Citi exits India
Citi is exiting Indian consumer banking, ending its PremierMiles and Rewards cards. The portfolio will pass to Axis, affecting one of India's most-loved rewards ecosystems with around 2.5 million cards.
Citi PremierMiles and Rewards cards are being phased out. Citi’s consumer business in India is up for sale and will eventually pass to Axis. Our take: don’t wait for the handover — burn or move your Citi points while redemptions still run, because acquiring banks honour legacy currencies on their own terms.
