What it's worth to you, after the fee

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee schedule AND an earn table — we have neither number, so there is nothing to net off against nothing. Everything we can source — the fee, the charges, the migration that put this card in your hand — is above and stands on its own; this card is simply not on the board, not in the calculator, and cannot win a best-of call until Kotak Mahindra Bank publishes terms we can cite.

Visa — Kotak sells it as an "International Credit Card" reaching "10 million merchants across the globe" and prices the corporate family's utility and insurance transaction fees on categories "as defined by Visa"

Why #492 A business card carried, not ranked, and unpriced on top: Kotak sells Corporate Gold from a live page and prices it in no published document. What it does publish is a fuel surcharge waiver, 48 interest-free days and quarterly redemption by demand draft.

The take

Corporate Gold is the oldest-looking thing on Kotak's commercial shelf and the least documented. The product page is live, it has an application route, and it sells the ordinary corporate-card proposition well: one company limit split across employee cards at whatever hierarchy you choose, one consolidated payment so no employee ever pays a bill or a late fee, monthly per-employee e-statements, vendor-wise spend tracking, free SMS and email alerts on every transaction, and free card replacement any time a card is lost, stolen or damaged. Up to 48 interest-free days, which Kotak frames as "just like overdraft facility on credit cards". The fuel surcharge waiver is the one hard number on the page: fills between ₹500 and ₹3,000, capped at ₹3,500 a calendar year, "across all petrol pumps in India". Then the two silences. Kotak prices its whole commercial book in one table — clause 5.1 of the corporate MITC, twelve variants from Solitaire Business down to the Purchase Card — and Corporate Gold is not in it. There is no Key Fact Statement for it either; the bank's own MITC-and-CA index lists thirteen commercial KFS documents by name and this is not one. The page's "Fees & Charges" tab contains nothing but a link back to that MITC. And the earn is the familiar corporate blank: "Higher reward point earnings", higher than what unstated, redeemed quarterly as a demand draft at a rate the MITC says a relationship manager will email your company. So this desk carries it and prices nothing. If your company is being offered one, the two questions to put in writing are what it costs and what it earns — because Kotak has published neither.

Keep, downgrade or cancel

what we can and cannot price

Not valued. We can't value this card until the issuer publishes a fee schedule AND an earn table — we have neither number, so there is nothing to net off against nothing. A break-even is the spend at which value crosses a fee, and we are short one side of that sentence — so this desk prints no ladder, no crossing and no ₹0 standing in for either. What we can source about this card is under Sources.

The downgrade

Kotak Mahindra Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and we cannot price either side of it.

What has changed under this card

  • 1 Jun 2025 Kotak's June-2025 fee wave washes over the premium deck issuer-wide
  • 12 Feb 2025 RBI lifts Kotak's ten-month card-issuance ban issuer-wide

We price what is in force today — a change that has not happened yet is not in these numbers. the full archive for this card →

If you call to cancel

What the bank offers to keep you is the one fact this desk cannot compute. We are collecting those reports — dated, and only in aggregate — before publishing any: an offer one reader was made is not one you are owed. Called about this card? Tell us what they offered →

The desk publishes subscribable .ics feeds for the dates it knows — offer deadlines, devaluations, expiry audits. Your renewal date is not one of them: only your statement knows it.

What's good

  • 1% fuel surcharge waived on fills between ₹500 and ₹3,000, up to ₹3,500 a calendar year, across all petrol pumps in India
  • Up to 48 days of interest-free credit, with the company settling one consolidated bill for every employee card
  • One company limit split across employee cards by hierarchy, designation or request
  • Free card replacement any time, for a lost, stolen or damaged card
  • Vendor-wise and per-employee spend tracking, with monthly e-statements to each cardholder
  • Free SMS and email alerts on every transaction, and a dedicated service manager

Watch out

  • Kotak publishes no fee for this card — it is absent from the twelve-row fee table in the corporate MITC and has no Key Fact Statement of its own
  • Kotak publishes no reward rate either: "Higher reward point earnings" names no rate, no cap and no per-point value
  • Redemption is quarterly and arrives as a demand draft, not as points you control
  • Employees cannot pay their own bills — the company settles everything, which is the design, not a bug
  • The product page's "Fees & Charges" tab contains no fees and no charges, only a link to the MITC

What these points actually fly

Kotak Mahindra Bank has not published what this card earns, so there are no points here to fly with — not zero points, and not points that go nowhere: nothing stated either way. The moment a benefit sheet exists we will price whatever it names.

No consumer application. Kotak's own FAQ routes it through the company: write to the commercial-cards desk with "Name of your Entity / Name of contact person / Contact details / Number of cards" and a sales representative comes back. Kotak publishes no turnover, income or headcount cutoff — and no price, so the commercial agreement is where both are settled.

Kotak Mahindra Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.

Dream Different's unredeemed reward points expire after 30 September 2026
Reward points accrued on the Dream Different Credit Card up to 31 March 2026 sitting in the account with no stated expiry date → A hard forfeiture date — "After 30th September, 2026, any unredeemed Reward Points will automatically expire"

The second half of the note that closed the programme is the part holders can still act on. Kotak's cardholder agreement gives every Dream Different point accrued up to 31 March 2026 a six-month redemption window that shuts on 30 September 2026, after which unredeemed points are forfeited outright. At the agreement's own conversion rate of 25 paise per point, a year of the card's headline 4-points-per-₹100 online earn on ₹1 lakh of online spend is roughly 4,000 points, about ₹1,000 — small money, but money that becomes zero on 1 October. Points redeem against the Kotak catalogue (flights, hotels, vouchers, merchandise) or as a statement credit through the rewards portal or the contact centre, each with its own minimum, so a last-week redemption risks missing the date on processing alone.
