HDFC Bank has cut the earn rate of its Regalia card by 25% under the ₹200 denominator. The card now earns 4 RP per ₹200 spent, which translates to 2 RP per ₹100. This is a significant reduction from the earlier earn rate of 4 RP per ₹150 spent, or ~2.67 RP per ₹100. The change was made on 15 May 2026, as per the bank’s change notice. Notably, this change only affects the legacy Regalia card, which is closed to new applicants. Other cards like Infinia, Diners Black, and BizBlack are explicitly spared from this change. Our take: 4 RP per ₹150 down to 4 RP per ₹200 takes the legacy Regalia from ~1.33% to 1% at ₹0.50 flight-redemption value, while Infinia, Diners Black and BizBlack are explicitly spared. That exemption list is the tell — this is a closed card being wound down, and grandfathered holders are the only people paying for it.
