IDFC's business cards pay 3 points on big UPI only through IDFC's own app

IDFC FIRST Bank revises its UPI reward structure for Business Multiplier, Business Max, and Micro Enterprise cards, earning 3 points per ₹200 only on UPI above ₹2,000 made in the IDFC FIRST Bank Mobile App. The same payment from other apps earns 1 point per ₹200. This change took effect on 26 October 2026.

IDFC FIRST Bank has changed its UPI reward structure for three business cards: Business Multiplier, Business Max, and Micro Enterprise. Before, these cards earned 3 reward points per ₹200 on UPI payments above ₹2,000 from any UPI app, and 1 point per ₹200 below ₹2,000. Now, the 3 points per ₹200 on UPI above ₹2,000 are only earned when the payment is made through the IDFC FIRST Bank Mobile App. UPI payments up to ₹2,000 and those made through other apps like PhonePe, Google Pay, or Paytm earn 1 point per ₹200. This change took effect on 26 October 2026. The card swipes, app-travel bonuses, and zero forex markup remain unchanged.

Our take: pay every UPI ticket above ₹2,000 on these three cards from the IDFC FIRST Bank Mobile App. The same payment through PhonePe, Google Pay or Paytm now earns 1 point per ₹200 instead of 3.
