The value lives in the partners: ANA business at a fixed, round-trip-only price is the marquee, and an Indian wallet can reach ANA metal nonstop (HND/NRT–Delhi, HND–Mumbai). Amex Membership Rewards is the ONLY direct Indian feed, at 2:1 — everything else is a hotel hop. Points never expire, which is the one thing working in your favour.

Round-trip only (Virgin's hard rule on ANA) and ANA loads real fuel surcharges, so budget ₹10,000–15,000 in taxes each way; the ~60,000-RT business band is the India/Asia short-haul tier — confirm at booking as Virgin has trimmed the ANA chart before. No ₹/pt claimed without a dated fare, but it clears the ₹1 anchor whenever ANA releases the space.
