Axis My Zone DCC markup triples to 3.5% — from 28 Aug 2026

The Axis My Zone card's Dynamic Currency Conversion markup will increase to 3.5% from 1.5% from 28 Aug 2026, and Bridge Fees, Road Fees and Tolls will stop earning EDGE REWARD Points. This change will affect cardholders who use their card for foreign transactions and certain domestic spends.

From 28 Aug 2026, Axis Bank will increase the Dynamic Currency Conversion markup on the My Zone card from 1.5% to 3.5% of the transaction amount. The late-payment fee will also be revised, with a new slab of ₹1,300 above ₹50,000 outstanding. Additionally, gift-card spend will be moved to its own category and Bridge Fees, Road Fees and Tolls will no longer earn EDGE REWARD Points. The increased DCC markup will make it more expensive for cardholders to use their My Zone card for foreign transactions. The removal of rewards on Bridge Fees, Road Fees and Tolls will also narrow the earning surface for cardholders. This change will likely affect cardholders who frequently use their card for international transactions or certain domestic spends. Our take: Cardholders who use their My Zone card for foreign transactions should consider alternative options or factor in the increased DCC markup before their next international trip. With the change not taking effect until 28 Aug 2026, cardholders still have time to adjust their spending habits or explore other cards with more favourable terms.
