Amex shuts Mumbai Centurion Lounge — 1 Jul 2026
American Express has closed its Centurion Lounge at Mumbai T2 Domestic from 1 Jul 2026, replacing it with access to the Adani Business Class Lounge for Platinum members. This change affects Platinum Card members who previously enjoyed exclusive access to the Centurion Lounge.
American Express has permanently closed its Centurion Lounge at Mumbai T2 Domestic, effective 1 Jul 2026. The lounge, located on Level 3 opposite Gate 65, was previously exclusive to Platinum and Centurion card members. The closure of the Centurion Lounge means that eligible Platinum Card members will now have access to the Adani Business Class Lounge in T2 Domestic, regardless of their class of travel. While this replacement lounge offers some benefits, it is not a proprietary Amex lounge like the Centurion Lounge. Our take: a proprietary Amex lounge has been swapped for a shared Adani Business Class Lounge, so the Platinum’s Mumbai story is now the same one every other premium card tells. The one real improvement is that access applies regardless of your class of travel. Keep the card for the rest of the stack if it earns its fee there — just stop counting a Centurion Lounge at BOM among the reasons, because there isn’t one any more.
