BOBCARD's July revision notice has a quiet fourth clause, and it lands on 25 August 2026: the Air and Non-Air Accidental Death Cover comes off twenty product variants at once — not just new cards, but every card already in a wallet. Cards issued after 15 July 2026 never had it. Call it minor and mean it, because this desk does not price the perk and neither should you: air-accident death cover is the benefit every Indian issuer prints in bold and nobody ever claims, it pays only on death in a common carrier, and it costs the issuer almost nothing precisely because it almost never pays. Losing it changes no number on this site. What it signals is the direction: the same notice already moved the unlimited-domestic-lounge gate on Eterna, Eterna (FD), Tiara and Varunah Premium from ₹40,000 to ₹75,000 of preceding-quarter spend, and raised the finance charge on Eterna and Tiara from 3.25% to 3.75% a month. The insurance line is the third cut in one PDF, and it is the one that reaches cards nobody thought were being repriced. ON THE LOUNGE DATE, because BOBCARD published three answers and two of them are still live. The 12 June notice set the ₹75,000 gate for 15 July 2026. Four days later, on 16 June, BOBCARD issued an ADDENDUM — "This communication serves as an addendum to our earlier communication on Friday 12th June 2026" — that DEFERRED the lounge change alone: "₹40,000 in preceding calendar quarter" applicable till 30 September 2026, "₹75,000" from 1 October 2026, with the finance-charge and HPCL clauses left at 15 July. Then the operative Features and Rewards T&C dated 15 July 2026 — which POSTDATES the addendum — prints §5.1 Table1 as "Eterna / Unlimited / Rs. 75,000 in preceding calendar quarter", with no date qualifier and no ₹40,000 anywhere, and BOBCARD's product pages agree. The operative document governs, so ₹75,000 is what this desk carries on all four cards; the addendum is recorded here because a reader who reads the addendum and not the T&C will believe they have until October, ; the ₹75,000 gate is the one that applies.

The cheapest airline status in India just got a price tag. Until now a BOBCARD Etihad Guest Premium holder could buy anything at all on etihad.com inside six months — a seat selection, a bag, a ₹500 ancillary — and Etihad Guest Gold landed: lounge access on Etihad metal, priority boarding, extra baggage, a 50% mileage bonus. From 5 August the same upgrade needs a ₹10,000 transaction. For anyone who took this card to actually fly Etihad that is a formality, one economy leg to AUH clears it. For the reader who took it for the 2 miles per ₹100 and the 0% forex and never intended to book with Etihad, the status is now a ₹10,000 purchase decision rather than a free tick-box, and it has to happen inside the first six months or not at all. BOBCARD's notice changes nothing else — the milestone ladder, the lounge allowance and the fee waiver all stand.

This is recorded as ONE event and not two on purpose: a second row dated 1 October would put a "not yet in force" flag on /tracker against a gate the issuer's own governing T&C already enforces, which is the contradiction, not the fix. What it costs the reader is concrete. Unlimited domestic lounge access was the whole case for a lifetime-free Eterna, and the bar to keep it moved from ₹13,333 a month to ₹25,000 a month of spend. Miss a quarter and you pay at the door for the next one. Note also that the addendum's own reading survives in the wild: a reader who finds the addendum and not the T&C will believe they have until October, ; the ₹75,000 gate is the one that applies.

BOBCARD keeps extending the deadline on its best acquisition offer: Eterna — 3.75% statement-credit value on online spends and unlimited domestic lounges — stays lifetime-free for new applicants. The offer opened in early 2026 with a 31-March fuse and has been rolled forward twice; every extension is a louder hint that the ₹2,499 fee isn't coming back soon. Sign before the music stops.

BOBCARD's April-2026 notice gives with one hand and clips with the other. Telecom spends finally earn core points (3 RP/₹100 on Eterna), but big-ticket rail bookings, every toll and bus charge over ₹5,000, and tuition routed through third-party apps now carry a 1% fee — and the notice restates the long zero-earn MCC list, from supermarkets to hospitals. One, Uni and the Scapia co-brand are explicitly exempt.

As SBI walked away from Etihad and Axis prepared to drop the transfer route, BOBCARD picked up the whole franchise: two Mastercard co-brands earning Guest miles directly, with the Premium doing 2 miles/₹100, 6 on etihad.com, 0% forex and a milestone ladder to 40,000 miles a year.
