What it's worth to you, after the fee
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee — every net-value number here would be wrong by exactly the fee we can't find. Everything we can source — the earn rate, the transfer routes, the lounge doors — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until IndusInd Bank publishes a fee schedule we can cite.

1 notes on the card itself: how it is issued
The take
The government-sector edition of IndusInd's Platinum Aura Edge, and one of the odder entries in the bank's own MITC: it is named in the discontinued list and then given better terms than the live cards two pages later. Interest is 2.99% a month against 3.95% for the base Aura Edge — a full point cheaper, and the same tier Pioneer Heritage and Celesta sit in — cash advance charges are waived outright, and converting spends or balances into EMI runs at 1.1% a month with no processing fee. The earn is a flat 1% cashback with the ceiling stated plainly by the bank: only the first ₹10,000 of spend in a statement cycle qualifies, so the cashback tops out at ₹100 a month and ₹1,200 a year, and IndusInd prints the ₹15,000 and ₹20,000 rows at that same ₹100 to make the point. Around it sit a BookMyShow ticket worth up to ₹200 every six months and a 1% waiver on both fuel surcharge at any Indian pump and railway surcharge on IRCTC. What IndusInd does not publish is the fee, anywhere — no MITC row, nothing on the page — so we state none. The successor is the Samman RuPay card, which is open, priced at nil joining and ₹199 a year, doubles the cashback ceiling to ₹200 a cycle, and adds UPI linking this card never had.

Keep, downgrade or cancel
what we can and cannot price
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee — every net-value number here would be wrong by exactly the fee we can't find. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade
IndusInd Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.
What has changed under this card
- 15 Jun 2026 IndusInd doubles its DCC fee to 2% on the mass shelf, and holds 1% on the premium one issuer-wide
- 25 Mar 2025 IndusInd hikes redemption fee to ₹149, caps cash-outs at 50% issuer-wide
We price what is in force today — a change that has not happened yet is not in these numbers. the full archive for this card →
If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- Interest of 2.99% a month (36% a year) — a full point below the base Platinum Aura Edge's 3.95%, and the same tier as Pioneer Heritage and Celesta
- Cash advance charges waived entirely — the MITC names this variant in the waiver list
- 1% cashback on retail spends, credited to the card account the following statement cycle
- Convert spends or outstanding balances into EMI at 1.1% a month (13.2% a year) with nil processing fees
- One complimentary BookMyShow ticket worth up to ₹200 every six months
- 1% waiver on fuel surcharge at any petrol pump in India and on railway surcharge via IRCTC
Watch out
- INDUSIND PUBLISHES NO FEE FOR THIS VARIANT — no MITC row and nothing on the product page. Do not read the base Platinum Aura Edge's NIL/NIL line as this card's: the MITC treats them as two cards and gives them different interest rates
- The 1% cashback is capped at ₹100 a statement cycle — only the first ₹10,000 of spend earns, and IndusInd's own table prints the ₹15,000 and ₹20,000 rows at the same ₹100
- Closed to new applications — the MITC names "Platinum Aura Edge Credit Card (For Government Sector)" in its discontinued list, and the page directs government-sector applicants elsewhere
- The cashback is a statement credit — it reaches no airline, no hotel and no transfer partner
- No UPI linking: the successor Samman card is the RuPay product that does that
- NO airport lounge access of any kind
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes Statement cashback (₹) into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

Closed to new applications — existing cardholders keep the card; there is no way in.
Closed to new applications. The page is headed "Platinum Aura Edge Credit Card Exclusively for Government Sector Employees - (Discontinued)" and carries IndusInd's own notice that the product is displayed only as a reference for existing holders, with a link telling government-sector applicants to apply elsewhere; the MITC names the variant in its discontinued list. Existing holders keep the 2.99% interest rate and the waived cash-advance charge, both of which the same MITC still grants by name. The live replacement is the Samman RuPay Credit Card, which costs nothing to take out, charges ₹199 a year with a waiver at ₹75,000 of spend, doubles the cashback ceiling to ₹200 a cycle and adds UPI linking.
IndusInd Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.

- 1 Jul 2026Pioneer Legacy's quarterly lounge visit now costs ₹1.5 lakh of spend1 complimentary domestic lounge visit a quarter, no spend condition → From the Jul–Sep 2026 quarter, the visit unlocks only on ₹1,50,000 of previous-quarter spend
The spend-tracking regime IndusInd switched on in April now bites: from the July–September 2026 quarter, Pioneer Legacy's single complimentary domestic lounge visit is granted only if you put ₹1.5 lakh through the card the quarter before. Legacy sits in the same ₹1.5L tier as Pinnacle; Indulge, Solitaire and Crest need ₹5 lakh for theirs. The gate covers the domestic visit — the Priority Pass international allowance isn't part of this condition. On a private-banking card with a ₹50,000 retail joining fee, spend-gating one lounge visit a quarter is a remarkably small door to put a toll on, and IndusInd did it anyway.

A year after halving Legend's lounge visits, IndusInd came back and took the rest. From 7 March 2025 the card offers no complimentary lounge access, domestic or otherwise — on a product still marketed with a ₹5,000 joining fee. The lifetime-free Legend crowd shrugs; anyone who paid for this card on the strength of its airport perks got a two-step lesson in how IndusInd sunsets a benefit.
