Hyderabad to Kolkata on points

HYD → CCU great-circle 1,207 km · 750 mi — short-haul domestic trunk, ~2 hours 1 program priced as of

The pair Air India skipped twice. The April-2026 Maharaja route table is a pull of all 193 city pairs Air India actually sells, and Hyderabad–Kolkata is not one of them — because no Air India Group aircraft flies it. Mainline's Hyderabad map is Delhi, Mumbai and Tirupati; Air India Express's runs to the Gulf, Bengaluru and Goa–Mopa, never Kolkata. Every mainline one-stop is at least 1.9× the great circle, which kills the partner charts too: Aeroplan prices distance flown, but only on a routing you could actually be issued. So a 1,207-km trunk with no fixed award anywhere on it — just IndiGo, which owns the route and sells the seat back to you at the live fare. One option, and it is not really an award.

Economy

Every economy option on this corridor is dynamic-priced — no honest number to crown. The rows below say what we know.

Program Metal / routing Points Surcharge All-in ₹ vs play
IndiGo BluChip IndiGo nonstop — BluChip, dynamic (revenue-priced) ~10,400 est. ₹5,200

All-in ₹ = points × the program's house value (valuation index) + the sourced one-way surcharge; a dash means the carrier doesn't publish it and the ranking counts it ₹0 — the row's note carries the caveat. That surcharge is the airline's own cash charge on an award — YQ, as the notes below call it — and it is not the fuel-surcharge waiver your credit card advertises: that one hands back a hundred rupees or two at a petrol pump, this one runs to tens of thousands and decides whether the award is worth taking at all. “Dynamic” and estimated (~… est.) rows never compete for the play — the crown is always a verified, bookable price. Feed-ins come from the same transfer data as the optimizer, multi-hop chains included.

IndiGo nonstop — BluChip, dynamic (revenue-priced)

IndiGo

IndiGo is effectively the whole corridor, and BluChip has no chart — redemptions track the live fare at ₹0.40–0.60 per BluChip, minimum 500, taxes and convenience fees cash-only. There is nothing to plan around: the "award" moves 1:1 with the ticket price. When Air India puts Group metal on Hyderabad–Kolkata, the corridor gets its anchor.

Estimate IndiGo BluChip is revenue-linked ~Rs0.50/pt; ~= typical one-way IndiGo economy fare / Rs0.50 for ~750 mi - a rupee offset that moves 1:1 with the live fare. Own-metal only, no partners.
