Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied: it earns nothing on fuel here, so that spend is dropped, not paid at the headline, and stops pacing milestones and the waiver. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Pays for itself at ₹8,000 a month

At ₹8,000 a month — ₹96,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹900 gross (earn ₹900) against its ₹750 fee = ₹100 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.

The take

The cheap half of Adani's pair, and the arithmetic is cleaner than the Signature's. ₹750 a year, waived at ₹3 lakh, buys two domestic lounge visits every quarter — eight a year, at a fee most cards charge for one. Add ₹3,000 of first-year vouchers (₹2,000 flight, ₹1,000 hotel), two valet and two premium car-parking instances, four porter services and eight premium lounge upgrades, all at Adani-run terminals. On earn it is a flat 1 point per ₹100 at the official 1 point = ₹1, rising to 3 inside the Adani One ecosystem. Now the catch, which is the same catch as the Signature's and is the entire question: those points never leave Adani. No transfers, no cash-out, no airline, no hotel programme — they buy flights, hotels and airport services in one app, at terminals one company runs. If you fly through Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Lucknow, Mangaluru or Thiruvananthapuram often enough for that to be a wallet rather than a coupon, ₹750 for eight lounges is genuinely cheap. If you do not, you are earning a currency with one merchant. 3.5% forex settles it as a home card. Downgrade.

The downgrade

ICICI Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.

What has changed under this card

  • 10 Sep 2026 ICICI's September lounge list drops four doors and adds Bhogapuram issuer-wide
  • 29 Aug 2026 ICICI un-reserves Mumbai's Adani Silver lounge — the whole Annexure-1 board gets in issuer-wide
  • 1 Jul 2026 ICICI's lounge-gate exemption expires for Adani One and MakeMyTrip issuer-wide

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • 8 domestic lounge visits a year (2 a quarter) for a ₹750 fee, waived at ₹3L
  • ₹3,000 of first-year vouchers: ₹2,000 flight + ₹1,000 hotel
  • 3 Adani OneApp Rewards per ₹100 in the Adani ecosystem, 1 everywhere else (1 point = ₹1)
  • 4 porter services, 2 valet and 2 premium car-parking instances at Adani airports
  • 1% fuel surcharge waiver up to ₹4,000 at ANY fuel outlet, not just one brand

Watch out

  • Points are closed-loop — spendable only inside the Adani One app, no transfers, no cash
  • Domestic lounges need ₹75,000 of prior-quarter spend since 1 Jul 2026; the old exemption expired
  • No international lounge access at all — that is the Signature's benefit, not this card's
  • Utilities and insurance earn 0.5 per ₹100, half the domestic rate, and the product page never says so
  • Win the fee waiver and you LOSE the flight voucher — the T&C says so outright
  • 3.5% forex markup, and every voucher expires: 3 months to activate, 6 months to use

What these points actually fly

No live transfer route takes Adani Reward Points into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

What earns, what doesn't

9 sourced rules · 4 pay zero

The card's own T&C carries a closed nine-item list of non-qualifying spends and a four-row earn table. It is the only ICICI card whose T&C names gambling and commercial spends outright. Adani OneApp Rewards, not ICICI Reward Points, so none of the MITC's ICICI cap tables reach this card — the tiering below is the T&C's own.

Fuel excluded — "Fuel transactions carried out using the Credit Card" earn nothing. What survives is a 1% surcharge waiver on fuel spends up to ₹4,000 — and unusually, at ANY fuel outlet, not a single co-brand chain.
Rent & property management excluded — "Rent payments" are named in the T&C's own exclusion list, on top of the ICICI-wide zero on MCC 6513 and its 1% rent-pay fee
Government / tax reduced — 0.5 per ₹100 vs 1 per ₹100 on domestic retail — government spend has sat inside ICICI's utility bucket since 5 Feb 2024, and this card is not carved out of that rule
Utilities (electricity/water/gas) reduced — 0.5 per ₹100 vs 1 per ₹100 on domestic retail — half rate, printed in the T&C's earn table
Insurance reduced — 0.5 per ₹100 vs 1 per ₹100 on domestic retail, the same half-rate row as utilities
Education not applicable
Wallet loads excluded — Zero under the MITC's E-Wallet Reload exclusion (MCC 6540), which exempts only Amazon Pay ICICI; a 1% fee applies to loads of ₹5,000 or more w.e.f. 15 Jan 2026
Groceries & supermarkets not applicable
Dining & food delivery not applicable
Telecom reduced — 0.5 per ₹100 vs 1 per ₹100 — MCC 4814 is on ICICI's utility MCC list
Jewellery / gold not applicable
Forex / international spends full — 1.5 per ₹100 — half again the domestic rate, the T&C's own international row — against the 3.5% + GST ICICI standard markup, which this card carries no exception to
UPI (RuPay-on-UPI only) not applicable
EMI conversions / merchant EMI excluded — EMI, balance transfer and PLCC spend earns nothing under the T&C's exclusion list
  • Fuel · excluded "Fuel transactions carried out using the Credit Card" earn nothing. What survives is a 1% surcharge waiver on fuel spends up to ₹4,000 — and unusually, at ANY fuel outlet, not a single co-brand chain.
  • Rent & property management · excluded "Rent payments" are named in the T&C's own exclusion list, on top of the ICICI-wide zero on MCC 6513 and its 1% rent-pay fee

Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?

not published — and we say which

₹3,00,000 a year is the bar that waives the ₹750 fee. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.

Not published. ICICI Bank states what the Adani One ICICI Bank Platinum earns and does not earn, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver — the ₹3,00,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

Direct application — no invite list, no banking relationship required.

A straightforward public application — ICICI's page carries a live APPLY and asks for a salaried income of ₹20,000 a month or self-employed income of ₹2,40,000 a year, the same bar as its entry shelf. The decision worth making first is which variant: the Signature costs ₹5,000 for 16 domestic lounge visits, two international ones and 7 points per ₹100 in the ecosystem. At ₹750 this one is the better buy unless you actually live in Adani's terminals.

Add-on card ₹199 per supplementary card
Overlimit 2.5%, min ₹550
Redemption fee Moot — Adani OneApp Rewards are spent inside the Adani One app, not redeemed through ICICI's rewards catalogue

Fee ₹750 a year — ICICI's Key Fact Sheet gives this card 750 joining (1st year), Nil annual (1st year) and 750 annual (2nd year onwards), so it is one charge, not two. Reversed on ₹3,00,000 of previous-anniversary-year spend (EMI transactions excluded from that total). The lounge gate is DATED: this variant was exempt from ICICI's ₹75,000-a-quarter rule only "till Jun 30, 2026", and the MITC then names it among the variants requiring ₹75,000 in a calendar quarter "with effect from Jul 01, 2026". The card's own T&C carries a utilities-and-insurance earn row at 0.5 points per ₹100 that the product page omits, and makes the fee waiver and the ₹2,000 flight voucher mutually exclusive. BookMyShow offer gated on ₹25,000 of preceding-quarter spend w.e.f. 15-Jan-2026.

    Lounge minor ICICI Bank
ICICI's September lounge list drops four doors and adds Bhogapuram
The prior edition opened Bhubaneswar's landside Bird Lounge, Vadodara's Premium Lounge, Visakhapatnam's Airr Lounge and Bar, and Dehradun's landside Bird Lounge, and filed Ahmedabad T2 international as The Lounge opposite Gate 3 → Those four rooms are gone. Bhubaneswar keeps O'Vetra near Gate 8, Dehradun keeps Carnations in the security hold, Vadodara is off the list, and Visakhapatnam's rows are Encalm domestic and international at Bhogapuram. Ahmedabad T2 international is Adani Silver Lounge - International, Gate 08, and it is not asterisked

ICICI re-saved its consolidated domestic lounge list on 10 September 2026 and moved rooms, not quotas. Four doors an Annexure-1 card used to open are off the list: Bhubaneswar's landside Bird Lounge (O'Vetra, airside near Gate 8, stays), Vadodara entirely, Visakhapatnam's Airr Lounge and Bar, and Dehradun's landside Bird Lounge (Carnations, in the security hold, stays). Visakhapatnam's replacement is two Encalm rooms at Bhogapuram, which this map does not carry yet — the airport is not in our coordinate file, so those doors are recorded here and not drawn. Ahmedabad's T2 international row is no longer The Lounge opposite Gate 3. It is Adani Silver Lounge - International, first floor, Gate 08, and the row has no asterisk, so the whole Annexure-1 board gets it at each card's own quarterly quota rather than the three unlimited cards alone. Noida's three Jewar rows are still on the PDF and still unmapped.

    Lounge major ICICI Bank
ICICI's lounge-gate exemption expires for Adani One and MakeMyTrip
Adani One ICICI Signature, Adani One ICICI Platinum and the MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank Credit Card were exempt from the ₹75,000-per-quarter spend gate on complimentary domestic lounge access — "valid till Jun 30, 2026" → All three now "require spends of ₹ 75,000 to be made in a calendar quarter to unlock airport lounge access in the next calendar quarter, with effect from Jul 01, 2026"

ICICI's MITC, headed "Last updated on Aug 2nd, 2026", carries the expiry date inside the exemption list itself and then restates it as a dated instruction below. No lounge visit is removed — MakeMyTrip keeps 2 domestic a quarter plus 1 international, Adani One Signature 4 a quarter plus 2 Priority Pass, Adani One Platinum 2 a quarter — but all of them now cost ₹3 lakh of routed annual spend on top of the fee, which reprices the ₹750 Adani One Platinum hardest. The ₹75,000 excludes rent, government, education, EMI, fees, interest, DCC and reversals, and the qualifying quarter is offset (26th to 25th), so the spend that unlocks Oct-Dec was made between 26 June and 25 September. Worth flagging for the desk: ICICI's own "Upcoming changes to Credit Card features and charges" page, re-read 28 August 2026, still lists MakeMyTrip among the exempt cards with no expiry, and never names the Adani One pair at all. Two live ICICI documents, two different answers; the MITC is the regulated one and the more recently dated, so it is the one we follow.
