What it's worth to you, after the fee
Welcome: Oberoi e-gift vouchers worth ₹9,000; the bank's own rewards panel also promises 2,00,000 YES Rewardz to start on the priced card
Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Pays for itself at ₹34,000 a month
At ₹34,000 a month — ₹4,08,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹10,200 gross (earn ₹10,200) against its ₹10,000 fee = ₹200 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.

The take
Every super-premium card in India sells you a lounge. YES Private sells you the border. A 0.50% foreign-currency markup is the lowest number in the market — Marquee's 1% is second and most of the board sits at 3.5% — and the card pays 40 points per ₹200 on international spend on top, so foreign swipes return 5% against a markup a seventh of the norm. Domestic spend earns 2.5%, lounges are unlimited at home and abroad with no spend threshold at all, twelve guest visits a year come with them, and the redemption fee, the late fee, the cash-advance fee and the re-issuance fee are all waived. Then you meet the currency. YES Rewardz are worth ₹0.25 only inside YES's own flight and hotel portal, capped at 70% of the invoice and 6,00,000 points; statement credit pays ₹0.10, and the lone airline exit — Maharaja Club at 15:1, about ₹0.07 a point — is a decoy, not a door. So this is not a miles card and never will be. It is a 5% international-spend engine that settles in discounted travel, and if you spend abroad in serious money it is the best one India sells.
Your renewal — keep, downgrade or cancel
Here is the fee, the spend that clears it, and everything that has moved under this card since you last decided.
Keep, downgrade or cancel
₹10,000/yr at stake · 5 spend bands
The charge ₹50,000 joining, then ₹10,000/yr
The waiver ₹25,00,000 of spend in the year before renewal — about ₹2,08,333 a month — and the renewal fee is not charged.
Break-even ₹34,000 a month — ₹4,08,000 a year — is where this card's value crosses its fee.

The downgrade
YES Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.
What has changed under this card
- 23 Sep 2026 Axis EDGE brings Accor back, drops ITC, and adds Cathay, Miles & More and Hilton a program these points reach
- 25 Aug 2026 Vietnam Airlines Lotusmiles opens a broad SkyTeam status match — up to Elite Plus a program these points reach

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- 0.50% forex markup — the lowest on any Indian credit card we track
- 40 RP/₹200 international ≈ 5.0%, 20 RP/₹200 domestic ≈ 2.5% at ₹0.25
- Unlimited domestic AND international lounges, primary + add-on, with NO spend gate
- 12 complimentary guest lounge visits a year; redemption, late, cash-advance and re-issuance fees all waived
Watch out
- ₹50,000 to join and it is NOT waivable — the ₹25L spend waiver only buys off the ₹10,000 renewal
- ₹0.25/point only on portal flights/hotels, capped at 70% of invoice and 6,00,000 points; statement credit pays ₹0.10
- The lone airline route (Maharaja Club, 15:1 ≈ ₹0.07/pt) loses you money — treat the points as portal credit, not miles
- Fuel, rent, wallet, government and marketing earn zero; 15-Jun-2026 zeroed insurance, education, railways, toll and ferry too
- ₹99 + GST convenience fee on every flight booked with points (the ₹100 redemption fee is waived here, that one is not)
- Invite-only — the page carries an Enquire Now, not an Apply
What these points actually fly
YES Rewardz (YES CC Rewardz) move to Air India Maharaja Points — and that programme prices every award dynamically. There is no published chart to quote, so we quote nothing: an estimate is not a seat.

What earns, what doesn't
1 sourced rule
One row, because one row is what YES publishes for this card. The Private and Private Prime product pages are marketing prose with no exclusion glossary — unlike Select, Elite+, Essence, Preferred, BYOC and Wellness Plus, all of which print theirs — so every other category answers "not published" here rather than borrowing a sibling's list. The MITC's own table is the exception, and what it says is worth the row.
Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?
not published — and we say which
₹25,00,000 a year is the bar that waives the ₹10,000 fee. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.
Not published. YES Bank states what the YES Private earns and does not earn, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver — the ₹25,00,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

income, age and the route in
The cutoffs and the actual route in — not the "apply now" button, the door that opens.
Invite-only — there is no public application form. The bank calls you.
There is no public form. The product page ends in "Enquire Now" and the card is issued through YES Private, the bank's ultra-HNI relationship arm — the same shape as Burgundy Private and Emeralde Private, both of which this site already ranks. Practically that means the door is a relationship manager, not an application: YES Private banking clients are offered it, and the ₹50,000 joining fee is the published price of entry rather than a negotiating position. Servicing runs through a dedicated line (1800 121 4444) and a dedicated mailbox, which is a fair signal of how the bank expects you to have arrived.

- 23 Sept 2026Axis EDGE brings Accor back, drops ITC, and adds Cathay, Miles & More and HiltonAccor and Marriott off the grid since 2 April 2026; Club ITC live; no Cathay, Miles & More or Hilton → Accor live at the punished rates; ITC removed; Cathay, Hilton and Miles & More live; Marriott still gone
Axis's own Travel EDGE terms, re-read 25 September 2026, already show the grid that went live on 23 September. Accor ALL is back, and not at the old Atlas 1:2: EDGE Miles convert at 2:1 (Olympus 1:2) and EDGE Rewards at 5:1, with Magnus for Burgundy at 5:2 and only Burgundy Private still at 5:4. Club ITC is off the table. Three partners are new. Cathay Asia Miles sits on that same punished grid. Hilton Honors is the ordinary one: EDGE Miles 1:2, EDGE Rewards 5:2, Burgundy 5:4. Lufthansa Miles & More is the exception on Atlas, which converts 1:1 there while every other standard airline on that card is 1:2; the EDGE Rewards side of Miles & More is the ordinary 5:2. Marriott stays removed. Qatar Privilege Club was already back. Flying Blue, Air India and Qantas moved into Group A, which is the capped group. The Axis Rewards credit card's Amex network is advertised as joining-fee and annual-fee nil for a limited period; there is no separate Amex variant on this board, so that offer is not modelled as a fee change.
