What it's worth to you, after the fee

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee schedule AND an earn table — we have neither number, so there is nothing to net off against nothing. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until IndusInd Bank publishes terms we can cite.

Why #464 A business card carried, not ranked. What it is: the entry rung of IndusInd's Fortuna purchase line — two domestic lounge visits a year and ₹50 lakh of combined fraud cover, on a card whose cashback IndusInd caps rather than states.

The take

Fortuna Prima is the entry rung of IndusInd's purchase-card line, and it is a purchase card that happens to carry a travel benefit rather than a travel card: it exists to run vendor, utility and departmental spend through one statement with the company's name embossed on the face. What earns it a place here is a small but real lounge quota — two complimentary domestic visits a year, against IndusInd's own published list of applicable lounges. Around that sits the strongest insurance package on IndusInd's commercial shelf: ₹25 lakh of card-liability cover plus ₹25 lakh of corporate liability waiver insurance, the latter specifically against employee fraud, which is a risk a purchase card genuinely carries. Fuel surcharge is waived at 1% between ₹500 and ₹10,000, a wider band than IndusInd's own eSvarna gets. The two things you cannot look up are the two that matter most: the price is a negotiated band with the annual fee waived, and the cashback is published only as a ceiling — "upto 0.40%" — with the actual rate set in the company's sanction letter. Its Fortuna AdvantEdge sibling raises that ceiling to 1.10% on a tiered structure IndusInd does not publish either.

Keep, downgrade or cancel

what we can and cannot price

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee schedule AND an earn table — we have neither number, so there is nothing to net off against nothing. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade

IndusInd Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

What has changed under this card

  • 15 Jun 2026 IndusInd doubles its DCC fee to 2% on the mass shelf, and holds 1% on the premium one issuer-wide
  • 25 Mar 2025 IndusInd hikes redemption fee to ₹149, caps cash-outs at 50% issuer-wide

We price what is in force today — a change that has not happened yet is not in these numbers. the full archive for this card →

If you call to cancel

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • 2 complimentary domestic lounge visits a year, on IndusInd's own published lounge list
  • ₹25 lakh of card-liability cover plus ₹25 lakh of corporate liability waiver insurance against employee fraud
  • The annual fee is waived outright in IndusInd's own commercial-cards MITC
  • 1% fuel surcharge waived between ₹500 and ₹10,000 — a wider band than IndusInd's eSvarna corporate card
  • The company name embossed on a fourth line, up to 19 characters including the department

Watch out

  • The cashback is a ceiling, not a rate — IndusInd publishes "upto 0.40%" and sets the real figure in the company's sanction letter
  • IndusInd's commercial MITC prints the annual fee as "Waived" and the joining fee as a negotiated ₹0–₹10,000 band — so renewing the card may cost nothing while being issued it can cost up to ₹10,000, and only your company's sanction letter says which
  • 3.50% forex markup — the Indian norm, with a further 1% on dynamic currency conversion
  • Card use is restricted by transaction limit and merchant category, as a purchase card's is
  • Priority Pass visits cost up to US$27 per person per visit; the two free visits are IndusInd's own
  • Late payment runs up to 3% of the total outstanding a month — 36% a year

What these points actually fly

IndusInd Bank has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

Pioneer Legacy's quarterly lounge visit now costs ₹1.5 lakh of spend
1 complimentary domestic lounge visit a quarter, no spend condition → From the Jul–Sep 2026 quarter, the visit unlocks only on ₹1,50,000 of previous-quarter spend

The spend-tracking regime IndusInd switched on in April now bites: from the July–September 2026 quarter, Pioneer Legacy's single complimentary domestic lounge visit is granted only if you put ₹1.5 lakh through the card the quarter before. Legacy sits in the same ₹1.5L tier as Pinnacle; Indulge, Solitaire and Crest need ₹5 lakh for theirs. The gate covers the domestic visit — the Priority Pass international allowance isn't part of this condition. On a private-banking card with a ₹50,000 retail joining fee, spend-gating one lounge visit a quarter is a remarkably small door to put a toll on, and IndusInd did it anyway.

A year after halving Legend's lounge visits, IndusInd came back and took the rest. From 7 March 2025 the card offers no complimentary lounge access, domestic or otherwise — on a product still marketed with a ₹5,000 joining fee. The lifetime-free Legend crowd shrugs; anyone who paid for this card on the strength of its airport perks got a two-step lesson in how IndusInd sunsets a benefit.
