What it's worth to you, after the fee

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee — every net-value number here would be wrong by exactly the fee we can't find. Everything we can source — the earn rate, the transfer routes, the lounge doors — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until HDFC Bank publishes a fee schedule we can cite.

2 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · why it ranks #436

HDFC Bank · Not published · premium

Why #436 A business card carried, not ranked. The MoneyBack name on a corporate rail, and the rail is what makes it worth a page: fourteen lounge visits a year across two programmes, ₹1 crore of travel insurance and a published thirty-paise exit. The price is the one thing HDFC will not publish.

Not published
Annual fee — no issuer document states one
None
Fee waiver

The corporate rate HDFC publishes on the card's own page: "Redeem Reward Points against airline ticket and hotel bookings from reward redemption catalogue at 1 Reward Point = ₹0.30." That is exactly the FLOOR of our HDFC Reward Points band, which is the honest way to read this card — the corporate portal is the cheapest exit HDFC operates for the currency. Airmiles conversion is offered but unpriced, and HDFC warns that "Frequent flyer registration is needed before attempting Airmiles redemption in NetBanking". Points last two years and every redemption costs ₹99.

The take

Business Corporate MoneyBack is the thin end of HDFC's corporate range and it still opens more airport doors than most cards twice its notional tier. The rewards are modest: two Reward Points per ₹150, redeemed at the thirty paise HDFC prints on the page, which works out to 0.4% — half what Business Corporate Regalia pays on the same portal, and exactly the floor of the band this desk marks HDFC Reward Points in. What you actually buy is the frame around it. Eight lounge visits a calendar year come through HDFC's own Franchise Lounge programme and six more through Priority Pass, which is fourteen visits a year on a card sold to businesses rather than to travellers. Insurance is real and travel-shaped: ₹1 crore of air accidental death cover, ₹1 lakh of emergency medical expenses abroad, and up to ₹15,000 against flight delays, missed international connections and lost checked baggage. Employee fraud is covered at ₹2 lakh a card and ₹25 lakh across the company. Two things to hold against it. Forex is 3.5% — the corporate schedule puts this card in the most expensive of its three markup bands, alongside Corporate Platinum, while Business Corporate Regalia pays 2% on the same book, so a company with international spend is on the wrong card here. And the price is unpublished: HDFC's corporate MITC says the fee varies per cardmember, and the FAQ's "low annual fee" is the closest the bank comes to a number. Ask before you sign.

Keep, downgrade or cancel

what we can and cannot price

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee — every net-value number here would be wrong by exactly the fee we can't find. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade

HDFC Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

If you call to cancel

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • 8 lounge visits a calendar year through HDFC's Franchise Lounge programme, plus 6 through Priority Pass
  • 2 Reward Points per ₹150 — 0.4% at HDFC's published ₹0.30 corporate redemption rate
  • ₹1 crore air accidental death cover and ₹1 lakh of emergency medical expenses abroad
  • Up to ₹15,000 against flight delays, missed international connections and lost checked baggage
  • Employee-fraud cover at ₹2 lakh per card and ₹25 lakh corporate-wide
  • Up to 50 days of interest-free credit on purchases

Watch out

  • The fee is unpublished — the corporate MITC v1.54 says fees "may vary for each Cardmember, and from offer to offer", and the page names no figure
  • Forex is 3.5%, the most expensive of the corporate schedule's three markup bands — Business Corporate Regalia pays 2% on the same book
  • ₹0.30 a point is the FLOOR of our HDFC Reward Points band, not a mid-range exit
  • Not the ₹500 Business MoneyBack — that is a different card on HDFC's retail MITC, with no lounge access and a different earn table
  • Fuel earns nothing, and rent carries a 1% fee capped at ₹3,000 a transaction
  • Every redemption costs ₹99, and points lapse after two years
  • Priority Pass visits inside India are chargeable at $27 a head under the corporate schedule — the domestic quota is HDFC's own Franchise programme, not Priority Pass

What these points actually fly

HDFC Reward Points move to Avianca LifeMiles , Air France-KLM Flying Blue , Etihad Guest , United MileagePlus , Air India Maharaja Points , AirAsia Rewards , SpiceJet SpiceClub , Accor Live Limitless (ALL) , Marriott Bonvoy , Club ITC , IHG One Rewards , Radisson Rewards and Wyndham Rewards — and those price every award dynamically. There is no published chart to quote, so we quote nothing: an estimate is not a seat.

Axis EDGE brings Accor back, drops ITC, and adds Cathay, Miles & More and Hilton
Accor and Marriott off the grid since 2 April 2026; Club ITC live; no Cathay, Miles & More or Hilton → Accor live at the punished rates; ITC removed; Cathay, Hilton and Miles & More live; Marriott still gone

Axis's own Travel EDGE terms, re-read 25 September 2026, already show the grid that went live on 23 September. Accor ALL is back, and not at the old Atlas 1:2: EDGE Miles convert at 2:1 (Olympus 1:2) and EDGE Rewards at 5:1, with Magnus for Burgundy at 5:2 and only Burgundy Private still at 5:4. Club ITC is off the table. Three partners are new. Cathay Asia Miles sits on that same punished grid. Hilton Honors is the ordinary one: EDGE Miles 1:2, EDGE Rewards 5:2, Burgundy 5:4. Lufthansa Miles & More is the exception on Atlas, which converts 1:1 there while every other standard airline on that card is 1:2; the EDGE Rewards side of Miles & More is the ordinary 5:2. Marriott stays removed. Qatar Privilege Club was already back. Flying Blue, Air India and Qantas moved into Group A, which is the capped group. The Axis Rewards credit card's Amex network is advertised as joining-fee and annual-fee nil for a limited period; there is no separate Amex variant on this board, so that offer is not modelled as a fee change.
