YES Bank Reserv forex markup up 0.25% — 1.75% to 2%

The YES Bank Reserv's forex markup increases from 1.75% to 2% as of 15 June 2026, making it less competitive with other premium cards. This change applies to the Reserv, Reserv (NRI), Reserv (FD), and YES First Preferred family, with the 1% DCC markup remaining unchanged.

The YES Bank Reserv’s forex markup has increased from 1.75% to 2% as of 15 June 2026. This change applies to the Reserv, Reserv (NRI), Reserv (FD), and YES First Preferred family, with the 1% DCC markup remaining unchanged. The markup is now at 2.00% + GST. The increased forex markup will affect Reserv cardholders who frequently make international transactions. At 1.75%, the Reserv was a relatively cheap option for foreign transactions, considering its ₹2,499 annual fee. However, with the new 2% markup, it becomes less competitive with other premium cards like the Axis IndiGo Premium and Standard Chartered Ultimate. Our take: with this change, the Reserv’s value proposition has diminished, especially considering its points are worth ₹0.25 in YES’s own portal and ₹0.10 elsewhere. Given the deliberate re-spacing of YES Bank’s card ladder, it’s clear that the Reserv has been moved down a rung. Cardholders may want to re-evaluate their usage and consider alternative options, but for now, there are no clear alternatives within the YES Bank portfolio that offer better value.
