What it's worth to you, after the fee
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee — every net-value number here would be wrong by exactly the fee we can't find. Everything we can source — the earn rate, the transfer routes, the lounge doors — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until HDFC Bank publishes a fee schedule we can cite.
Why we decline to value some cards, and what it takes to change that →
2 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · the network variants
CashPoints on this card are ₹0.25, not the ₹1.00 house value — the product page states it outright, "(1 CashPoint = ₹0.25)", and credits them as cashback against the statement balance. Flight and hotel redemptions are capped at 50% of booking value and at ₹50,000 a month, and vouchers at 70% of value. Our reward rate already prices the ₹0.25 in.
The take
The business twin of HDFC's UPI RuPay card, and mechanically the same object: a virtual RuPay card that links to any UPI app, three reward buckets — 3 CashPoints per ₹100 on groceries, supermarkets, dining and PayZapp, 2 on utility bills, 1 on everything else — and a hard ceiling of 500 CashPoints a calendar month in each. At the ₹0.25 a CashPoint HDFC itself prints on the page, those buckets are worth 0.75%, 0.5% and 0.25%, and the whole card tops out around ₹375 a month. Rent, wallet loads, EMI, fuel, insurance and government categories earn nothing, which for a business card removes a good deal of what a business actually pays for. What we will not tell you is the price, because HDFC does not. The card's own fees page prints ₹250 in both its membership-fee rows and calls that a festive-season offer; the card's own product page prints ₹99 in both and calls THAT the offer; and the Key Fact Statement dated August 2026 puts the card in a ₹99 cell it shares with two siblings. Both pages are live, both are official, and a promotional price cannot be higher than the standing one, so at least one of them is wrong. Rather than pick, we print "not published" and leave the card unranked until an issued statement or a corrected document settles it. The waiver is not in dispute: spend ₹25,000 in the year before renewal and the renewal fee goes, whatever it is. On a card whose whole annual reward ceiling is about ₹4,500, the difference between ₹99 and ₹250 is not academic.

Keep, downgrade or cancel
what we can and cannot price
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee — every net-value number here would be wrong by exactly the fee we can't find. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade
HDFC Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- A virtual RuPay business card that links to any UPI app and earns on both UPI and ordinary card spend
- 0.75% on groceries, supermarkets, dining and PayZapp transactions (3 CashPoints per ₹100)
- 0.5% on utility bills and 0.25% on everything else
- Renewal membership fee waived on ₹25,000 of spend in the year before renewal
- CashPoints credit as cashback against the statement at ₹0.25 apiece
Watch out
- HDFC publishes two different membership fees for this card right now — ₹250 on its own fees page and ₹99 on its product page and in the August 2026 Key Fact Statement — and each page calls its own number the festive offer, so we print no fee at all
- HDFC's "3% / 2% / 1%" are POINT counts, not rupees — at ₹0.25 a point the real rates are 0.75%, 0.5% and 0.25%
- Each bucket caps at 500 CashPoints a calendar month, so the card is worth at most about ₹375 a month
- Rent, wallet loads, EMI, fuel, insurance and government categories earn nothing — a large slice of ordinary business spend
- Virtual only, applied for through MyCards; no physical card is issued
- Flight and hotel redemptions are capped at 50% of booking value and at ₹50,000 a month; vouchers at 70% of value
- Unredeemed CashPoints lapse two years after accumulation
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes HDFC Bank CashPoints into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

What earns, what doesn't
13 sourced rules · 7 pay zero
The Biz variant runs on the same HDFC UPI RuPay CashPoints proposition (T&C 27-Mar-2025): three buckets, 500 CashPoints a calendar month each, one shared exclusion list, nothing under ₹100. "3%" is three POINTS per ₹100 at ₹0.25 a point — 0.75% of money. The business framing does not buy a business exception: income tax, GST and other government payments are excluded here exactly as they are on the personal card, which is the opposite of what HDFC's BizGrow does with the same spend.
- Fuel · excluded Zero CashPoints — "Fuel Spends" heads the T&C's exclusion list, which applies to all three buckets
- Rent & property management · excluded Zero CashPoints — "Rent Payments" is on the exclusion list, so commercial rent earns nothing on this business card
- Wallet loads · excluded Zero CashPoints — "Wallet loads / Gift or Prepaid Card load/ Voucher purchase", named down to MCC 6540 as defined by RuPay
- Utilities (electricity/water/gas) · capped 2 CashPoints per ₹100 (0.5%) with its own separate 500-CashPoint calendar-month ceiling — about ₹25,000 of business bills a month
Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?
not published — and we say which
₹25,000 a year is the bar that waives a fee no issuer document states. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.
Not published. HDFC Bank states what the HDFC Bank UPI RuPay Biz earns and does not earn, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver — the ₹25,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

Applied for through HDFC's MyCards platform as a virtual card; nothing is delivered. It sits on HDFC's business-cards shelf alongside BizGrow, BizFirst and GIGA Business, and is the UPI-linked rung of that range rather than a standalone product with its own credit decision.
HDFC Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.

The fine print
7 of 7 MITC rows published
What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.
ADDED AS EVIDENCE ON A FEE THIS DESK STILL REFUSES TO PRINT, not as a settlement of it. The grid in this document — Version 4.7, updated 28-Aug-2026 — prices “HDFC Bank UPI RuPay / HDFC Bank UPI RuPay Biz / HDFC Bank UPI RuPay Mega Saver Credit Card (wef 4th Oct’23)” in a single ₹99 cell with a ₹25,000 waiver, one version newer than the 4.6 edition a previous read weighed. It still does not settle the card’s fee, and the reason has not changed: this is a GROUPED cell covering three products, while the card’s OWN fees-and-charges page reads ₹250 for both charges and calls that a festive offer. A fourth document siding with the majority cannot say which of two live official numbers is the promotional one. Everything else in this row is the shelf-wide fine print and stands on its own. Shelf-wide charges from the same document: cash processing ₹100 for any payment made over a branch counter or at an ATM, payment return 2% of the payment amount, 1% on online skill-based gaming above ₹10,000 in a calendar month and 1% on wallet loading above ₹10,000 (both from 1-Jul-2025, each capped ₹4,999 a month), and reward points on insurance capped at 2,000 a month.

- 1 Sept 2026SmartBuy moves Amazon Pay gift cards to 1X under Insta DealsAmazon Pay Gift Voucher sat in SmartBuy's accelerated tier — 'up to 5X Reward Points or 5% cashback' → 'Insta Deals: 1 % Instant Discount + 1X Reward Points' — this brand is out of the accelerated tier
The most-farmed HDFC voucher route stopped being a points play. SmartBuy's own voucher storefront now shows the Amazon Pay Gift Voucher under a new "Insta Deals" tile reading "1 % Instant Discount + 1X Reward Points", and the page's own description flipped from "up to 5X Reward Points or 5% cashback" to "up to 1X". The comparison that settles it sits on the same storefront: the Amazon Fresh voucher still carries an "Accelerated Rewards — Upto 5X Reward Points RPs / 5% Cashback" block that the Amazon Pay page no longer has, so this is one brand leaving the accelerated tier, not the tier closing. The date, honestly: the Insta Deals offer ("Flat 1% OFF", ₹10,000 monthly limit) was already live in the page's own data on 31 August 2026, the reward line still read 5X in the 1 September 16:26 UTC archive capture, and read 1X when this desk fetched the page on 2 September — so 1 September is the community's effective date sitting inside a window we can bracket from primary captures, not a figure HDFC published. The bank has announced nothing and no SmartBuy page carries a notice. Two pieces of context for the size of it: brand vouchers were already sub-capped at 3,000 accelerated points a month from 1 July 2026, and Amazon Pay vouchers disappeared from the portal entirely for stretches of July and August before returning in this shape. Flipkart and Amazon Fresh vouchers still pay the accelerated rate; the ₹10,000-a-month Amazon Pay lane now pays base earn plus the 1% instant discount.
