Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — and a business card's accelerator is usually the point. This card is not on the board, which ranks personal cards only; it is ranked against other business cards on /best/business, where the tax, GST and vendor-payment rungs ARE credited and its ₹ reads higher.

Pays for itself at ₹34,000 a month

At ₹34,000 a month — ₹4,08,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹1,000 gross (earn ₹1,000) against its ₹1,000 fee = ₹0 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.

Why #530 A business card carried, not ranked. What it is: PNB's expense card for companies, priced by who owes the bank — ₹1,000 a year if the employee does, ₹2,000 if the company does. A quarter of a per cent, no lounge, no add-ons, and every card issued to every employee counts as a primary card with its own fee.

The take

PNB's corporate card is the whole "For Corporates" half of its product policy, and the thing to understand before anything else is how it is priced. PNB charges by LIABILITY, not by tier: ₹1,000 a year when the individual employee is on the hook for the bill, ₹2,000 a year when the company is. The Key Fact Statement prints the same two figures under a joining row and an annual row, which on this desk's reading is one charge written twice — year one is the joining charge. The multiplier nobody warns you about is that there are no add-on cards. PNB's Business Policy is explicit: "Add-on cards are not issued in case of Corporate Credit Cards", and "cards issued to different individuals at the behest of corporate are treated as primary cards". So a company putting fifteen managers on plastic is buying fifteen primary cards at ₹1,000 or ₹2,000 each, not one card with fourteen free extras — which is exactly the opposite of how Canara and BOBCARD price the same product. What you get for it is thin and PNB does not pretend otherwise. One Reward Point per ₹100 on the individual-liability edition, which at the 25 paise PNB's MITC assigns a point is a quarter of a per cent, redeemable into the PNB Rewardz catalogue or as statement cashback and nowhere else — this currency has no airline, no hotel and no program hop at all. No lounge access is claimed anywhere: not on a product page (there isn't one), not in the Key Fact Statement, not in the retail MITC. Foreign spend pays PNB's standard 3.50% markup; the nil-markup benefit belongs to the LUXURA metal cards. And the virtual-card option PNB built for online-only spenders is retail-variants-only — the policy says so in as many words.

The downgrade

Punjab National Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.

If you call to cancel

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • ₹1,000 a year with individual liability, ₹2,000 with corporate liability — PNB prices this card by who owes the bank, not by tier
  • 1 Reward Point per ₹100 on the individual-liability edition (0.25% at the 25 paise a point PNB's MITC assigns)
  • Issued on VISA Classic, Gold or Platinum plastic against the company's own credit assessment
  • Open to a wide definition of company: public and private limited companies, PSUs, registered societies, institutions, trusts, associations, partnership concerns, Defence CSD canteens and government offices
  • Every employee card is a PRIMARY card in its own right, with its own limit and its own statement

Watch out

  • There are no add-on cards. PNB's Business Policy: "Add-on cards are not issued in case of Corporate Credit Cards" — every employee card is a primary card carrying the full annual fee, so the cost scales one-for-one with headcount
  • The corporate-liability edition costs ₹2,000 a year, double the modelled figure, and PNB publishes no separate earn rate for it
  • No lounge access is claimed in any PNB document — the card has no product page on either PNB host, only fee rows and a rewards BIN, and a benefit nobody publishes is a benefit nobody owes you
  • 3.50% forex markup — PNB's nil-markup benefit belongs to the LUXURA metal cards alone
  • No virtual-card option: PNB's policy restricts it to "retail Credit Card variants only and not for Corporate Credit Cards"
  • pnb-reward-points has zero ways out; the Rewardz catalogue or statement cashback is the only exit, and redemption needs 1,000 points
  • PNB contradicts itself on the point value: the Rewardz page says 50 paise, the retail MITC says 25 and converts a negative balance at 25. This desk prices the MITC
  • PNB's two documents disagree on the plastic: the Key Fact Statement says "VISA Classic/Gold/Platinum", the Business Policy says "PNB Corporate VISA Gold/Platinum" with no Classic

What these points actually fly

No live transfer route takes PNB Reward Points into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

Through the company's PNB branch, against the company's own credit assessment — there is no online funnel and no product page. The liability model is the decision that sets the price: individual liability puts the employee on the hook and costs ₹1,000 a year per card, corporate liability puts the company on it and costs ₹2,000. PNB's policy notes that the business entity's liability "shall form part of its assessed credits", so a corporate- liability card consumes the company's exposure limits at the bank.

Punjab National Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.
