What it's worth to you, after the fee

Welcome: Not published as a joining bonus — the Platinum Corporate's rupee-denominated benefits are ongoing rather than one-time, and Amex advertises no sign-up award

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee — every net-value number here would be wrong by exactly the fee we can't find. Everything we can source — the earn rate, the transfer routes, the lounge doors — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until American Express publishes a fee schedule we can cite.

Amex

Why #498 The top of Amex India's corporate book, and by benefit density the most loaded business card in the country: the Global Lounge Collection, Marriott Bonvoy Gold, Fine Hotels + Resorts, Taj Epicure Plus, Hertz Gold and 1 Membership Rewards point per ₹40. Carried and not ranked — Amex will not print what it costs.

Annual fee — no issuer document states one
None
Fee waiver

Ordinary Membership Rewards points, housed at ₹0.50 on this desk. Amex's own redemption list on this page includes "Points transfer to leading airline and hotel loyalty programs" with "No enrollment fee | No points expiry | No redemption charges", so there is no corporate-only catalogue and no separate rate — the earn is priced straight off the count Amex posts.

Best real exit: Virgin Atlantic Flying Club at ₹0.80/pt (5:4 transfer, above house value).

The take

Set the missing price aside for a moment and look at what this card actually carries, because nothing else in the Indian business market is close. The lounge grant is the American Express Global Lounge Collection in full: the Centurion Lounge at Delhi T1, Escape Lounges, Lufthansa lounges, Delta Sky Club, over thirty domestic partner rooms across Indian cities, and a membership to the HIGHEST tier of Priority Pass — which Amex itself values at US$429 — for more than twelve hundred rooms worldwide. Add Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite with the twenty-five night requirement waived, Fine Hotels + Resorts across thirteen hundred properties at an average benefit Amex prices at ₹44,300 a two-night stay, Taj Epicure Plus, Hertz Gold Plus Rewards with 15% off worldwide rentals, and a dedicated Platinum Travel Services desk that books the trip for you. The earn is the best Amex India publishes anywhere: one Membership Rewards point per ₹40, which is 1.25% at this desk's ₹0.50 a point, against one per ₹50 on the Gold Corporate and on the personal Membership Rewards Card. Air India bookings made directly double it, with no promo code and no enrolment, until 31 January 2027. Utilities, telecom, wholesale and insurance drop to one per ₹100 — with the utility group additionally capped at a thousand points a month — and fuel earns nothing, which are the usual corporate carve-outs. On top sits a ₹10,000 gift voucher at ₹30,00,000 of annual spend and ₹15,000 of MakeMyTrip vouchers for a single day's ₹2,00,000 international booking through MMT Biz. And then the price. Amex prices every one of its six Indian personal cards in public, prices four separate benefits ON THIS PAGE in rupees and dollars, and prices the card itself nowhere. What your company pays is what your company negotiated, which is why this desk carries the card without valuing it.

Keep, downgrade or cancel

what we can and cannot price

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee — every net-value number here would be wrong by exactly the fee we can't find. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade

American Express publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

  • 30 Sep 2026 Amex India discontinues Reward Multiplier — the whole 5X/3X/2X ladder issuer-wide
  • 23 Sep 2026 Axis EDGE brings Accor back, drops ITC, and adds Cathay, Miles & More and Hilton a program these points reach
  • 28 Aug 2026 Amex India pauses new card applications across the entire portfolio issuer-wide

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • The American Express Global Lounge Collection: Centurion Lounge Delhi T1, Escape and Lufthansa lounges, Delta Sky Club and 30-plus domestic partner rooms
  • A membership to the highest tier of Priority Pass, which Amex values at US$429, reaching more than 1,200 rooms worldwide
  • 1 Membership Rewards point per ₹40 — the richest base accrual Amex publishes in India — doubling on Air India bookings until 31 January 2027
  • Complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite with the 25-night requirement waived, plus Fine Hotels + Resorts at an average ₹44,300 of benefit per two-night stay
  • Taj Epicure Plus, Hertz Gold Plus Rewards with 15% off worldwide rentals, and a ₹10,000 gift voucher at ₹30,00,000 of annual spend

Watch out

  • Amex publishes no fee for its corporate book at all — it prices four benefits on this very page and never the card, so the cost is a negotiation
  • Fuel earns nothing, and telecom, insurance, utilities and wholesale drop to one point per ₹100, with the utility group capped at 1,000 points a month
  • The 2X on Air India is a limited-time offer with a stated end date of 31 January 2027, not a permanent rung
  • Fine Hotels + Resorts and the International Airline Program are booked by telephone through Platinum Travel Services, not online
  • The ₹44,300 Fine Hotels figure is Amex's own 2021 average for a two-night stay, not a guarantee — its footnote says actual value varies by property and rate
  • Amex acceptance in India is materially narrower than Visa or Mastercard, which bites harder on an employee expense card

Does your spend count toward the milestones?

not published — and we say which

₹30,00,000 a year is the bar for the first milestone. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.

Not published. American Express states what the Amex Platinum Corporate Card earns, but has not published which spend categories count toward the milestones — the ₹30,00,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

  • 1 Oct 2026
not yet in force Lounge moderate American Express
Amex Platinum loses Lufthansa Lounge access with no replacement
Complimentary access to participating Lufthansa Lounges for eligible Platinum Card Members, through 30 Sep 2026 → From 1 Oct 2026 Platinum Card Members have no access to any Lufthansa Lounge; no substitute benefit announced

Announced in July 2026, effective 1 October: eligible Platinum Card Members lose access to every Lufthansa Lounge, and Amex has named nothing to put in its place. Access runs through 30 September, so there's a two-month window to use it. For Indian Platinum holders the Lufthansa rooms were the good half of a Frankfurt or Munich connection — Priority Pass and the Global Lounge Collection still cover the airports, but not with a Senator-grade product. It's the third clip to the same card's lounge stack in one quarter, after Mumbai's Centurion closed on 1 July and Centurion guest access halved on 8 July. Amex India's ₹66,000 metal card is being asked to justify itself on Fine Hotels + Resorts and hotel status, not on doors.

  • 1 Oct 2026
not yet in force Lounge moderate American Express
Amex bolts a ₹1 lakh spend gate onto Platinum Travel's domestic lounge access
  • 1 Oct 2026
not yet in force Lounge major American Express
Platinum Travel's domestic lounge access gets a ₹1 lakh prior-quarter spend gate
8 complimentary domestic lounge visits a year, capped at two per quarter, with no spend condition anywhere. → Up to two complimentary domestic visits in a calendar quarter, EARNED by spending ₹1 lakh or more in eligible transactions in the preceding calendar quarter.

Same notice, three weeks later, and it lands on the other half of what this card is for. "From October 1, 2026, complimentary domestic airport lounge access will be linked to quarterly spending on the card. To receive up to two complimentary domestic airport lounge visits in a calendar quarter, a cardmember will need to have spent INR 1 lakh or more in eligible transactions in the preceding calendar quarter." The visit COUNT does not change — two a quarter, eight a year, exactly as before. What changes is that they stop being something you hold and start being something you earn, and ₹4 lakh a year of spend is now the price of a benefit that used to come with the ₹5,000 fee. On a card sold to travellers rather than to heavy spenders, that is a real withdrawal: the ₹1.9 lakh milestone deleted in September was the rung a moderate spender actually reached, and now the lounges want ₹4 lakh a year too. CARRY THE TRANSITIONAL RUNG, because it applies to exactly one quarter and then vanishes. CardInsider's report of the same notice adds what the first report did not: "As a one-time exception, for the October–December 2026 quarter, cardholders will need to have spent ₹70,000 or more between July and September 2026 to qualify for lounge access." So the gate for the first affected quarter is ₹70,000, not ₹1 lakh — and July and August of that window are already spent by the time most readers learn this, which is what a one-time exception announced seven weeks ahead really means.
