Kotak Mojo Platinum
Downgrade8 lounge visits you have to spend ₹3 lakh a year to keep — on a card nobody can buy.

What it's worth to you, after the fee
Welcome: The ₹1,000 joining fee reversed on ₹30,000 of retail spend within 90 days of issuance (credited 90–120 days later) — there is no points bonus
Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied: it earns nothing on fuel here, so that spend is dropped, not paid at the headline, and stops pacing milestones and the waiver. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Breaks even only by erasing its fee at ₹9,000 a month
At ₹9,000 a month — ₹1,08,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹300 gross (earn ₹300) against a fee of ₹0 — the ₹1,000 is waived, the spend having cleared ₹1,00,000 a year = ₹300 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.
2 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · the network variants
Kotak brands these "Mojo Points" but they are the ordinary Reward Points Program currency, and the Revised Cardholder Agreement prices them at "25 paise per point for all other redemption option" — the same catalogue rate as the house value. The cashback route is priced separately and far worse, which is Kotak's standard shape. No airline or hotel transfer partner exists, so ₹0.25 on the catalogue is the ceiling for this card.
The take
The Mojo Platinum was Kotak's online-shopping card, and its one honest number is 2.5 Mojo points per ₹100 on every online spend with no cap. At the 25-paise catalogue rate that is 0.625% back, against 0.25% on everything else — which tells you the whole story about where this card sits. The reason it is on a travel desk at all is eight domestic lounge visits a year, two a quarter, and since 1 June 2025 those two unlock only if you put ₹75,000 through the card in the PREVIOUS calendar quarter. Do that arithmetic properly: ₹3 lakh of annual spend on a 0.25% card, to keep a lounge quota. There is also a quarterly 2,500-point milestone at ₹75,000 of spend, but it dies after the first year from issuance, so it is a welcome offer wearing a milestone's clothes and it is not in the value model. Kotak has discontinued the card, points go nowhere, and forex is the full 3.50%. Existing holders with the fee waived at ₹1 lakh should keep it purely for the lounge quota if they can clear the quarterly gate; everyone else has nothing to decide.
Your renewal — keep, downgrade or cancel
This card reaches break-even by ERASING its fee, not by out-earning it: the waiver is the decision.
Keep, downgrade or cancel
₹1,000/yr at stake · 5 spend bands
The charge ₹1,000/yr
The waiver ₹1,00,000 of spend in the year before renewal — about ₹8,333 a month — and the renewal fee is not charged.
Break-even ₹9,000 a month — ₹1,08,000 a year — is where this card's value crosses its fee, and it gets there by erasing the fee at the waiver rather than out-earning it.
At your spend
₹700 a year, net of the fee, at ₹3,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
₹1,400 a year, net of the fee, at ₹6,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
₹2,800 a year, net of the fee, at ₹12,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
₹8,500 a year, net of the fee, at ₹36,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
₹14,100 a year, net of the fee, at ₹60,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
Everyday earn plus milestones, minus the fee — the same model as the value panel above, so the two cannot disagree. run your exact spend →

The downgrade
Kotak Mahindra Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.
What has changed under this card
- 8 Sep 2026 Flying Blue splits award tickets into Light / Standard / Flex — a 25% rise for the same product a program these points reach
- 1 Jun 2025 Kotak's June-2025 fee wave washes over the premium deck issuer-wide
- 12 Feb 2025 RBI lifts Kotak's ten-month card-issuance ban issuer-wide

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- Unlimited 2.5 Mojo points per ₹100 on online spends ≈ 0.625% at ₹0.25 a point
- 8 domestic lounge visits a year (2 a quarter), subject to the ₹75,000 quarterly spend gate
- The ₹1,000 joining fee is reversed on ₹30,000 of spend in the first 90 days
- ₹1,000 annual fee waives at ₹1,00,000 of annual spend
Watch out
- Discontinued — the product page's own heading reads "Mojo Platinum Credit Card (Discontinued)"; existing holders only
- 0.25% everyday earn: 1 Mojo point per ₹100 at 25 paise, and the points reach no airline or hotel programme
- The lounge quota is spend-gated since 1 Jun 2025 — ₹75,000 in a calendar quarter unlocks the next quarter's two visits
- The 2,500-point quarterly milestone at ₹75,000 is FIRST YEAR ONLY, so it is not modelled in this card's annual value
- 3.50% forex markup and no international earn accelerator — this is not a card to take abroad
- Fuel and cash withdrawals earn nothing; rent, wallet loads and skill-gaming earn nothing either
- Education and insurance stop at ₹70,000 a statement cycle each, utilities at ₹50,000, government at ₹40,000
- Add-on cards cost ₹299 — one of the few Kotak cards that does not waive them
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes Kotak Reward Points into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

What earns, what doesn't
4 sourced rules · 3 pay zero
2 Reward Points per ₹100 spent online and 1 per ₹100 on everything else. Mojo's revision table is the SHORTEST in the Kotak range — it names four categories and stops, where Zen and Royale name eight, so the four it omits are recorded nowhere below rather than assumed from a sibling card. NO `qualifying:` block: Mojo carries no milestone ladder at all, and the PVR milestone that appears further down its product page belongs to the League Platinum tile in the "Related Products" carousel, not to this card. Card closed to new applications. THE EDUCATION ROW BELOW IS NOT FROM THAT REVISION TABLE — it comes from Kotak's Revised Cardholder Agreement (KOTMITC/07/2026), whose accrual-restriction table names Mojo Platinum alongside Zen Signature, Royale and NRI Royale for a ₹70,000 education ceiling. Same issuer, second official document, already cited on this card's own file.
- Fuel · excluded Zero points w.e.f. 1 Jun 2025 — MCC 5172, 5541, 5542 and 5983, plus 1% on cumulative fuel spend past ₹35,000 a statement cycle
- Rent & property management · excluded Zero points w.e.f. 1 Jun 2025 — MCC 6513, plus 1% + GST on every rent transaction
- Wallet loads · excluded Zero points w.e.f. 1 Jun 2025 — MCC 6540, plus 1% on cumulative wallet loading past ₹10,000 a statement cycle
- Education · capped Mojo points earn only on the first ₹70,000 of education spend a statement cycle, then nothing. Kotak's accrual-restriction table in the Revised Cardholder Agreement (KOTMITC/07/2026) gives education its own ₹70,000 line, beside ₹70,000 for insurance, ₹50,000 for utilities and ₹40,000 for government. Inside it the category earns the card's ordinary rate of 1 Mojo point per ₹100

Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?
not published — and we say which
₹1,00,000 a year is the bar that waives the ₹1,000 fee. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.
Not published. Kotak Mahindra Bank states what the Kotak Mojo Platinum earns and does not earn, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver — the ₹1,00,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

There is no way in: Kotak has withdrawn the Mojo Platinum and the product page carries "(Discontinued)" in its own heading. The nearest live Kotak card with a lounge quota is the ₹1,500 Zen Signature, which adds three Priority Pass visits a year and earns at three times the Mojo's base rate — a straight upgrade for anyone still holding this.

The fine print
7 of 7 MITC rows published
What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.
RCAS fee table verbatim: "Mojo | ₹ 1,000 | ₹ 1,000 | Minimum spend of ₹30,000 in 90 days of issuance. | Minimum retail spend of ₹1 lac in a year | ₹ 299". Mojo is the only card in Kotak's range with a JOINING-fee waiver condition as well as an annual one — spend ₹30,000 within 90 days of issuance and the ₹1,000 joining charge comes back, then ₹1 lakh of retail spend a year keeps the renewal off. Joining and renewal are the same ₹1,000, so there is no separate commencement charge. Add-on cards ₹299. Special-category transaction fees: 1% on utility spends past ₹50,000 a statement cycle, 1% on fuel past ₹35,000, 1% on wallet loading and online skill-based gaming past ₹10,000 each, 1% + GST on every rent transaction, 1% on third-party-app education payments. Card closed to new applications.

- 30 Sept 2026Dream Different's unredeemed reward points expire after 30 September 2026Reward points accrued on the Dream Different Credit Card up to 31 March 2026 sitting in the account with no stated expiry date → A hard forfeiture date — "After 30th September, 2026, any unredeemed Reward Points will automatically expire"
The second half of the note that closed the programme is the part holders can still act on. Kotak's cardholder agreement gives every Dream Different point accrued up to 31 March 2026 a six-month redemption window that shuts on 30 September 2026, after which unredeemed points are forfeited outright. At the agreement's own conversion rate of 25 paise per point, a year of the card's headline 4-points-per-₹100 online earn on ₹1 lakh of online spend is roughly 4,000 points, about ₹1,000 — small money, but money that becomes zero on 1 October. Points redeem against the Kotak catalogue (flights, hotels, vouchers, merchandise) or as a statement credit through the rewards portal or the contact centre, each with its own minimum, so a last-week redemption risks missing the date on processing alone.
