Axis pulls Marriott, Accor and Qatar from EDGE transfers overnight

Three of the most useful transfer routes vanished with almost no notice. Move your miles.

Axis Bank has removed Marriott Bonvoy, Accor Live Limitless and Qatar Airways Privilege Club as EDGE Miles / EDGE Rewards transfer partners, effective 1 April 2026. There was little runway for cardholders sitting on balances.

For Atlas holders this is the sharpest kind of devaluation: the miles you earned are still there, but three of the best places to use them are gone. Hotel value took the biggest hit — Bonvoy and Accor were the flexible escape hatches.

Our take: the lesson isn’t “dump the Atlas” — its 5x travel earn and KrisFlyer/Air India routes still make it India’s best purpose-built miles card. The lesson is never hoard. Earn, transfer to a specific redemption, and book. Points sitting in a bank program are an option the bank can rewrite at will — and in 2026, they keep doing exactly that.
