Delhi Metro SBI Card

What it's worth to you, after the fee
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until SBI Card publishes terms we can cite.

1 notes on the card itself: how it is issued
The take
This is the DMRC co-brand, and SBI Card has quietly deleted everything about it except the bill. The product page is gone — sbicard.com serves its own 404 at the path — there is no brochure and no entry in the product-record feed that backs every live card page. What survives is a fee row in the MITC and the same row in the Key Fact Statement: ₹499 to take it, ₹499 every year after, waived if you spent ₹1 lakh on it in the preceding year. SBI's sitemap does still publish an application form for it, so the card is probably still being sold at some counter, but the form refuses every automated client and we will not tell you it is open when we could not open it. So here is the honest position: if you hold this card, the ₹1 lakh bar is the number that matters — clear it and the card is free, miss it and you are paying ₹499 for benefits nobody at SBI will describe in writing. Ask for the terms before you renew, and if they cannot produce them, that is your answer.

Keep, downgrade or cancel
what we can and cannot price
Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.
Your copy of this card
You hold this card.
Kept on this device, in your browser. It is never sent to us, never synced, and nothing else on the site reads it yet.
The downgrade
SBI Card publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

If you call to cancel
What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- ₹499 renewal waived outright if you spent ₹1,00,000 on the card in the preceding year
- Still serviced by SBI Card and still priced in the current MITC and Key Fact Statement
Watch out
- SBI publishes NO product page, brochure or benefit sheet for this card — its terms are entirely unstated, so we decline to value it
- 3.5% foreign-currency markup — SBI's 1.99% list names AURUM, ELITE, PRIME NRI Secured, Tata Neu Infinity and MILES ELITE, and this is on none of them
- Interest runs to 3.75% a month (45% a year)
- No lounge access: the card is absent from both Set A and Set B of SBI's own Airport Lounge Access page
- Miss the ₹1 lakh bar and you pay ₹499 for a benefit set the issuer will not put in writing
What these points actually fly
SBI Card has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?
not published — and we say which
₹1,00,000 a year is the bar that waives the ₹499 fee. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.
Not published. SBI Card states what the Delhi Metro SBI Card earns, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver — the ₹1,00,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

the route in — no cutoffs published
The cutoffs and the actual route in — not the "apply now" button, the door that opens.
Not confirmed on sale — the issuer still documents this card but we could not confirm it is open to new applications. Treat any application path with care.
Undocumented. SBI's XML sitemap still lists an application form at /eapply/eapply-form.page?path=personal/credit-cards/travel/delhi-metro.dcr, but the form returns HTTP 403 to every automated client, so we cannot confirm it accepts applications — and there is no product page behind it stating income, age or eligibility criteria. If you want the card, ask an SBI Card representative or a DMRC counter directly. If you want a transit-shaped SBI card that IS documented, SBI's own published range is the place to look.
SBI Card publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.

The fine print
4 of 7 MITC rows published
What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.
DMRC transit co-brand. MITC row "Delhi Metro SBI Card 499 499 (Waived off on annual spends of 1 Lakh or more in the preceding year)". SBI's fee columns are the INVERTED pair — its own prose says "Annual fee is a one-time charge … renewal fee is charged every year" — so column one is our joiningFee and column two our annualFee; both ₹499 here, hence annualFee alone. THE CARD IS OTHERWISE UNDOCUMENTED: no product page (SBI's own 404 at the path), no product-record JSON, no brochure, and no product URL in sbicard.com's sitemap — only an eapply form, which 403s to automated clients. Reward terms unstated, so the card file carries the absent (unpublished) earn rate.

- 3 Aug 2026SBI drops Etihad Guest from the MILES transfer table — the last SBI door into the programmeSBI Card Travel Credits transferred 1:1 into Etihad Guest, one of eighteen airline partners in §3 of the MILES rewards T&C. At the ₹1/partner-mile anchor that was a full-value exit, and it was the only route left after the two Etihad Guest SBI co-brands were retired. → No Etihad route at all. The MILES rewards T&C now lists seventeen airline partners and Etihad is not one of them — the word does not appear anywhere in the seven-page document. Every other SBI partner survives at the same ratio.
SBI Card's own MILES rewards T&C, re-fetched on 22 August 2026 and carrying a 3 August 2026 ModDate inside the PDF, has one fewer airline in it than the edition this desk read on 2 August. The deletion is provable from the numbering rather than from absence alone: the table's first seven rows are unchanged (Air Canada 3, Air France-KLM 4, Air India 5, British Airways 6, Cathay 7), and every row from position eight onward has moved up exactly one — Thai from 14 to 13, Qantas from 17 to 16. Position eight was Etihad Airways / Etihad Guest / 1:1. All twenty-four other partners we carry, airline and hotel, are still there at the same ratios, so this is Etihad being dropped and not SBI narrowing transfers. The timing matters more than the ratio. SBI phased out the Etihad Guest SBI and Etihad Guest SBI Premier cards from December 2025 and reissued holders onto MILES products, and the transfer route was what made that migration survivable — a Premier holder who had spent six years earning Etihad miles could keep feeding the same account through Travel Credits. That is now closed, and India's remaining pipes into Etihad Guest run through BOBCARD's Etihad co-brands, not through SBI. If you hold SBI Travel Credits earmarked for an Abu Dhabi business seat, they are Aeroplan, Flying Blue, Avios or Maharaja points now. ON THE DATE: SBI publishes no notice and no cut-off. The date here is the day the desk read the change out of SBI's own document; the PDF's internal ModDate puts the edition at 3 August 2026, which is the earliest day we can prove, not an announcement.
