a year at ₹40,000 a month, after the fee
Skip the arithmetic — the board, ranked → · nothing to sign up for
What it's worth to you, after the fee
Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — and a business card's accelerator is usually the point. This card is not on the board, which ranks personal cards only; it is ranked against other business cards on /best/business, where the tax, GST and vendor-payment rungs ARE credited and its ₹ reads higher.

Pays for itself at ₹7,000 a month
At ₹7,000 a month — ₹84,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹1,100 gross (earn ₹1,100) against its ₹1,000 fee = ₹100 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.
2 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · why it ranks #468
Why #468 A business card carried, not ranked. What it is: a zero-forex metal business card. Since the 7 Sep 2026 commercial MITC the other IDFC business cards are zero-forex too. It is a metal, FD-backed card for a GST-registered business, with a lounge visit at home and one abroad every quarter and a real app-travel bonus.
IDFC prints the rate on the product page itself — "1 Reward Point = ₹0.25" — which is the house value for IDFC FIRST Reward Points, so nothing here is marked up or discounted. The currency is closed-loop: IDFC runs no airline or hotel transfer partners at all, at any ratio, so the points redeem against a catalogue and nothing else. The app-travel bonus is where the real value sits.
The take
Business Multiplier is the card this whole shelf was missing. Every other business and corporate card found in this sweep charges the Indian norm abroad or a little under it; this one charges nothing at all, and IDFC is blunt about what that is worth — "Save 4%–5% on every international payment", against an industry that "typically charges 4%–5% Forex Markup". For a business paying overseas vendors or running SaaS subscriptions in dollars, that is the whole argument, and it is a strong one. Around it sits a genuine travel card: one complimentary lounge visit a quarter at an Indian airport and one more at a select global terminal, shared with add-on cardholders, plus a bonus on flights and hotels booked in IDFC's own app — 30% on hotels and 17.5% on flights, paid as extra Reward Points on every ₹150. Base earn is 10 points per ₹200 at a published ₹0.25, which is 1.25%, and interest is 12% a year rather than the 36–47% the rest of this shelf charges, because the card is secured against a fixed deposit. The catches are specific. The headline rung HALVES above ₹1 lakh of spend a month, so the more business you put through it the less it pays. The UPI rungs (3 and 1 point per ₹200) are earned on a companion FIRST Digital card, not this one. Lounge access is gated on the previous calendar month's spend, and IDFC does not publish the threshold. And the points reach no airline or hotel programme at any ratio — they are a catalogue currency, so the app-travel bonus is the only place the earn becomes travel.

The downgrade
IDFC FIRST Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- Zero forex markup — the Sep 2026 commercial MITC now prints Nil for every IDFC business card, not only this one
- 1 complimentary lounge visit a quarter at Indian airports, plus 1 a quarter at select global terminals
- 30% bonus Reward Points on hotel bookings and 17.5% on flights, per ₹150 spent through the bank app
- 10 Reward Points per ₹200 at a published ₹0.25 a point — 1.25% on the first ₹1 lakh of spend each month
- 12% annual interest rate, against the 36% to 47.88% the rest of India's commercial shelf charges
- ₹1,000 + GST a year, waived on ₹5 lakh of annual spend, and up to five add-on cards at ₹250 each
- 45 days interest-free, and a complimentary UPI-ready FIRST Digital companion card
Watch out
- The headline rung HALVES above ₹1 lakh of spend a month — 10 Reward Points per ₹200 becomes 5
- The 3-and-1-point UPI rungs are earned on the companion FIRST Digital card, not on this one
- Lounge access is gated on the previous calendar month's spend, and IDFC publishes no threshold
- The lounge quota is SHARED between the primary cardholder and every add-on card
- IDFC Reward Points are closed-loop — no airline or hotel transfer partner exists, at any ratio
- It is secured: you must create or link a fixed deposit of at least ₹50,000 to hold it
- Fees, charges, GST and EMI amortisation do not count toward the lounge spend requirement
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes IDFC FIRST Reward Points into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?
not published — and we say which
₹5,00,000 a year is the bar that waives the ₹1,000 fee. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.
Not published. IDFC FIRST Bank states what the IDFC FIRST Business Multiplier earns, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver — the ₹5,00,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

the route in — no cutoffs published
The cutoffs and the actual route in — not the "apply now" button, the door that opens.
Direct application — no invite list, no banking relationship required.
IDFC publishes the whole route, which most business cards do not: "Businesses with registered GST" and "Create or link a minimum fixed deposit of ₹50,000", then four steps — "Enter PAN, Aadhaar & GST number", "FD is created online", "Video KYC", "Virtual card issued instantly". Being FD-backed is what makes it reachable: there is no income or turnover test, only the deposit, which is the same route our all-cards scope's 2026-08-15 amendment admitted for `idfc-first-wow`.
IDFC FIRST Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.

- 9 Sept 2026IDFC FIRST Bank zeroes forex markup on every credit cardA per-card markup table — Nil on a few premium cards, 1% to 3.5% on the rest → NIL on foreign-currency transactions and on dynamic and static currency conversion, bank-wide
IDFC's retail credit-card MITC, re-saved 9 September 2026, replaces the old per-card forex table with one NIL row covering foreign-currency transactions and dynamic and static currency conversion. The commercial and corporate MITCs, re-saved 7 September, print Nil or 0% for the business and corporate cards. Ashva's brochure, re-issued 10 September, says the same and also cuts that card's international earn from 5 reward points per ₹150 to 2X. A widely reported 26 October cut to international reward earning is not in any of those documents, so it is not on the cards. Cards that were already Nil — Mayura, Gaj, WOW, WOW Black, FIRST Private, Diamond Reserve — did not move.
