What it's worth to you, after the fee
Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — and a business card's accelerator is usually the point. This card is not on the board, which ranks personal cards only; it is ranked against other business cards on /best/business, where the tax, GST and vendor-payment rungs ARE credited and its ₹ reads higher.

Pays for itself at ₹44,000 a month
At ₹44,000 a month — ₹5,28,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹3,500 gross (earn ₹3,500) against its ₹3,499 fee = ₹0 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.
2 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · why it ranks #459
Why #459 A business card carried, not ranked. What it is: the credit card Kotak hands a Solitaire Business banking client — 1.99% forex, a 7X accelerator on flights and hotels booked through Kotak Unbox, and a lounge quota of one domestic visit a quarter plus one Priority Pass international visit a year.
Kotak prints a per-point value on this card: "1 Reward Point = ₹0.50 when redeemed via the Kotak Unbox platform", against a house value of ₹0.25 for the shared Kotak Reward Points pool — so this card's points are worth double the Kotak norm, provided you burn them on Unbox. There is no airline or hotel transfer route: Kotak Reward Points are a closed-loop catalogue currency. Redemption needs a minimum of 500 points, up to 100% of an Unbox cart can be paid in points, and points lapse two years after they are credited.
The take
Solitaire Business is what a Kotak Solitaire banking relationship buys on the company side of the ledger, and it is unusually legible for a corporate card: Kotak publishes the fee, the earn, the redemption rate and a full value chart, where most Indian issuers refuse to price their commercial book at all. The travel case is real. Forex is 1.99% against India's 3.5% norm — a saving Kotak itself scores at ₹1,359 on ₹90,000 of overseas spend — and flights and hotels booked through Kotak Unbox earn 7X, which is 14 Reward Points per ₹150, or 4.67% at the ₹0.50 Unbox rate the bank prints. Everything else earns 0.67%, which is thin, and the categories a business actually runs volume through are worse: utilities, insurance, government payments and railways pay 0.33% and stop dead at 1,000 points a statement cycle. International spend earns nothing at all, so the markup is the whole overseas story. Lounges are modest for a ₹3,499 card — one domestic visit a quarter, one Priority Pass international visit a year — and the fee is Nil only while the company stays inside the Solitaire programme; step outside it and you need ₹6 lakh of spend in twelve months to keep the waiver.

The downgrade
Kotak Mahindra Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.
What has changed under this card
- 8 Sep 2026 Flying Blue splits award tickets into Light / Standard / Flex — a 25% rise for the same product a program these points reach
- 1 Jun 2025 Kotak's June-2025 fee wave washes over the premium deck issuer-wide
- 12 Feb 2025 RBI lifts Kotak's ten-month card-issuance ban issuer-wide

If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- 1.99% foreign transaction markup against India's 3.5% norm
- 7X Reward Points per ₹150 on flights and hotels booked via Kotak Unbox — 4.67% at Kotak's published ₹0.50 a point
- 1 Reward Point = ₹0.50 on Kotak Unbox, double the house value of the shared Kotak Reward Points pool
- 1 domestic lounge visit a quarter, plus 1 international visit a year through Priority Pass
- Nil joining fee, and Nil annual fee for as long as the company stays in the Kotak Solitaire programme
- 1% fuel surcharge waiver on ₹500–₹5,000 fills, capped at ₹5,000 an anniversary year — Kotak's second-biggest cap
Watch out
- International spends earn ZERO Reward Points — Kotak excludes them by name
- The "special categories" bucket — utilities, groceries, insurance, government payments, railways — earns 0.33% and stops at 1,000 points a statement cycle
- Rent, wallets, fuel, education and EMI transactions earn nothing
- ₹3,499 a year if the company leaves the Solitaire programme, waived only on ₹6 lakh of spend in 12 months
- No cash withdrawal at all — "not applicable under Corporate Card Corporate Liability Program"
- The interest-free period is 18 to 48 days, shorter at the near end than Kotak's consumer cards
- Reward Points are a closed-loop catalogue currency — no airline or hotel transfer partners, and they lapse after two years
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes Kotak Reward Points into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

What earns, what doesn't
1 sourced rule
Kotak's product page prices "special categories" at half the ordinary rate inside one 1,000-point bucket, and government payments are named in it. Only the government row is asserted here.
- Government / tax · reduced 1 Reward Point per ₹150 vs 2 Reward Points per ₹150 — Kotak's "special categories" of utilities, groceries, insurance, government payments and railway bookings earn half the ordinary rate, 0.33% at the published ₹0.50 Unbox redemption, and the whole bucket is capped at 1,000 points a statement cycle SHARED across all five. Kotak publishes no split of that ceiling, so no rupee of it belongs to government alone and this desk prices no government ₹ against it

Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?
not published — and we say which
₹6,00,000 a year is the bar that waives the ₹3,499 fee. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.
Not published. Kotak Mahindra Bank states what the Kotak Solitaire Business earns and does not earn, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver — the ₹6,00,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

This is a relationship card, not an application. It rides on the Kotak Solitaire Business banking programme, and the KFS is explicit that the terms sit alongside a "Kotak Corporate Credit Card Agreement of the Bank ("Corporate Agreement") duly signed at the time of on-boarding". Outside the programme the card carries ₹3,499 a year with a ₹6-lakh spend waiver. Kotak publishes no income or turnover cutoff of its own for it.
Kotak Mahindra Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.

- 30 Sept 2026Dream Different's unredeemed reward points expire after 30 September 2026Reward points accrued on the Dream Different Credit Card up to 31 March 2026 sitting in the account with no stated expiry date → A hard forfeiture date — "After 30th September, 2026, any unredeemed Reward Points will automatically expire"
The second half of the note that closed the programme is the part holders can still act on. Kotak's cardholder agreement gives every Dream Different point accrued up to 31 March 2026 a six-month redemption window that shuts on 30 September 2026, after which unredeemed points are forfeited outright. At the agreement's own conversion rate of 25 paise per point, a year of the card's headline 4-points-per-₹100 online earn on ₹1 lakh of online spend is roughly 4,000 points, about ₹1,000 — small money, but money that becomes zero on 1 October. Points redeem against the Kotak catalogue (flights, hotels, vouchers, merchandise) or as a statement credit through the rewards portal or the contact centre, each with its own minimum, so a last-week redemption risks missing the date on processing alone.
