What it's worth to you, after the fee
Welcome: A ₹500 Myntra voucher on card activation, and a second ₹500 voucher for completing a transaction of ₹500 or more within 30 days of issuance
Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied: it earns nothing on fuel here, so that spend is dropped, not paid at the headline, and stops pacing milestones and the waiver. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Pays for itself at ₹4,000 a month
At ₹4,000 a month — ₹48,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹600 gross (earn ₹600) against its ₹500 fee = ₹100 net — the first rung at or above ₹0. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.
3 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · the network variants · why it ranks #858
Why #858 WITHDRAWN. On its own numbers it was one of the better ₹500 cards India has had — 7.5% off at Myntra with no annual ceiling, 1.25% everywhere else, four lounge visits and a quarterly pair of cinema tickets — which is exactly why its disappearance is worth recording.
The take
For ₹500 a year this was, briefly, one of the sharpest mass-market cards in the country, and it is gone: Kotak's page for it now 404s and the bank's own Key Fact Statement index — the exhaustive list the RBI makes every issuer publish — no longer names it. Launched 1 June 2023 as, in Kotak's words, "India's First-of-its-kind Digital Fashion Co-Branded Credit Card", applied for inside the Myntra app itself. What made it good was the shape of the discount. Seven and a half per cent off every Myntra transaction, capped at ₹750 a transaction and — unusually — at nothing per month or per year, so a heavy Myntra shopper kept earning where almost every rival card would have stopped. Around that: 5% back at Swiggy, Swiggy Instamart, PVR, Cleartrip and Urban Company, capped at ₹1,000 a statement cycle; an unlimited 1.25% on everything else, paid as money onto the statement rather than as catalogue points; a complimentary Myntra Insider Select membership; two PVR tickets worth ₹250 each every quarter you spent ₹50,000; one domestic lounge visit a quarter; and ₹1,000 of Myntra vouchers for turning it on. The ₹500 fee waived at ₹2 lakh of spend. Kotak's own value chart put the package at ₹25,150 a year against ₹3.75 lakh of spend. The exclusions were the honest catch — rent, wallet loads, fuel and anything converted to EMI earned nothing, and the RuPay UPI leg additionally excluded education and every UPI transaction of ₹2,000 or less, which is most of them. If you still hold one, note that the two live PVR Kotak cards and the Kotak Cashback Plus are where the nearest surviving benefits sit.

The waiver ₹2,00,000 of spend in the year before renewal — about ₹16,667 a month — and the renewal fee is not charged.

The downgrade
Kotak Mahindra Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.
What has changed under this card
- 1 Jun 2025 Kotak's June-2025 fee wave washes over the premium deck issuer-wide
- 12 Feb 2025 RBI lifts Kotak's ten-month card-issuance ban issuer-wide

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →
The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.
What's good
- 7.5% instant discount on every Myntra app or website transaction, capped at ₹750 per transaction and nothing beyond that
- 5% cashback at Swiggy, Swiggy Instamart, PVR, Cleartrip and Urban Company, up to ₹1,000 a statement cycle
- Unlimited 1.25% cashback everywhere else, credited to the statement as money
- Complimentary Myntra Insider Select membership, granted within 30 days of activation
- Two PVR tickets worth ₹250 each every calendar quarter you spend ₹50,000
- ₹1,000 of Myntra vouchers for activating the card and making one ₹500 transaction
- ₹500 a year, waived on ₹2 lakh of spend in the previous anniversary year
- Issued on both Mastercard and RuPay, and the RuPay form pays 1.25% on UPI-on-credit-card spends too
Watch out
- WITHDRAWN — Kotak's product page 404s and the bank's own RBI-mandated Key Fact Statement index no longer lists the card
- No cashback at all on rent, wallet loads, fuel or EMI conversions, and cashback already paid on a transaction later converted to EMI is clawed back
- The UPI leg excludes more than the card leg: education, and every UPI transaction of ₹2,000 or less
- The preferred-partner 5% stops at ₹1,000 a statement cycle across all five merchants together
- The Myntra benefit is an instant DISCOUNT, not cashback — it lands at checkout, not on the statement, and only on Myntra's own app and website
- Kotak's ₹25,150 value chart assumes ₹3.75 lakh of spend split its way, including ₹7,000 it books for the Myntra Insider membership and marks "TBD"
What these points actually fly
No live transfer route takes Statement cashback (₹) into a programme that publishes an award chart. These points buy catalogue and portal redemptions, not award seats — so this page has no flight to show you, and will not invent one.

8 sourced rules · 5 pay zero
WITHDRAWN card, kept for the holders. Two different exclusion lists ran on the same plastic and the longer one governed UPI: the card leg excluded rent, wallet loads, fuel and EMI, while the RuPay UPI-on-credit-card leg additionally excluded education and "UPI transactions below or equal to Rs.2000/-" — which is most UPI payments, and the single most consequential line in the document. The 7.5% Myntra benefit is an INSTANT DISCOUNT at checkout, not statement cashback, and is capped per transaction rather than per cycle.
- Rent & property management · excluded No cashback on either leg — "No cashback will be accrued on spends across Rent, Wallet and Fuel categories", and rent is also excluded from the quarterly PVR milestone
- Wallet loads · excluded No cashback on either leg, and excluded from the quarterly milestone too
- Fuel · excluded No cashback on either leg. A 1% fuel SURCHARGE waiver still applied on transactions of ₹500–₹3,000, capped at ₹3,500 an anniversary year
- Education · excluded Excluded from the RuPay UPI-on-credit-card leg only — the card leg paid the base 1.25% on education spends

Does your spend count toward the fee waiver?
not published — and we say which
₹2,00,000 a year is the bar that waives the ₹500 fee. A different question from the one above — earning points and counting toward a threshold are separate rules, and issuers write them separately.
Not published. Kotak Mahindra Bank states what the Myntra Kotak earns and does not earn, but has not published which spend categories count toward the fee waiver — the ₹2,00,000 bar. We won't guess it from the earn table or from a sibling card: Axis published three cards' rules on one day and all three lists differed. If you hold this card and have it in writing from the issuer, send us the document and we'll source it.

The cutoffs and the actual route in — not the "apply now" button, the door that opens.
Closed to new applications — existing cardholders keep the card; there is no way in.
You cannot. Kotak has retired the card: the product page returns 404 and the bank's Key Fact Statement index — which an RBI mandate requires to be exhaustive — enumerates around thirty products including two PVR tiers and the Kotak811 super.money co-brand, and contains no Myntra card. While it ran, the route in was unusual and worth recording: "Existing Myntra customers will be able to apply for the card through a completely digital journey on the Myntra app itself", with the Kotak app as the second door. Nearest surviving Kotak products for the benefits that mattered: PVR Kotak Gold and PVR Kotak Platinum for the cinema, Kotak Cashback Plus for the online-category cashback.

WITHDRAWN: the product page returns 404 on Kotak's live host and the bank's RBI-mandated Key Fact Statement index no longer names the card. Launched 1 June 2023. ONE FEE, in Kotak's own words: "The joining fee and annual fee for this unique credit card is Rs. 500 only", waived on ₹2 lakh of spend in the previous anniversary year. Issued on BOTH Mastercard and RuPay — "The Kotak Myntra credit card will be available on MasterCard and RuPay networks" — with the RuPay form paying 1.25% on UPI-on-credit-card spends above ₹2,000. Benefits: 7.5% instant discount on Myntra capped at ₹750 a transaction; 5% cashback at Swiggy, Swiggy Instamart, PVR, Cleartrip and Urban Company capped at ₹1,000 a statement cycle; unlimited 1.25% elsewhere credited to the statement; complimentary Myntra Insider Select membership; two PVR tickets worth ₹250 each per calendar quarter on ₹50,000 of quarterly spend; one domestic lounge visit a quarter; ₹1,000 of Myntra vouchers on activation and first spend; 1% fuel surcharge waiver on ₹500–₹3,000 transactions capped at ₹3,500 an anniversary year. Kotak's own value chart totalled ₹25,150 a year against ₹3.75 lakh of spend.

- 30 Sept 2026Dream Different's unredeemed reward points expire after 30 September 2026Reward points accrued on the Dream Different Credit Card up to 31 March 2026 sitting in the account with no stated expiry date → A hard forfeiture date — "After 30th September, 2026, any unredeemed Reward Points will automatically expire"
The second half of the note that closed the programme is the part holders can still act on. Kotak's cardholder agreement gives every Dream Different point accrued up to 31 March 2026 a six-month redemption window that shuts on 30 September 2026, after which unredeemed points are forfeited outright. At the agreement's own conversion rate of 25 paise per point, a year of the card's headline 4-points-per-₹100 online earn on ₹1 lakh of online spend is roughly 4,000 points, about ₹1,000 — small money, but money that becomes zero on 1 October. Points redeem against the Kotak catalogue (flights, hotels, vouchers, merchandise) or as a statement credit through the rewards portal or the contact centre, each with its own minimum, so a last-week redemption risks missing the date on processing alone.
