What it's worth to you, after the fee
Welcome: 1,000 bonus JPMiles on the first use of the card — and again on the first use in every year that follows
Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — and a business card's accelerator is usually the point. This card is not on the board, which ranks personal cards only; it is ranked against other business cards on /best/business, where the tax, GST and vendor-payment rungs ARE credited and its ₹ reads higher.

Pays from the first rupee
At ₹1,000 a month — ₹12,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹0 gross (earn ₹0) against its ₹0 fee = ₹0 net — at or above ₹0 from the first rung we price. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.
2 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · why it ranks #867
Why #867 A business card, carried and not ranked — and one of the very few airline co-brands India has ever issued to a firm rather than a person. Free for life, with the airline benefits of the consumer Gold rung bolted onto a supplier-discount network and a ₹10 lakh limit. Citi withdrew the whole Jet programme on 16 July 2012.
The take
India has issued almost no airline co-brands to businesses, which is what makes this one worth carrying: Citi put the Jet Airways programme on a CitiBusiness card and gave it away free for life. The airline half is the consumer Gold rung's, more or less intact — miles on ordinary spend and double on tickets bought at jetairways.com, a bonus on the first swipe of every year, a Première upgrade voucher at each published JPMiles threshold, two 30% family discount vouchers good on domestic and international sectors, and 10 kg of extra baggage on Jet. The business half is what a 2007 SME card looked like: credit limits up to ₹10 lakh spanning personal and commercial needs, a cash limit up to 60% of the line, a preferential supplier network covering couriers, car rental, stationery, hardware, accounting software, marketing consultancy, telecom and airline ticketing, a 24x7 concierge running everything from legal assistance to interpreter referrals, and a panel of consultants Citi called the Card Network. There was no lounge access and no insurance beyond the standard Citi add-ons — the proposition was cheap credit plus miles, not a travel bundle. Citi and JetPrivilege separated in 2012 and the whole programme was withdrawn on 16 July that year. The 2 JPMiles per ₹100 it paid is now priced at the InterMiles house value of ₹0.20 a mile — 0.40%. That is what it PAID: JPMiles became InterMiles, and InterMiles withdrew full redemption in October 2023.

The downgrade
Citibank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.
If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- Free for life — Citi published no joining fee and no renewal fee
- A Première cabin-upgrade voucher at each published JPMiles threshold, plus two 30% family discount vouchers a year
- An additional 10 kg baggage allowance on Jet Airways
- Credit limits up to ₹10 lakh for personal and commercial needs, with a cash limit up to 60% of the line
- A preferential supplier network across couriers, car rental, office supplies, hardware, accounting software and telecom
- Full waiver of the 2.5% fuel surcharge at IndianOil outlets
Watch out
- WITHDRAWN — Citi ended the Jet Airways co-brand on 16 July 2012 and moved holders to PremierMiles
- A business card: carried on this board but deliberately not ranked against consumer cards
- No lounge access at all — that started at the consumer Platinum rung
- The 0.40% is what it PAID: JPMiles became InterMiles, which withdrew full redemption on 27 October 2023
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes InterMiles into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

You cannot. The programme was withdrawn on 16 July 2012 and citibank.co.in no longer serves a page for it; Citibank's Indian consumer card book was subsequently sold to Axis Bank.
