What it's worth to you, after the fee
Welcome: ₹10,000 'Giftwrapped by Oberoi' e-voucher on ₹20,000 spend within 30 days of issuance and payment of the joining fee
Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Pays for itself at ₹21,000 a month
At ₹21,000 a month — ₹2,52,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹10,000 gross (earn ₹5,000 + milestones ₹5,000) against its ₹9,999 fee = ₹0 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.
2 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · why it ranks #33
Why #33 A 1% forex markup and unlimited international lounge access for ₹9,999 is a genuinely serious travel proposition, and it arrived from a bank nobody was watching. What holds it here rather than higher is the currency: Delight Points reach no airline and no hotel, and Bandhan's own Value Chart prices them at ₹0.25, so the 2% base earn is 2% of catalogue vouchers forever. You hold this for the door and the markup, not for the points.
The take
Bandhan launched four credit cards on its own portal and almost nobody noticed, which is how a **1% foreign-currency markup** — among the lowest anyone prints, though not the lowest — ended up sitting on a ₹9,999 card that also hands you unlimited international lounge access and eight domestic visits a *quarter*. Read that lounge line twice: thirty-two domestic visits a year is more than most super-premium cards give you, and the international side has no counter at all. Add 1.5% monthly interest for existing Bandhan customers (18% a year, against the 42% the rest of the shelf charges), no cash advance fee, and a late-payment fee of Nil at every slab in the MITC, and the fine print is unusually kind. Then look at what you earn. Sixteen points per ₹200 sounds generous until you price a point: Bandhan never says what one is worth, but its own Value Chart does the arithmetic — a 10,000-point monthly milestone listed at ₹30,000 a year — and it solves to **₹0.25**. That makes the base rate 2%, and 2% is where it stops, because Delight Points transfer to nothing. No airline, no hotel, no partner programme of any kind; the MITC lists the exits as travel booking, shopping and gift vouchers on the Delights portal, and the FAQ adds cashback against your bill. This is a spending card that opens travel doors, not a points card. Bought for the markup and the lounges it is one of the better ₹9,999 buys in India. Bought for the miles it does not exist.

The downgrade
Bandhan Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.
If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- 1% foreign-currency markup — inside the cheapest handful on this board, though YES Private's 0.50% and HSBC Premier's 0.99% sit below it
- Unlimited international lounge access at select airports, plus 8 domestic visits every quarter
- ₹10,000 Oberoi e-gift voucher as a joining benefit, on just ₹20,000 of spend in 30 days
- 10,000 bonus points every month you spend ₹1,00,000 — ₹30,000 a year by Bandhan's own reckoning
- 1.5% monthly interest for existing Bandhan customers, no cash advance fee, and Nil late-payment fee at every slab
Watch out
- Delight Points reach no airline and no hotel — ₹0.25 in the Delights catalogue is the ceiling, forever
- Bandhan publishes no lounge network and no lounge list; 'select airports' is all the MITC says
- The ₹9,999 renewal waives only at ₹12,00,000 of annual spend, and rent and wallet loads do not count toward it
- The 1.5% monthly interest rate is for existing Bandhan customers only — new-to-bank cardholders pay 3.5% a month, 42% a year
- The product page's own Value Chart is headed 'Bandhan Bank Nova Credit Card' and still prices 4 international lounge visits a quarter against the page's 'unlimited' — the chart is stale, the page is current
- Every unredeemed point is forfeited the moment the card closes (Cardholder's Agreement §13.13)
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes Bandhan Delight Points into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?
not published — and we say which
₹12,00,000 a year is the bar that waives the ₹9,999 fee. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.
Not published. Bandhan Bank states what the Bandhan Bank Lumina Credit Card earns, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver and the milestones — the ₹12,00,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

The cutoffs and the actual route in — not the "apply now" button, the door that opens.
Direct application — no invite list, no banking relationship required.
Every Apply Now button on Bandhan's credit-card portal carries the same line underneath it — "For existing Bandhan Bank customers only" — so the account comes before the card. Bandhan publishes no income floor, no age band and no eligibility table for any of its four cards, so we are not going to invent one; the application starts with a mobile number and a PAN. Note that the fee is charged on activation, and the Oberoi voucher is conditional on paying it.
Bandhan Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.

The fine print
7 of 7 MITC rows published
What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.
Bandhan publishes ONE MITC for its whole five-card shelf, dated 13 Jul 2026, and it is the only fee document the bank puts out. Add-on cards carry no joining and no annual fee on any variant. Reward redemption is free. EMI processing ₹99 and EMI foreclosure 3% of the remaining outstanding, min ₹100, on every variant. Bandhan publishes NO income floor, NO age band and NO eligibility table for any of its four cards — not on the product page, not in the MITC, not in the Cardholder''s Agreement — so those rows are honestly empty. Every Apply Now button reads "For existing Bandhan Bank customers only", which is the only entry criterion the bank states. Note also what the renewal-fee waiver does NOT count: "Rent payment transactions and wallet load transactions, along with any associated processing fees, will not be considered when availing of the renewal fee waiver." Lumina is ₹9,999 on one MITC row serving both the joining and the renewal charge, waived on ₹12,00,000 of annual spend. Rent (MCC 6513) carries a 1% fee plus GST capped at ₹500 a transaction. Fuel surcharge waiver 1%, max ₹500 a statement cycle, on transactions between ₹500 and ₹5,000. Returned payment and branch cash payment are both Nil. Lumina is the only Bandhan card carrying complimentary accidental air-death cover, at ₹1 crore through ICICI Lombard — and the nominee must be filed in the product-details section of the website before a claim can be made.
