What it's worth to you, after the fee
Welcome: 500 reward points on ₹5,000 spend within 30 days of card issuance
Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Breaks even only by erasing its fee at ₹5,000 a month
At ₹5,000 a month — ₹60,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹200 gross (earn ₹200) against a fee of ₹0 — the ₹499 is waived, the spend having cleared ₹50,000 a year = ₹200 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.
2 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · why it ranks #36
Why #36 Four domestic lounge visits a year for a ₹499 renewal that waives at ₹50,000 of spend is the whole card, and it is enough to put it on the board — but only just. The earn is 0.25% — bottom-third, not bottom — the forex markup is the full 3.5%, and the points stop at ₹0.25 in a catalogue that reaches no airline. It exists to complete Bandhan's ladder.
The take
Sparks is the bottom rung of Bandhan's ladder and it is honest about what it is: **one domestic lounge visit a calendar quarter**, nothing to take out, ₹499 to keep, and the ₹499 disappears at ₹50,000 of annual spend — roughly ₹4,200 a month. Bandhan's own Value Chart prices those four visits at ₹5,028, which is half the card's stated ₹10,000 total value, and that ratio tells you exactly what you are buying. What you are not buying is a rewards card. Two reward points per ₹200 is 1 point per ₹100, and a Delight Point is ₹0.25, so the base rate is **0.25%** — the bottom fifth of this board, shared with more than a hundred other cards, and comfortably beaten downward by the likes of RBL EasySaver at 0.06%. The grocery-and-apparel accelerator doubles it to 0.5%, still half of what a no-questions cashback card hands you, and apparel is not travel, so the accelerator does nothing for a traveller. The markup abroad is the full 3.5%. The points redeem in Bandhan's catalogue and transfer to no airline or hotel, like every Delight Point. Take it if you bank with Bandhan, want a free-in-practice card, and will use the four lounge visits. Put your actual spending somewhere else — almost anywhere else.
Your renewal — keep, downgrade or cancel
This card reaches break-even by ERASING its fee, not by out-earning it: the waiver is the decision.
Keep, downgrade or cancel
₹499/yr at stake · 5 spend bands
The charge ₹0 joining, then ₹499/yr
The waiver ₹50,000 of spend in the year before renewal — about ₹4,167 a month — and the renewal fee is not charged.
Break-even ₹5,000 a month — ₹60,000 a year — is where this card's value crosses its fee, and it gets there by erasing the fee at the waiver rather than out-earning it.
At your spend
₹800 a year, net of the fee, at ₹3,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
₹1,500 a year, net of the fee, at ₹6,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
₹3,000 a year, net of the fee, at ₹12,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
₹9,000 a year, net of the fee, at ₹36,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged
₹15,000 a year, net of the fee, at ₹60,00,000 of annual spend — this clears the waiver, so no fee is charged

The downgrade
Bandhan Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.
If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- 1 complimentary domestic lounge visit every calendar quarter at select airports
- Nil joining fee; the ₹499 renewal waives at ₹50,000 of annual spend
- 500-point welcome bonus on ₹5,000 of spend in the first 30 days
- 4 reward points per ₹200 on grocery and apparel, double the base rate
- 10% cashback up to ₹500 on your first EMI booking — but only on a minimum tenure of 12 months, and once per customer
Watch out
- 0.25% base earn — bottom-fifth on this board and beaten by a flat cashback card twice over; the accelerator only reaches 0.5%
- 3.5% foreign-currency markup and no international lounge access — this is a domestic card
- Delight Points reach no airline and no hotel — ₹0.25 in the Delights catalogue is the ceiling
- No milestone benefit at all, unlike every other card on Bandhan's shelf
- 3.5% monthly interest — 42% a year — for new and existing customers alike
- Every unredeemed point is forfeited the moment the card closes (Cardholder's Agreement §13.13)
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes Bandhan Delight Points into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?
not published — and we say which
₹50,000 a year is the bar that waives the ₹499 fee. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.
Not published. Bandhan Bank states what the Bandhan Bank Sparks Credit Card earns, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver — the ₹50,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

Direct application — no invite list, no banking relationship required.
Bandhan sells all four of its credit cards to its own base — every Apply Now button says "For existing Bandhan Bank customers only" — so the bank account comes first. No income floor, age band or eligibility table is published for any variant, and we will not invent one. The application begins with a mobile number and a PAN.
Bandhan Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.

The fine print
7 of 7 MITC rows published
What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.
Bandhan publishes ONE MITC for its whole five-card shelf, dated 13 Jul 2026, and it is the only fee document the bank puts out. Add-on cards carry no joining and no annual fee on any variant. Reward redemption is free. EMI processing ₹99 and EMI foreclosure 3% of the remaining outstanding, min ₹100, on every variant. Bandhan publishes NO income floor, NO age band and NO eligibility table for any of its four cards — not on the product page, not in the MITC, not in the Cardholder''s Agreement — so those rows are honestly empty. Every Apply Now button reads "For existing Bandhan Bank customers only", which is the only entry criterion the bank states. Note also what the renewal-fee waiver does NOT count: "Rent payment transactions and wallet load transactions, along with any associated processing fees, will not be considered when availing of the renewal fee waiver." Sparks is Nil to join and ₹499 to renew, waived on ₹50,000 of annual spend. Rent (MCC 6513) carries a 1% fee plus GST with NO cap — Flare's is capped at ₹250 a transaction and Lumina's at ₹500, but Sparks and Ignite pay the full percentage. Fuel surcharge waiver 1%, max ₹150 a statement cycle, on transactions between ₹500 and ₹2,500 — the narrowest band on the shelf. Card re-issuance ₹100; returned payment ₹350; cash payment at a branch ₹100.
