What it's worth to you, after the fee
Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Breaks even only by erasing its fee at ₹13,000 a month
At ₹13,000 a month — ₹1,56,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹300 gross (earn ₹300) against a fee of ₹0 — the ₹399 is waived, the spend having cleared ₹1,50,000 a year = ₹300 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.
1 notes on the card itself: how it is issued
The take
POP's YES-issued card pays 10 POPCoins per ₹100 on e-commerce and online transactions and 2 per ₹100 on everything else, UPI included. The count is the easy half; the coin decides. POP prints coins as rupees in its own marketing — "1 POPcoin = ₹1" headlines its home page — but that is the unit it quotes earn in, not a rate you can clear, and the only conversion POP publishes with nothing attached is cash at ten coins to the rupee. So the headline rung is 1% and everything else is 0.2%: a decent free online card, and nothing like the 10% the marketing arithmetic implies. Coins do fetch a rupee inside POP's own store, where three POPminis cost ₹149 or ₹50 plus 99 coins, but POP caps coins at 10–30% of any product's price and every coin expires 365 days after it lands, so the rupee rate is reachable only against purchases from POP's catalogue. The rest is legible. Nothing to get the card; ₹399 to renew, and the fee disappears at ₹1.5 lakh of spend in the anniversary year — pay it and you get 400 POPCoins back, clear the milestone instead and you get 1,500 and no fee. The exclusions are the usual long Indian list: fuel, rent, wallet loads, government, marketing, ATM withdrawals, utilities, insurance premiums, POI funding and EMI conversions earn no coins, and education joined them on 1 June 2026 — the same day the fuel surcharge waiver was cut from a ₹400–₹5,000 band worth ₹300 a cycle to a ₹1,000–₹3,500 band worth ₹100. Forex is 3.50%. Treat it as a free online card whose reward currency you should price yourself before you lean on it.
Your renewal — keep, downgrade or cancel
This card reaches break-even by ERASING its fee, not by out-earning it: the waiver is the decision.
Keep, downgrade or cancel
₹399/yr at stake · 5 spend bands
The charge ₹0 joining, then ₹399/yr
The waiver ₹1,50,000 of spend in the year before renewal — about ₹12,500 a month — and the renewal fee is not charged.
Break-even ₹13,000 a month — ₹1,56,000 a year — is where this card's value crosses its fee, and it gets there by erasing the fee at the waiver rather than out-earning it.
At your spend
₹600 a year, net of the fee, at ₹3,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
₹1,200 a year, net of the fee, at ₹6,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
₹2,400 a year, net of the fee, at ₹12,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
₹7,200 a year, net of the fee, at ₹36,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
₹12,000 a year, net of the fee, at ₹60,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
Everyday earn plus milestones, minus the fee — the same model as the value panel above, so the two cannot disagree. run your exact spend →

The downgrade
YES Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.
What has changed under this card
- 15 Jun 2026 YES's ₹100 redemption fee reaches Marquee and Reserv issuer-wide
- 15 Jun 2026 YES Bank raises forex on almost every card it sells — SELECT takes 75 basis points in one step issuer-wide
- 1 Apr 2025 YES lounge gate triples to ₹1 lakh on Marquee and Reserv issuer-wide

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- 10 POPCoins per ₹100 on e-commerce and online transactions — 1% at the coin's ₹0.10 house value
- Nil joining fee; the ₹399 renewal waives at ₹1,50,000 of spend in the anniversary year
- 1,500 POPCoins on crossing ₹1.5 lakh in an anniversary year — 400 if you simply pay the fee instead
Watch out
- Ten POPCoins make a rupee in cash: the 10-per-₹100 online rung is 1% and everything else earns 0.2%
- Fuel, rent, wallet loads, government, marketing, ATM withdrawals, utilities, insurance and POI funding earn no coins; education joined the list on 1-Jun-2026
- The fuel surcharge waiver was cut on 1-Jun-2026 from ₹400–₹5,000 capped at ₹300 a cycle to ₹1,000–₹3,500 capped at ₹100
- POPCoins expire 365 days after they are credited, and inside POP's own store they can pay only 10–30% of a product's price
- Rent is limited to five transactions in every 30 days
- Forex is 3.50% since 15-Jun-2026, plus 1% dynamic currency conversion
- No lounge access — POP-CLUB is absent from the MITC's domestic lounge threshold table
- Any programme run inside the POP app is the partner's responsibility, not the bank's
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes POPcoins into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?
not published — and we say which
₹1,50,000 a year is the bar that waives the ₹399 fee. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.
Not published. YES Bank states what the YES Bank POP-CLUB earns, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver — the ₹1,50,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

The fine print
7 of 7 MITC rows published
What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.
A two-figure card, which is why the file carries a joining fee of its own: NIL to take it, ₹399 + GST to renew, waived at ₹1,50,000 of spend in the 12 months before the anniversary — the highest waiver bar the MITC sets on any card under ₹500. The forex markup rose from 3.40% to 3.50% on 15-Jun-2026 in the same bracket as the Prosperity cards. Utility spends attract 1% + GST past ₹25,000 in the previous calendar month, capped ₹5,000 a transaction. Absent from the domestic-lounge threshold table.

- 15 Jun 2026YES's ₹100 redemption fee reaches Marquee and ReservMarquee and Reserv exempt from the ₹100-per-redemption fee; card reissuance ₹100–₹200 by variant → ₹100 fee on every redemption request, premium cards included, plus a ₹99 booking fee on YES Rewardz flights; reissuance ₹199; fuel-surcharge waiver window revised
The exemption that let Marquee and Reserv holders pretend the ₹100 redemption fee was someone else's problem is gone. From 15 June 2026 every YES card pays ₹100 per redemption request, and booking a flight through YES Rewardz — the only place the points are worth their ₹0.25 — stacks a ₹99 booking fee on top. On a card whose whole pitch is settling 4.5% online earnings in portal travel, YES now charges you twice at the exit.
