BOBCARD has revised its product features and charges, effective April 1, 2026. The change impacts most BOBCARD cardholders, who will now incur an additional fee on large transactions. However, telecom spends will start earning core points, providing some relief to cardholders who frequently use their cards for telecom expenses. Our take: BOBCARD cardholders should review their spending habits and consider alternative payment methods for big-ticket rail bookings, tolls, and bus charges to avoid the 1% fee. Meanwhile, the introduction of core points on telecom spends is a positive development, but its impact may be limited for most cardholders. The exemption of One, Uni, and Scapia co-brand cardholders from these changes is also noteworthy, and holders of these cards can continue to use their cards without incurring the additional fees.
