What it's worth to you, after the fee

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until Kotak Mahindra Bank publishes terms we can cite.

Why #567 Carried, not ranked. The Purchase Card on a faster clock: pay 7 or 15 days after the statement instead of 18, which at the short end leaves as little as ten days of interest-free credit on a late-cycle purchase. Free, and the whole product is the timing.

The take

This is Kotak's Purchase Credit Card with one term changed, and the changed term is the whole product. Where a standard Kotak commercial card gives 18 days after the statement to pay, this variant gives "7/15 days (or as defined basis the product construct)". Kotak works both cases in its MITC rather than leaving them abstract. On a 30+7 construct — statement covering 1 to 30 April, due 7 May — a purchase on the 1st gets 37 interest-free days and one on the 12th gets 25. On a 15+7 construct — statement to 15 April, due 22 April — the same purchases get 22 days and 10 days. Ten days of float on a late-cycle purchase is a materially different instrument from the 48-day ceiling the rest of the shelf works to. Who wants that? A company whose own receivables clear fast and whose bank is pricing the credit accordingly, or one running a supplier programme where the short cycle is the condition of the rate. It is not a cardholder benefit and Kotak does not present it as one — which is precisely why a reader handed one should know the number before the first statement lands. Everything else is the Purchase Card, and it is well documented. Nil to join and nil a year, on its own KFS row. Interest at 3.30% a month, 39.60% a year, on the same finance line as the Purchase and Virtual Purchase cards. Minimum amount due up to 100%, no cash withdrawal under the Corporate Liability Programme, no cash payment facility, forex up to 3.50%, the fuel surcharge waived between ₹500 and ₹3,000 to ₹3,500 a year, the railway surcharge charged, and 1.1% on utility and insurance payments. There is no published reward rate; whatever incentive exists arrives by email from a relationship manager.

Your renewal — keep, downgrade or cancel

Keep, downgrade or cancel

what we can and cannot price

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes how it earns — every net-value number here would be a fee subtracted from rewards nobody has described. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade

Kotak Mahindra Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

What has changed under this card

  • 12 Feb 2025 RBI lifts Kotak's ten-month card-issuance ban issuer-wide

If you call to cancel

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • Nil to open and nil a year, on its own row in the Purchase Card's Key Fact Statement
  • Kotak publishes both constructs with worked examples: 30+7 gives 37 days at best, 15+7 gives 22
  • Fuel surcharge waived on transactions between ₹500 and ₹3,000, up to ₹3,500 a calendar year
  • Card replacement after loss or damage is waived
  • The rest of the Purchase Card's documented schedule applies unchanged, including its 48-day ceiling on any interest-free period

Watch out

  • The payment window is 7 or 15 days after the statement, against 18 for every other Kotak commercial card
  • At the short end a late-cycle purchase gets as little as ten interest-free days, by Kotak's own worked example
  • Kotak publishes no reward rate; the MITC puts any incentive at the bank's discretion, per company, by email
  • The railway surcharge is charged, per the KFS and MITC clause 5.6
  • Utility bills and insurance premiums carry a 1.1% transaction fee
  • Revolving costs 3.30% a month, 39.60% a year, and the minimum amount due can be the entire bill
  • No cash: withdrawal is not available under Kotak's Corporate Liability Programme
  • No lounge access is published for it, and it opens no door on our map

What these points actually fly

Kotak Mahindra Bank has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

Dream Different's unredeemed reward points expire after 30 September 2026
Reward points accrued on the Dream Different Credit Card up to 31 March 2026 sitting in the account with no stated expiry date → A hard forfeiture date — "After 30th September, 2026, any unredeemed Reward Points will automatically expire"

The second half of the note that closed the programme is the part holders can still act on. Kotak's cardholder agreement gives every Dream Different point accrued up to 31 March 2026 a six-month redemption window that shuts on 30 September 2026, after which unredeemed points are forfeited outright. At the agreement's own conversion rate of 25 paise per point, a year of the card's headline 4-points-per-₹100 online earn on ₹1 lakh of online spend is roughly 4,000 points, about ₹1,000 — small money, but money that becomes zero on 1 October. Points redeem against the Kotak catalogue (flights, hotels, vouchers, merchandise) or as a statement credit through the rewards portal or the contact centre, each with its own minimum, so a last-week redemption risks missing the date on processing alone.
