What it's worth to you, after the fee
Welcome: ₹500 Amazon voucher on ₹1,000 of spend within the first 30 days — an online-application-only offer, so a branch application forfeits it
Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied: it earns nothing on fuel here, so that spend is dropped, not paid at the headline, and stops pacing milestones and the waiver. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Pays for itself at ₹6,000 a month
At ₹6,000 a month — ₹72,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹700 gross (earn ₹700) against its ₹588 fee = ₹100 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.

Best real exit: Air India Maharaja Points at ₹0.05/pt (15:1 transfer).
The take
BYOC is the only Indian credit card we know of that charges by the month, and the only one that lets you pick its currency at issuance — Rewards, priced at ₹49 a month, or Cashback at ₹99, a choice the bank's own FAQ says can never be reversed, not even at re-issuance. This page prices the Rewards side: ₹588 a year in monthly instalments for a flat 8 points per ₹200 on everything but fuel, explicitly uncapped, which is 1.0% at the portal value. Add domestic lounge access — one visit a quarter on the Mastercard programme once you have spent ₹50,000 in the previous one — and for a card with no annual fee in the ordinary sense it is a coherent little product. The caveats are the shelf's: 3.50% forex, and YES Rewardz that pay ₹0.25 only inside YES's own flight-and-hotel portal, ₹0.10 as statement credit, with a 15:1 Air India route worth about ₹0.07 that is a trap rather than an exit. The subscription plans on top — ₹99 to ₹249 a month for 10% at merchants you choose, capped at ₹100 per merchant per cycle — are optional and, at those caps, usually not worth it.

The downgrade
YES Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- Flat 8 RP/₹200 ≈ 1.0% on everything except fuel, and the bank's own FAQ says it is uncapped
- ₹49 + taxes a month for the Rewards core benefit — no annual fee, no spend waiver to chase
- One complimentary domestic lounge visit a quarter after ₹50,000 of spend in the previous one
- Regular card costs nothing one-time; eco-friendly is ₹249 and metal ₹3,499
Watch out
- Billed MONTHLY — the ₹588 shown here is 12 × the published ₹49, a figure YES never prints
- Rewards vs Cashback is chosen at issuance and can NEVER be switched, not even on re-issuance (the bank's own FAQ)
- The BYOC Cashback twin costs ₹99 a month and pays 1% cashback capped at ₹1,000 a statement cycle — a different card on the same chassis
- Optional merchant plans add ₹99–₹249 a month for 10% back capped at ₹100 per merchant per cycle
- 3.50% forex plus a 1% DCC — this is not a card to take abroad
- YES Rewardz pay ₹0.25 only on portal flights/hotels and ₹0.10 as statement credit; the 15:1 Maharaja route pays ≈₹0.07
- Utility points capped at 600 a statement cycle; zero points on rent, wallet, fuel, government, insurance, education, railways, toll, ferry and jewellery
What these points actually fly
YES Rewardz (YES CC Rewardz) move to Air India Maharaja Points — and that programme prices every award dynamically. There is no published chart to quote, so we quote nothing: an estimate is not a seat.

What earns, what doesn't
9 sourced rules · 8 pay zero
BYOC's glossary carries TWO lists because the card has two perks, and they differ: the Cashback perk excludes Utility outright, while the Rewards perk we model earns on utilities up to 600 points a statement cycle. Everything below is the Rewards perk — 8 Reward Points per ₹200 on all spends.
- Fuel · excluded "Not valid on Fuel transactions" (MCCs 5172, 5541, 5542, 5983, 9752); a 1% fuel-surcharge waiver applies instead, capped ₹125 a statement cycle
- Rent & property management · excluded Zero points (MCC 6513); 1% fee, minimum ₹199 above ₹1,000, capped at 5 rent transactions per 30 days
- Wallet loads · excluded Zero points (MCC 6540); 1% fee on a third-party wallet load above ₹2,000
- Utilities (electricity/water/gas) · capped Capped at 600 YES Rewardz Points a statement cycle (MCC 4900) — the second loosest ceiling YES publishes. Note the sibling: the BYOC Cashback perk excludes utilities entirely, so the perk you picked decides this answer

Direct application — no invite list, no banking relationship required.
A public online application at ₹25,000 a month net salary or a ₹7.5 lakh ITR, age 21 to 60. The decision that matters is made before you apply, not after: you pick Rewards or Cashback at issuance and the bank's FAQ is blunt that it cannot be changed afterwards or at re-issuance, and the same goes for the card material. Everything else — the merchant subscription plan, the card image — is yours to change monthly from the app. Holding any other YES credit card closes the online form.

The fine print
7 of 7 MITC rows published
What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.
BYOC is billed MONTHLY, not annually: no joining or annual fee at all, but ₹49 + GST a month for the Rewards perk (₹99 for the Cashback perk) and an optional merchant plan on top at ₹99 / ₹149 / ₹249 a month for Silver / Gold / Platinum. The plastic is a one-time charge — nil for regular, ₹249 for eco-friendly, ₹3,499 for metal — and re-issuance follows the same three-tier split (₹199 / ₹349 / ₹3,599 + GST from 15-Jun-2026, up from ₹100 for the regular card). Domestic lounge access gated on ₹50,000 of prior-quarter spend. Utility reward points capped at 600 a statement cycle. YES will not issue BYOC to an existing YES BANK credit-card holder.

- 23 Sept 2026Axis EDGE brings Accor back, drops ITC, and adds Cathay, Miles & More and HiltonAccor and Marriott off the grid since 2 April 2026; Club ITC live; no Cathay, Miles & More or Hilton → Accor live at the punished rates; ITC removed; Cathay, Hilton and Miles & More live; Marriott still gone
Axis's own Travel EDGE terms, re-read 25 September 2026, already show the grid that went live on 23 September. Accor ALL is back, and not at the old Atlas 1:2: EDGE Miles convert at 2:1 (Olympus 1:2) and EDGE Rewards at 5:1, with Magnus for Burgundy at 5:2 and only Burgundy Private still at 5:4. Club ITC is off the table. Three partners are new. Cathay Asia Miles sits on that same punished grid. Hilton Honors is the ordinary one: EDGE Miles 1:2, EDGE Rewards 5:2, Burgundy 5:4. Lufthansa Miles & More is the exception on Atlas, which converts 1:1 there while every other standard airline on that card is 1:2; the EDGE Rewards side of Miles & More is the ordinary 5:2. Marriott stays removed. Qatar Privilege Club was already back. Flying Blue, Air India and Qantas moved into Group A, which is the capped group. The Axis Rewards credit card's Amex network is advertised as joining-fee and annual-fee nil for a limited period; there is no separate Amex variant on this board, so that offer is not modelled as a fee change.
