The card this affects

SBI Card and Eternal — the company behind Zomato, Blinkit and District — announced a co-branded credit card on 15 October 2026, on Mastercard and RuPay. SBI Card’s own product record and its T&C booklet carry the terms:
- Fee: ₹499 a year plus GST, reversed once you spend ₹2 lakh in the preceding year. Six months of Zomato Gold on activation.
- 10% instant discount on Zomato and District and on Blinkit’s beauty and electronics aisles, 5% on the rest of Blinkit, groceries included — all inside one cap of ₹2,000 a calendar month. Bistro also takes 10%.
- Up to 5% cashback at Apollo, ixigo, Uber and Urban Company, capped at ₹1,000 a month across the four. On ixigo it is a 4% instant discount with code IXIGOSBI plus 1% as statement cashback.
- 1% on all other eligible spends, capped at ₹500 a month, with fuel, rent, insurance, jewellery, education, utilities, wallet loads, gaming and EMI excluded.
- A District buy-one-get-one movie ticket every month, up to ₹200 off the second ticket.
There is no lounge access and no transfer partner, and SBI’s standard 3.5% forex markup applies. That makes it a cashback card, not a travel card: worth it for a household that orders in often, and a capped 1% card for anyone else. SBI’s record still shows the card as not open online; applications are reported to open in phases from 22 October.

Swiggy Ornge HDFC Bank Credit Card vs Eternal SBI Card
Swiggy's card against Zomato's, and the merchant lists barely overlap. Ornge pays 5% on Swiggy, Instamart and Dineout and on a named list of online merchants, all inside one ₹1,500 cap a billing cycle, over a 1% base capped at ₹1,000; Eternal takes 10% off Zomato, District and Blinkit's beauty and electronics aisles and 5% off the rest of Blinkit inside one ₹2,000 cap a month, over a 1% base capped at ₹500. ₹500 a year waived at ₹1,50,000 of spend against ₹499 waived at ₹2,00,000. Neither opens a lounge — carry the one whose delivery app you already open.
