IndiGo Axis Premium DCC markup rises to 2.5% — from 28 Aug 2026
The IndiGo Axis Premium card's Dynamic Currency Conversion markup will increase to 2.5% from 28 Aug 2026, with a new ₹1,300 late-payment slab for outstanding amounts above ₹50,000. Bridge Fees, Road Fees and Tolls will no longer earn rewards.
From 28 Aug 2026, the IndiGo Axis Premium card will have a Dynamic Currency Conversion markup of 2.5% plus taxes. The card’s own notice carves it out from Axis’s bank-wide 3.5% DCC hike. Gift-card spend will be booked under a new ‘Gift Card’ category, and Bridge Fees, Road Fees and Tolls will no longer earn BluChips. The change will affect cardholders who use their card for foreign transactions, as they will now be charged a higher markup. The new ₹1,300 late-payment slab for outstanding amounts above ₹50,000 will also impact cardholders who do not pay their bills on time. Our take: with the change not taking effect until 28 Aug 2026, cardholders have a window to use their card for Bridge Fees, Road Fees and Tolls to earn BluChips before rewards are stripped entirely. Cardholders should also be aware of the new late-payment slab and plan their payments accordingly to avoid the fee.
