What it's worth to you, after the fee
Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — and a business card's accelerator is usually the point. This card is not on the board, which ranks personal cards only; it is ranked against other business cards on /best/business, where the tax, GST and vendor-payment rungs ARE credited and its ₹ reads higher.

Pays for itself at ₹17,000 a month
At ₹17,000 a month — ₹2,04,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹500 gross (earn ₹500) against its ₹499 fee = ₹0 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.
2 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · the network variants
Kotak Biz points are worth 25 paise on the catalogue — the full house value — and were cut to 20 paise for statement credit on 1 June 2025, with a 2,000-point minimum. The rates here are the catalogue ones; take the cash and lose a fifth.
The take
Kotak sells Biz under personal banking rather than to corporates, and it is built for someone running a business off their own card: 4 Reward Points per ₹100 on travel agencies, domestic airlines, hotels, motels, resorts, supermarkets and advertising spend — 1% at the 25-paise catalogue rate — and 1 per ₹100 on everything else. The accelerated list is defined by Visa MCC, not by adjective, which means the airline and hotel bookings genuinely count. The lounge access is the honest catch. It is not a quota; it is a treadmill. You get complimentary domestic lounge visits in a calendar quarter only if you put ₹75,000 through the card in the PREVIOUS quarter. Kotak's benefit block never says how many visits that buys — the page's own meta description does, and it says one a quarter. The doors are the rooms on Kotak's own participating-lounge list, not a Visa or Mastercard programme. Miss a quarter and the door shuts. On top sit a ₹2,500-a-year fuel surcharge waiver, the railway surcharge waiver, and a travel insurance bundle with a ₹50,000 card-liability cover and ₹10,000 for a six-hour flight delay. ₹299 to take it out and ₹499 a year to keep, with no spend that waives either — Kotak prints NA in both waiver columns. Wallet loading, fuel, rent and online gaming earn nothing. For a sole proprietor booking flights and hotels on their own card at ₹75,000 a quarter, it pays for itself. Below that spend it is a 0.25% card with a fee.

The downgrade
Kotak Mahindra Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.
What has changed under this card
- 8 Sep 2026 Flying Blue splits award tickets into Light / Standard / Flex — a 25% rise for the same product a program these points reach
- 1 Jun 2025 Kotak's June-2025 fee wave washes over the premium deck issuer-wide
- 12 Feb 2025 RBI lifts Kotak's ten-month card-issuance ban issuer-wide

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- 4 Reward Points per ₹100 on travel agencies, domestic airlines, hotels and supermarkets — 1% at the catalogue rate
- 1 complimentary domestic lounge visit a calendar quarter, on Kotak's own participating-lounge list, after ₹75,000 of spend in the previous quarter
- Travel insurance including ₹50,000 card-liability cover and ₹10,000 for a flight delay over six hours
- 1% fuel surcharge waived between ₹500 and ₹5,000, up to ₹2,500 a calendar year
- Railway surcharge waived — 1.8% on IRCTC, 2.5% at counters, up to ₹500 a calendar year
Watch out
- Neither fee waives at any spend: Kotak prints NA in both waiver columns
- The joining fee and the annual fee are different numbers — ₹299 to get it, ₹499 a year to keep it
- Lounge access is not a quota — it must be re-earned with ₹75,000 of spend every quarter, and the visit count appears only in the page's meta description, never in the benefit block
- The international door is shut: Kotak deactivated every Priority Pass card on 19 June 2023 and Biz is not on its international-lounge variant list
- Statement credit pays 20 paise a point since 1-Jun-2025, down from 25, with a 2,000-point minimum
- Wallet loading, fuel, rent and online skill-based gaming earn nothing
- Kotak publishes no Key Fact Statement for this card — the fees come from the bank's schedule of charges
- Kotak's own page points to the MITC for per-category earn caps it does not print on the page
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes Kotak Reward Points into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

the route in — no cutoffs published
The cutoffs and the actual route in — not the "apply now" button, the door that opens.
Direct application — no invite list, no banking relationship required.
A public application, but read where Kotak files it: the card is sold on the PERSONAL banking path and priced in the retail schedule of charges, not the corporate one — which is what separates it from Kotak's Corporate Platinum, Gold and Wealth Signature range. Its sibling BizEdge sits the other way round, with a Key Fact Statement under /corporate-cards/. The positioning is a sole proprietor or a small-business owner spending on their own card.
Kotak Mahindra Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.

- 30 Sept 2026Dream Different's unredeemed reward points expire after 30 September 2026Reward points accrued on the Dream Different Credit Card up to 31 March 2026 sitting in the account with no stated expiry date → A hard forfeiture date — "After 30th September, 2026, any unredeemed Reward Points will automatically expire"
The second half of the note that closed the programme is the part holders can still act on. Kotak's cardholder agreement gives every Dream Different point accrued up to 31 March 2026 a six-month redemption window that shuts on 30 September 2026, after which unredeemed points are forfeited outright. At the agreement's own conversion rate of 25 paise per point, a year of the card's headline 4-points-per-₹100 online earn on ₹1 lakh of online spend is roughly 4,000 points, about ₹1,000 — small money, but money that becomes zero on 1 October. Points redeem against the Kotak catalogue (flights, hotels, vouchers, merchandise) or as a statement credit through the rewards portal or the contact centre, each with its own minimum, so a last-week redemption risks missing the date on processing alone.
