Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied: it earns nothing on fuel here, so that spend is dropped, not paid at the headline, and stops pacing milestones and the waiver. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Pays from the first rupee

At ₹1,000 a month — ₹12,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹100 gross (earn ₹100) against its ₹0 fee = ₹100 net — at or above ₹0 from the first rung we price. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.

Why #115 The only one of ICICI's three MakeMyTrip cards a reader can still buy AND keep for nothing — ranked above the richer Signature because that door is bricked up, below the ₹999 because this one earns half as much.

The take

The forgotten middle child of ICICI's MakeMyTrip range, and on fee shape alone it is the easiest keep on this shelf. You pay ₹500 at the door and never pay again: the annual fee is nil, which is the one number no ₹999 card can match. For that you get a ₹3,000 MakeMyTrip holiday voucher and ₹500 of myCash on day one, a domestic lounge visit every quarter, four railway lounge visits a year, and two anniversary milestones worth 1,000 myCash each — ₹1,000 at ₹50,000 of MakeMyTrip bookings and ₹1,000 more at ₹2.5 lakh of total spend. The earn is where the price shows. Everything is priced per ₹200, not per ₹100: ₹3 myCash on MakeMyTrip hotels and holidays (1.5%), ₹2 on MakeMyTrip flights (1%), ₹1.25 on international (0.625%) and ₹1 on everything else (0.5%). The ₹999 MakeMyTrip ICICI earns twice that on every line and charges 0.99% forex against this card's 3.5% — ICICI's own MITC names the Platinum as an explicit exclusion from the 0.99%. So this is not the card you spend on. It is the card you keep in a drawer for the lounge quota and the vouchers, at a running cost of exactly zero. On those terms, keep.

The downgrade

ICICI Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.

What has changed under this card

  • 10 Sep 2026 ICICI's September lounge list drops four doors and adds Bhogapuram issuer-wide
  • 29 Aug 2026 ICICI un-reserves Mumbai's Adani Silver lounge — the whole Annexure-1 board gets in issuer-wide
  • 1 Jul 2026 ICICI's lounge-gate exemption expires for Adani One and MakeMyTrip issuer-wide

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • Annual fee NIL — ₹500 once at the door and nothing ever again
  • ₹3,500 of first-year value: a ₹3,000 MakeMyTrip holiday voucher + ₹500 myCash
  • 4 domestic lounge visits a year (1 a quarter) + 4 railway lounge visits
  • 2,000 myCash of annual milestones: 1,000 at ₹50k of MMT bookings, 1,000 at ₹2.5L of spend
  • 1% fuel surcharge waiver on ₹400–₹4,000 at HPCL pumps

Watch out

  • Everything earns per ₹200, not ₹100: base spends are 0.5%, MakeMyTrip flights just 1%
  • 3.5% forex — the MITC names this card as an explicit exclusion from the 0.99% the ₹999 MakeMyTrip card gets
  • myCash expires ONE YEAR after it lands in your MakeMyTrip wallet
  • myCash is a closed MakeMyTrip wallet: no transfers, no cash-out, no airline
  • Domestic lounges need ₹75,000 of prior-calendar-quarter spend, primary cardholder only
  • The MakeMyTrip page it shares with the withdrawn Signature carries that card's closure notice, not this one's — this card is open

What these points actually fly

No live transfer route takes MakeMyTrip myCash into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

What earns, what doesn't

6 sourced rules · 4 pay zero

Earns myCash, not ICICI Reward Points, and the MITC's cap tables name neither MakeMyTrip variant — so the exclusions below are the card T&C's own closed list plus the two ICICI-wide rules that bind every card. The MITC's ₹0.99 forex exception explicitly does NOT reach this card, so it pays the full 3.5% markup while the ₹999 MakeMyTrip card pays 0.99%.

Fuel excluded — "Fuel transactions done on the MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank Credit Card" earn no myCash
Rent & property management excluded — Zero on every ICICI card — "No reward point will be extended for the transaction routed from 6513 MCC for all credit cards" — plus the 1% rent-pay fee
Government / tax not applicable
Utilities (electricity/water/gas) full — ₹1 myCash per ₹200, the ordinary domestic rate: the T&C's non-qualifying list is closed and names no utility exclusion, and the MITC's utility cap table does not list this variant. A 1% fee still applies to utility spend above ₹50,000 a cycle.
Insurance not applicable
Education not applicable
Wallet loads excluded — Zero under the MITC's E-Wallet Reload exclusion (MCC 6540), which exempts only Amazon Pay ICICI; 1% fee on loads of ₹5,000 or more w.e.f. 15 Jan 2026
Groceries & supermarkets not applicable
Dining & food delivery not applicable
Telecom not applicable
Jewellery / gold not applicable
Forex / international spends full — ₹1.25 myCash per ₹200 vs ₹1.00 domestic — international spend earns MORE here, which is rare — but against a 3.5% markup, not the 0.99% the flagship MakeMyTrip card gets
UPI (RuPay-on-UPI only) not applicable
EMI conversions / merchant EMI excluded — EMI, balance transfer and PLCC spend earns no myCash AND is struck out of both spend milestones (₹50,000 on MakeMyTrip, ₹2.5L overall)
  • Fuel · excluded "Fuel transactions done on the MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank Credit Card" earn no myCash
  • Rent & property management · excluded Zero on every ICICI card — "No reward point will be extended for the transaction routed from 6513 MCC for all credit cards" — plus the 1% rent-pay fee
  • Wallet loads · excluded Zero under the MITC's E-Wallet Reload exclusion (MCC 6540), which exempts only Amazon Pay ICICI; 1% fee on loads of ₹5,000 or more w.e.f. 15 Jan 2026
  • EMI conversions / merchant EMI · excluded EMI, balance transfer and PLCC spend earns no myCash AND is struck out of both spend milestones (₹50,000 on MakeMyTrip, ₹2.5L overall)

Does your spend count toward the milestones?

not published — and we say which

₹50,000 a year is the bar for the first milestone. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.

Not published. ICICI Bank states what the MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank Platinum earns and does not earn, but has not published which spend categories count toward the milestones — the ₹50,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

A live public application on ICICI's own page, at the same entry bar as its cheap shelf — 21 years old, ₹20,000 a month salaried. The trap is the page itself: it belongs to the Platinum but carries a notice about the Signature variant being withdrawn, so a reader skimming it concludes the wrong card is shut. If you book through MakeMyTrip and can pay ₹999 a year, take the ₹999 MakeMyTrip ICICI instead — double the earn and 0.99% forex. If you want a MakeMyTrip card with no recurring cost at all, this is the only one still selling.

What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.

Add-on card ₹199 per supplementary card
Overlimit 2.5%, min ₹550
Redemption fee Moot — rewards land as myCash in the MakeMyTrip wallet, not in ICICI's rewards catalogue

Fee ₹500 joining and NIL annual, with no spend threshold in the table — a joining-only card, so the only cost is at the door. The ₹75,000-a-quarter domestic lounge gate applies: this variant is absent from the exemption list, which named only the ₹999 MakeMyTrip card and only "till Jun 30, 2026". Fuel earns no myCash — the fuel exception list names Parakram, Parakram Select, the ₹999 MakeMyTrip card and HPCL Coral Amex, not this one — but the 1% surcharge waiver on ₹400–₹4,000 at HPCL POS still applies. The card's own T&C prices myCash at ₹1 and expires it one year after credit. BookMyShow offer gated on ₹25,000 of preceding-quarter spend w.e.f. 15-Jan-2026.

    Lounge minor ICICI Bank
ICICI's September lounge list drops four doors and adds Bhogapuram
The prior edition opened Bhubaneswar's landside Bird Lounge, Vadodara's Premium Lounge, Visakhapatnam's Airr Lounge and Bar, and Dehradun's landside Bird Lounge, and filed Ahmedabad T2 international as The Lounge opposite Gate 3 → Those four rooms are gone. Bhubaneswar keeps O'Vetra near Gate 8, Dehradun keeps Carnations in the security hold, Vadodara is off the list, and Visakhapatnam's rows are Encalm domestic and international at Bhogapuram. Ahmedabad T2 international is Adani Silver Lounge - International, Gate 08, and it is not asterisked

ICICI re-saved its consolidated domestic lounge list on 10 September 2026 and moved rooms, not quotas. Four doors an Annexure-1 card used to open are off the list: Bhubaneswar's landside Bird Lounge (O'Vetra, airside near Gate 8, stays), Vadodara entirely, Visakhapatnam's Airr Lounge and Bar, and Dehradun's landside Bird Lounge (Carnations, in the security hold, stays). Visakhapatnam's replacement is two Encalm rooms at Bhogapuram, which this map does not carry yet — the airport is not in our coordinate file, so those doors are recorded here and not drawn. Ahmedabad's T2 international row is no longer The Lounge opposite Gate 3. It is Adani Silver Lounge - International, first floor, Gate 08, and the row has no asterisk, so the whole Annexure-1 board gets it at each card's own quarterly quota rather than the three unlimited cards alone. Noida's three Jewar rows are still on the PDF and still unmapped.

    Lounge major ICICI Bank
ICICI's lounge-gate exemption expires for Adani One and MakeMyTrip
Adani One ICICI Signature, Adani One ICICI Platinum and the MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank Credit Card were exempt from the ₹75,000-per-quarter spend gate on complimentary domestic lounge access — "valid till Jun 30, 2026" → All three now "require spends of ₹ 75,000 to be made in a calendar quarter to unlock airport lounge access in the next calendar quarter, with effect from Jul 01, 2026"

ICICI's MITC, headed "Last updated on Aug 2nd, 2026", carries the expiry date inside the exemption list itself and then restates it as a dated instruction below. No lounge visit is removed — MakeMyTrip keeps 2 domestic a quarter plus 1 international, Adani One Signature 4 a quarter plus 2 Priority Pass, Adani One Platinum 2 a quarter — but all of them now cost ₹3 lakh of routed annual spend on top of the fee, which reprices the ₹750 Adani One Platinum hardest. The ₹75,000 excludes rent, government, education, EMI, fees, interest, DCC and reversals, and the qualifying quarter is offset (26th to 25th), so the spend that unlocks Oct-Dec was made between 26 June and 25 September. Worth flagging for the desk: ICICI's own "Upcoming changes to Credit Card features and charges" page, re-read 28 August 2026, still lists MakeMyTrip among the exempt cards with no expiry, and never names the Adani One pair at all. Two live ICICI documents, two different answers; the MITC is the regulated one and the more recently dated, so it is the one we follow.
