Welcome: 300 Reward Points on a first retail or online transaction within 90 days of receiving the card

Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Breaks even only by erasing its fee at ₹9,000 a month

At ₹9,000 a month — ₹1,08,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹300 gross (earn ₹300) against a fee of ₹0 — the ₹510 is waived, the spend having cleared ₹1,00,000 a year = ₹300 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.

The take

BLISS is the PNB card the KFS footnotes complicated and two more specific documents settle. PNB's own dedicated page for this card prints a flat "Nil" joining fee, and the bank's live MITC — the regulatory one, dated 18 May 2026 — prints the same thing in its own fee table: joining NIL, annual ₹510, no asterisk. The bank-wide Key Fact Statement's footnoted ₹510 joining line is the outlier, and it is the older document. So there is nothing to hand over at the door. The ₹510 annual fee is waived above ₹1 lakh of the preceding year's spend, on an eligibility bar of just ₹3,60,000 gross annual income. What makes this worth onboarding over PNB's other nine-bullet entry cards is that the lounge line is actually QUANTIFIED — 4 domestic visits a year (one a quarter) plus 1 international visit a year, run through the same NPCI RuPay lounge programme (rupay.co.in/lounges) the salary-shelf cards cite by name. Layer on quarterly Nykaa and BookMyShow vouchers, three months of Swiggy One, a year of Gaana Plus, an annual health check-up and 20% off Netmeds, and this reads as a genuine lifestyle-plus-lounge card for near-zero cost. The rewards engine itself is thin — 1 point per ₹100 on retail categories at a flat ₹0.25, or 0.25% — so hold it for the quota and the vouchers, not the points.

Your renewal — keep, downgrade or cancel

This card reaches break-even by ERASING its fee, not by out-earning it: the waiver is the decision.

₹1,00,000 annual spend erases that fee
₹9,000/mo is where the waiver, not the earn, saves it

Keep, downgrade or cancel

₹510/yr at stake · 5 spend bands

The charge ₹0 joining, then ₹510/yr

The waiver ₹1,00,000 of spend in the year before renewal — about ₹8,333 a month — and the renewal fee is not charged.

Break-even ₹9,000 a month — ₹1,08,000 a year — is where this card's value crosses its fee, and it gets there by erasing the fee at the waiver rather than out-earning it.

At your spend

₹800 a year, net of the fee, at ₹3,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

₹1,500 a year, net of the fee, at ₹6,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

₹3,000 a year, net of the fee, at ₹12,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

₹9,000 a year, net of the fee, at ₹36,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

₹15,000 a year, net of the fee, at ₹60,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

Everyday earn plus milestones, minus the fee — the same model as the value panel above, so the two cannot disagree. run your exact spend →

The downgrade

Punjab National Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.

If you call to cancel

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • 4 domestic lounge visits a year (1/quarter) + 1 international visit a year — a rare QUANTIFIED lounge claim on PNB's entry shelf
  • Nothing to join — the live MITC and PNB's own product page both print a flat Nil joining fee — and the ₹510 annual fee waives above ₹1L of the preceding year's spend
  • Quarterly Nykaa ₹500, BookMyShow ₹250-off-2-tickets vouchers; 3 months Swiggy One; 12 months Gaana Plus; annual health check-up incl. Pap smear
  • Eligibility bar is just ₹3,60,000 gross annual income — among the lowest on PNB's shelf

Watch out

  • The 300-point first-transaction bonus is on PNB's Rewardz programme page under this card's BIN band, not on the card's own page — the recurring quarterly vouchers below are benefits, not a welcome bonus
  • PNB's older bank-wide Key Fact Statement carries a ₹510 joining line with promotional/existing-cardholder footnotes — outvoted here by two more specific and more current documents, the card's own page and the 18-May-2026 MITC fee table, which both print a flat Nil
  • Retail-category earn is a flat 0.25% (1 RP/₹100 at ₹0.25/pt) — this is a lounge-and-voucher card, not a rewards engine
  • No forex markup published on the card's own page; the bank-wide standard is 3.5% (this is not the nil-forex LUXURA)
  • Lounge network is inferred from the NPCI programme PNB's own Salary RuPay Platinum page names explicitly — BLISS's own page does not repeat the citation

What these points actually fly

No live transfer route takes PNB Reward Points into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

What earns, what doesn't

2 sourced rules · 1 pay zero

PNB publishes NO merchant-category exclusion list for any card on its shelf — not on the product pages, not in the Key Fact Statement, not in the MITC, which mentions merchant categories only to reserve the bank's right to BLOCK a card transacting on restricted MCCs. So this row states the two deviations PNB does document and nothing else; every other category answers "not published" rather than a guess.

EMI conversions / merchant EMI excluded — No points survive an EMI conversion — PNB's MITC states it bank-wide: "On availing the EMI facility, reward points if any that have been accrued on the original transaction shall be reversed." PNB charges 2% of the transaction (min ₹100 instant / ₹200 Easy Pay) to convert, and 12–18%/yr on the instalments

Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?

not published — and we say which

₹1,00,000 a year is the bar that waives the ₹510 fee. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.

Not published. Punjab National Bank states what the PNB BLISS earns and does not earn, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver — the ₹1,00,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

The fine print

7 of 7 MITC rows published

What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.

Forex markup 3.5% over and above the currency conversion rate — PNB's nil-markup carve-out names only the two LUXURA metal cards
APR 2.95%/mo (35.89%/yr); 1.5%/mo (19.56%/yr) on a card issued against a PNB fixed-deposit lien
Late fee Slabbed on the total amount due: Nil up to ₹1,000; ₹500 on ₹1,001–₹5,000; ₹600 on ₹5,001–₹10,000; ₹750 above ₹10,000
Cash advance 2% of the amount, min ₹100 at PNB ATMs / ₹150 at other ATMs / ₹250 overseas
Add-on card No add-on card is offered — PNB's own BLISS page prints "Add on card — Not Applicable"
Overlimit 2.5% of the overlimit amount, min ₹500 (min ₹250 on a card issued against a fixed deposit)
Redemption fee None published — but a redemption needs at least 1,000 points, and points expire 3 years from the date of accrual

A women-focused RuPay Platinum on a ₹3,60,000 income bar — the lowest on PNB's shelf — with the rarest thing on that shelf: a QUANTIFIED lounge claim. 4 domestic visits a year, one a quarter, plus 1 international visit a year. THE FEE CONTRADICTION TO KNOW: PNB's bank-wide Key Fact Statement lists a ₹510 joining fee for BLISS with two footnotes — a first-year promotional waiver, and "Joining fees is applicable for existing cardholder applying for this card variant, including staff" — while the MITC fee table and the card's own product page both print a flat Nil. An existing PNB cardholder should confirm before applying. The ₹510 annual fee is waived above ₹1 lakh of the preceding year's spend. Earn is 1 Reward Point per ₹100 on retail categories (0.25% at ₹0.25 a point). Fuel surcharge waiver 1% (min ₹12.50) on fills above ₹500 and below ₹4,000, capped ₹250 a billing cycle. The MITC values a point at 25 paise; pnbcard.in/rewards.html still says 50 paise.
