at ₹0.4L/month
₹16,900
at ₹1L/month

Welcome: Club Marriott + EazyDiner memberships (claim within 90 days of issuance); the ₹5,000 first-year fee handed back as cashback on ₹1.2L of spend in 90 days

Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied: it earns nothing on fuel here, so that spend is dropped, not paid at the headline, and stops pacing milestones and the waiver. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Pays for itself at ₹30,000 a month

At ₹30,000 a month — ₹3,60,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹5,100 gross (earn ₹5,100) against its ₹5,000 fee = ₹100 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.

2 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · why it ranks #63

Equitas Small Finance Bank · Not published · premium

Why #63 Priced on what the card does today, not what the brochure promises. Club Marriott and EazyDiner are real recurring money and they carry most of this card's value — but they are spend-gated, they expire unclaimed after 90 days, and everything else here is a ₹0.50 closed loop with ₹99 off every redemption. Until the 1:1 airline conversion actually opens, a card called PowerMiles produces no miles, and we will not rank it as though it does.

Our #3 for RuPay & UPI — 1 of the 23 questions this desk ranks.

The take

PowerMiles is Equitas's swing at the travel crowd, and the bones are good for a ₹5,000 card: 3 reward points per ₹100, tripled to 9 on international spend, complimentary Club Marriott and EazyDiner memberships, and eight domestic plus four international lounge visits a year. The card is named for a feature that does not exist yet — the 1:1 conversion to airlines and hotels is stamped "to go live from Sep'26" on Equitas's own page, so today the points are worth ₹0.50 on travel and vouchers and ₹0.25 as cashback, minus ₹99 every time you redeem. That makes it an earn-and-burn card at 1.5%, not a miles powerhouse. Two things to read carefully before you believe the brochure: the ₹5,000 is one charge a year, refundable in year one at ₹1.2 lakh and waivable after that at ₹4.8 lakh but never on the GST — and the 3X international credit is granted, in the bank's own words, "on best effort basis based on merchant categories." Worth holding through the fee reversal (₹1.2L in 90 days) to see whether the transfer partners actually switch on.

₹5,000/yr at stake · 5 spend bands

The charge ₹5,000/yr

The waiver ₹4,80,000 of spend in the year before renewal — about ₹40,000 a month — and the renewal fee is not charged.

Break-even ₹30,000 a month — ₹3,60,000 a year — is where this card's value crosses its fee.

At your spend

−₹800 a year, net of the fee, at ₹3,00,000 of annual spend

₹8,500 a year, net of the fee, at ₹6,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

₹16,900 a year, net of the fee, at ₹12,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

₹50,800 a year, net of the fee, at ₹36,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

₹84,600 a year, net of the fee, at ₹60,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

Everyday earn plus milestones, minus the fee — the same model as the value panel above, so the two cannot disagree. run your exact spend →

The downgrade

Equitas Small Finance Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.

If you call to cancel

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • 3 reward points/₹100 base, 9/₹100 on international spends
  • 1:1 miles transfers to 9 airlines + IHG/Wyndham — launching September 2026
  • Club Marriott + EazyDiner memberships, renewed annually on the same spend you need for the fee waiver
  • The fee is escapable in both directions: ₹1.2L in 90 days refunds year one, ₹4.8L a year waives the renewal
  • 3-year point validity — a year longer than Equitas's other cards

Watch out

  • The 1:1 airline transfer program is NOT live until Sep 2026 — until then points cap at ₹0.50 on travel
  • GST on the ₹5,000 is never reversed — not when year one is refunded, not when a renewal is waived
  • ₹99 per redemption request, and a 500-point minimum — small redemptions are eaten alive
  • 2% forex at every tier — Equitas publishes no zero-forex tier for this card, contrary to community write-ups
  • Lounge access is modest — 2 domestic + 1 international per quarter, no guest access, no carry-forward; the international visit is a Priority Pass room OUTSIDE India, so it does nothing for you at a Delhi gate
  • Groceries and utilities cap at 2,000 RP/month each, insurance at 2,000 RP/day; rent, fuel, wallet, EMI and government earn nothing
  • Memberships must be claimed within 90 days of issuance on the Xchange portal or they expire unrenewably
  • New small-finance-bank program — transfer partners unproven until they go live

What these points actually fly

No live transfer route takes Equitas PowerMiles Points into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?

not published — and we say which

₹4,80,000 a year is the bar that waives the ₹5,000 fee. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.

Not published. Equitas Small Finance Bank states what the Equitas PowerMiles earns and does not earn, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver — the ₹4,80,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

Metal card on Visa or RuPay, open to public application. ₹5,000 + GST a year: the MITC and Key Fact Statement print that number in both the joining and annual columns — as they do for all six Equitas variants — and the product page names the two halves, "get the first-year fee free" on ₹1.2L of spend in 90 days and "get the renewal fee waived off" at ₹4.8L in the preceding anniversary year. GST is reversed in neither case. Earn 3 RP/₹100 base, 9/₹100 (3x) international, the 3x credited "on best effort basis based on merchant categories (MCC)". Points valid 3 years (2 on Tiga/Selfe) and nullified if the card goes 365 days unused. Fuel-surcharge waiver 1%, capped ₹450/month and ₹5,400/year. All Equitas cards sit on the bank-wide Club Xplorer Privilege Program (Blue default; Silver ₹20k / Gold ₹40k / Platinum ₹60k / Diamond ₹1L per month over 3 consecutive months, re-scored quarterly) — its published benefits are richer redemption value, bonus points, vouchers, golf, a ₹3,000 flight and a ₹3,500 room night, but NO forex waiver at any tier. The 1:1 airline-miles transfer program launches Sep 2026 (still not live at 2026-08-08).
