerated spend, after which everything pays 1%
- Points cover at most 70% of a flight, hotel or CRED Store transaction; only the ₹0.50 bill-payment rail takes 100%
- Leave the CRED app and the rate collapses: scan-and-pay outside CRED earns nothing, utilities and insurance outside CRED earn nothing
- International spend earns the base 1% — a rounding error against the 3.5% markup
- 3.95% a month, 47.40% a year on revolving credit — IndusInd's highest tier, shared with Platinum Aura and Samman
- The published exclusion list is unobtainable: the page's "Click here to know more about the exclusion" link returns the bank's 404 page, so which categories earn nothing is a fact nobody can read
- Points expire 24 months after they are issued, and land in the CRED app only 2–3 days after the statement
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes CRED Reward Points into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

the route in — no cutoffs published
The cutoffs and the actual route in — not the "apply now" button, the door that opens.
Invite-only — there is no public application form. The bank calls you.
There is no public application funnel on either side of the co-brand. IndusInd's credit-card index carries a tile for this card with a "Know More" button and no "Apply Now" — the same shape as its other partner-distributed card and unlike Avios, Pinnacle or Samman, which carry both. CRED's own website has no product page for it at all: the sitemap holds no matching URL and the obvious paths resolve to CRED's 404. Acquisition runs inside the CRED app, to members CRED selects, which is also what the fee schedule's own footnote implies when it exempts "targeted \"Lifetime Free\" limited-time promotions" from the ₹499. The card is not discontinued — IndusInd's MITC lists seven cards as discontinued and this is not one of them — so it is live, and simply not something a reader can walk up to.
IndusInd Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.

The fine print
6 of 7 MITC rows published
What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.
Nil joining, ₹499 annual, and the condition column reads NA — there is no spend-based waiver, only the footnote "The annual fee is not applicable for targeted \"Lifetime Free\" limited-time promotions". Not a discontinued card: the MITC's discontinued line names seven others and not this one. NO LOUNGE EITHER WAY — the card is absent from the Priority-Pass-not-available list AND from every list that grants complimentary visits or Lounge Key, so the document is silent, which is not access. The ATM machine surcharge is expressly not applicable to this card. Fuel carries a 1% fee + GST above ₹30,000 of cumulative fuel spend a cycle from 15-Jun-2026, on top of the product page's 1% waiver for ₹500–₹5,000 transactions.

- 1 Jul 2026Pioneer Legacy's quarterly lounge visit now costs ₹1.5 lakh of spend1 complimentary domestic lounge visit a quarter, no spend condition → From the Jul–Sep 2026 quarter, the visit unlocks only on ₹1,50,000 of previous-quarter spend
The spend-tracking regime IndusInd switched on in April now bites: from the July–September 2026 quarter, Pioneer Legacy's single complimentary domestic lounge visit is granted only if you put ₹1.5 lakh through the card the quarter before. Legacy sits in the same ₹1.5L tier as Pinnacle; Indulge, Solitaire and Crest need ₹5 lakh for theirs. The gate covers the domestic visit — the Priority Pass international allowance isn't part of this condition. On a private-banking card with a ₹50,000 retail joining fee, spend-gating one lounge visit a quarter is a remarkably small door to put a toll on, and IndusInd did it anyway.

A year after halving Legend's lounge visits, IndusInd came back and took the rest. From 7 March 2025 the card offers no complimentary lounge access, domestic or otherwise — on a product still marketed with a ₹5,000 joining fee. The lifetime-free Legend crowd shrugs; anyone who paid for this card on the strength of its airport perks got a two-step lesson in how IndusInd sunsets a benefit.
