Welcome: None you can still claim — the card is closed to new applications, and IndusInd's Vouchagram welcome vouchers were footnoted "only applicable on select fee plan".

Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied: it earns nothing on fuel here, so that spend is dropped, not paid at the headline, and stops pacing milestones and the waiver. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Pays from the first rupee

At ₹1,000 a month — ₹12,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹100 gross (earn ₹100) against its ₹0 fee = ₹100 net — at or above ₹0 from the first rung we price. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.

IndusInd Bank · Amex · premium

Amex — Amex only — IndusInd's own page says the Iconia Amex is not offered on Mastercard, and the Visa Iconia is a separate, weaker card with no lounge access

Why #695 Held at the board's tail even though the value model scores it mid-table, and the model is not wrong: eight American Express lounge visits a year on a card with no renewal fee is a genuinely good hand. But it is closed to new applications, and a card nobody can apply for does not outrank the cards they can. This page is for the people who already hold one.

Iconia redeems IndusInd points below the ₹0.80 house value that the Tiger's 1:1 Maharaja route sets: non-cash redemptions other than airmiles pay ₹0.75/RP and cash credit pays ₹0.50, both cut on 1 March 2024, with cash capped at 5,000 points a calendar month since 1 September 2024. The KrisFlyer table this card's own Rewards section links runs at 4:1 — ₹0.275 a point, a decoy. Our 1.1% rate bakes the ₹0.75 haircut in.

Best real exit: Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer at ₹0.28/pt (4:1 transfer).

The take

Two complimentary Amex-lounge visits a quarter, for the primary card AND every add-on, on a card whose only recurring cost is nothing at all — the ₹3,499 was a one-off issuance charge and the renewal fee is nil. That is a better lounge-per-rupee deal than most cards on this board, and it is why a discontinued card gets a page. The rooms are IndusInd's own American Express list — 35 of them, Encalm and Travel Club and 080 and Primus, domestic and international terminals across India, entered by swiping the card at the Amex terminal at the door. Earn is respectable for its era too: 1.5 reward points per ₹100 on weekdays and 2 on weekends, worth ₹0.75 apiece against vouchers, which makes it a 1.1% card that doubles to 1.5% at the weekend. What you do not get is anything international: every participating lounge is in India, IndusInd's fee schedule says outright that Priority Pass is not available on Iconia, and forex is the full 3.5%. If you hold one, keep it — there is no renewal fee to justify and eight free lounge visits a year to lose. If you don't, you can't; IndusInd stopped sourcing it and points you at the current range instead.

IndusInd Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • 2 complimentary American Express lounge visits a quarter — and add-on cardholders get the same allowance
  • No renewal fee: a one-time ₹3,499 issuance charge and nothing after it
  • 2 RP/₹100 on weekends (≈1.5%), 1.5 on weekdays (≈1.1%) at the ₹0.75 voucher value
  • 35 participating lounges, domestic and international terminals, across 20 Indian cities

Watch out

  • Closed to new applications — IndusInd's own page: "we have discontinued this product for new sourcing"
  • No lounges outside India, and no Priority Pass: the MITC names Iconia in the list where Priority Pass is not available
  • The page's own Priority Pass and Travel Plus blocks are footnoted "Not applicable on Amex cards" — those are Visa-Iconia programmes, and both are paid anyway
  • Points are worth ₹0.75 against vouchers, ₹0.50 in cash — and KrisFlyer at 4:1 pays ₹0.275, below what the cash button gives you
  • Cash redemption capped at 5,000 points a calendar month since 1-Sep-2024, with a ₹149 fee
  • Forex is the full 3.5%, plus a dynamic-currency-conversion fee if a foreign terminal bills you in rupees — 1% until 14 Jun 2026, and from 15 Jun IndusInd's revised list names the Visa Iconia at 2% while naming this Amex edition at neither rate; 1% is the last rate clearly published for this card
  • Utilities, insurance, government, education and rent earn 0.70 RP/₹100, not 1.5
  • Fuel has earned nothing since 1 April 2018, and costs 1% above ₹50,000 of cumulative fuel spend in a statement cycle, from 4 May 2025
  • Club Vistara redemptions closed 31-Oct-2024 and InterMiles closed 21-Jan-2025 — both were exits this card advertised

Axis EDGE brings Accor back, drops ITC, and adds Cathay, Miles & More and Hilton
Accor and Marriott off the grid since 2 April 2026; Club ITC live; no Cathay, Miles & More or Hilton → Accor live at the punished rates; ITC removed; Cathay, Hilton and Miles & More live; Marriott still gone

Axis's own Travel EDGE terms, re-read 25 September 2026, already show the grid that went live on 23 September. Accor ALL is back, and not at the old Atlas 1:2: EDGE Miles convert at 2:1 (Olympus 1:2) and EDGE Rewards at 5:1, with Magnus for Burgundy at 5:2 and only Burgundy Private still at 5:4. Club ITC is off the table. Three partners are new. Cathay Asia Miles sits on that same punished grid. Hilton Honors is the ordinary one: EDGE Miles 1:2, EDGE Rewards 5:2, Burgundy 5:4. Lufthansa Miles & More is the exception on Atlas, which converts 1:1 there while every other standard airline on that card is 1:2; the EDGE Rewards side of Miles & More is the ordinary 5:2. Marriott stays removed. Qatar Privilege Club was already back. Flying Blue, Air India and Qantas moved into Group A, which is the capped group. The Axis Rewards credit card's Amex network is advertised as joining-fee and annual-fee nil for a limited period; there is no separate Amex variant on this board, so that offer is not modelled as a fee change.
