What it's worth to you, after the fee
Welcome: Welcome gift — Montblanc, a Postcard Hotels stay or a Vouchagram voucher pack — but IndusInd states it is available only on select fee plans, and does not publish which
Priced on the everyday mix — 30% groceries · 10% utilities · 20% travel · 6% fuel · 34% everything else — with this card's published category rules applied. Plus milestones, minus the fee. No accelerator credit — the ranking model on /compare adds ~20% of spend at the card's best accelerator, so its ₹ for this card reads higher.

Pays from the first rupee
At ₹1,000 a month — ₹12,000 a year — on the everyday mix this card returns ₹100 gross (earn ₹100) against its ₹0 fee = ₹100 net — at or above ₹0 from the first rung we price. The ladder runs in ₹1,000 steps to ₹1,00,000 a month and ₹10,000 steps to ₹5,00,000; figures are rounded to the hundred, and the accelerator is never credited.
2 notes on the card itself: how it is issued · why it ranks #248
Why #248 ₹10,000 once, nothing thereafter, for a card that earns 1 Reward Point per ₹150 — the thinnest earn on IndusInd's premium shelf. Ranked on the two things that are actually worth money: a BookMyShow buy-one-get-one twice a month and the physical buttons, which no other Indian card has.
Nexxt's Reward Points never expire — IndusInd says so outright — but they leave the card badly. KrisFlyer is a flat 4 points to 1 mile, the same decoy rate the Legend gets, and only the Pioneer and Pinnacle tiers do better at 2:1. Cash credit is the floor. The ₹0.75 IndusMoments voucher rate is what this card realistically banks, and redeeming costs ₹100 a request (₹149 for cash), or 5% + GST of the transaction through Twid.
Best real exit: Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer at ₹0.28/pt (4:1 transfer).
The take
Nexxt is the only credit card in India with physical buttons on it, and that is not a gimmick — it is the entire product. Three LED-lit buttons sit on the card face: press EMI and the swipe converts at 12% over 6, 12, 18 or 24 months, pressing once more for each longer tenure; press Rewards and your accumulated points settle the bill directly, provided you hold at least 500 of them; press Credit and it behaves like any other card. The light blinks for six minutes, which is your window to hand the card over. The buttons work at a physical POS terminal only — online, MOTO, IVR, Samsung Pay and ATM withdrawals all fall back to plain credit — so the feature is a shop-counter feature. Now the money. IndusInd charges ₹10,000 once and nothing ever again, which is an unusual and rather honest shape, and then pays 1 Reward Point per ₹150. That is 0.5% at the ₹0.75 the bank's own value chart puts on a point, and it is the thinnest earn anywhere on its premium shelf — Legend pays 1 per ₹100 for half the joining fee. The chart's own total, ₹7,080 a year, is two-thirds movie tickets: buy-one-get-one on BookMyShow twice a month, the free ticket capped at ₹200. Read the lounge line carefully, because it is the trap. Nexxt gets a Priority Pass membership "upon request", and every single visit costs up to US$35 — there are no complimentary visits at all, and LoungeKey is the same. So this is not a travel card. It is a novelty with a real ₹4,800 of cinema attached, a 1% fuel-surcharge waiver, ₹1 lakh of baggage cover, and a payment mechanism you will either use every week or never touch.

The downgrade
IndusInd Bank publishes no document naming a card you can step down to, so we name none — an invented product change is a phone call you would waste. That leaves keep or cancel, and the numbers above are the whole of it.

What's good
- The only Indian credit card with physical buttons — EMI, Rewards or Credit, chosen at the point of swipe
- EMI at the press of a button: 6, 12, 18 or 24 months at 12% interest, one press per tier
- Pay directly with points at the counter once you hold 500 or more
- BookMyShow buy-one-get-one, twice a month, free ticket capped at ₹200 — IndusInd values it at ₹4,800 a year
- ₹10,000 once and no annual fee ever — the joining fee is the whole price
- 1% fuel-surcharge waiver at any petrol pump in India
- Travel insurance: ₹1,00,000 lost baggage, ₹50,000 lost passport, ₹25,000 each for delayed baggage, lost ticket and missed connection
- 'Total Protect' fraud cover up to the card's full credit limit, add-on cards included
- Reward Points carry no expiry date
Watch out
- NO complimentary lounge visits. Priority Pass is 'available upon request' and every visit costs up to US$35; LoungeKey is the same
- 1 Reward Point per ₹150 is 0.5% — IndusInd's own Legend pays 1 per ₹100 for half the joining fee
- The buttons only work at a physical POS terminal; online, MOTO, IVR, Samsung Pay and ATM transactions revert to plain credit
- Points reach KrisFlyer at a flat 4:1 — the Pioneer and Pinnacle tiers get 2:1 for the same points
- Redemption costs ₹100 a request, ₹149 for cash credit, or 5% + GST through Twid (min ₹5, max ₹100)
- Interest is 3.83% a month, 46.00% a year — cheaper than IndusInd's Platinum band at 3.95%, but well above Celesta and Crest at 2.99%
- Forex is 3.5%; Nexxt is not on IndusInd's 1.8%/1.5% exception list, and DCC rose to 2% + GST on 15 June 2026
- From 15 June 2026 a 1% fee applies to cumulative fuel spends above ₹30,000 a statement cycle — the low band, not the ₹50,000 one
- 1% fees also apply on rent, on utilities above ₹25,000, on wallet loads above ₹20,000, on third-party education above ₹45,000 and on transport MCCs above ₹40,000 a cycle
- The welcome gift is 'only applicable on select fee plan' and IndusInd does not publish which plans qualify

What earns, what doesn't
5 sourced rules
Nexxt is named in the same exemption sentence as Duo: IndusInd's reward-programme revision — the one that cut utilities, insurance, government, education and rent to 0.70 Reward Points per ₹100 across its shelf — is "not applicable for … IndusInd Bank Nexxt Credit Card". So the five categories that are trimmed or zeroed almost everywhere else in this file keep Nexxt's ordinary 1 Reward Point per ₹150. The IndusInd rule that does bind it: reward points accrue only on spend up to the assigned credit limit in a statement cycle, and points earned above that line are forfeited — IndusInd's own worked example forfeits 800 of 1,800 points on ₹1,80,000 of spend against a ₹1,00,000 limit.

Sold openly from the product page. IndusInd publishes no income floor for Nexxt and its own fee table carries the caveat "Actual Fees will be conveyed at the time of application", so the ₹10,000 is the published price rather than a guaranteed one — the bank runs variable fee plans on this chassis, which is also how the welcome gift is gated. Note the statement cycle is fixed at the 25th of each month.
IndusInd Bank publishes no income or age cutoffs for this card. Blank means blank — we don't invent numbers to fill a grid.

The fine print
7 of 7 MITC rows published
What the MITC actually says — the rates, fees and cutoffs the brochure skips.
Joining ₹10,000, annual NIL, no waiver condition — the MITC's fee table reads "Nexxt ₹10,000 NIL NA NIL" and its header adds "Actual Fees will be conveyed at the time of application", so the bank runs variable fee plans on this chassis (which is also how the welcome gift is gated — "welcome gift is only applicable on select fee plan"). THE LOUNGE FACT: "Priority Pass membership is available upon request on Legend, Nexxt and lounge usage fees will be applicable up to US$35 per person per visit" — the complimentary-visit sentence immediately above names Legacy, Celesta, Club Vistara Explorer, Pinnacle, Avios Visa Infinite and Tiger, and Nexxt is NOT on it. Zero free visits; LoungeKey is the same US$35. Earn is 1 Reward Point per ₹150, priced at the ₹0.75 IndusMoments voucher rate the bank's own annual estimate implies (2,400 points valued at ₹1,800). The card's selling point is physical: three LED buttons choose EMI (6/12/18/24 months at 12%), Rewards (500-point minimum) or Credit at the point of swipe, and they work at a POS terminal only — online, MOTO, IVR, Samsung Pay and ATM revert to credit. BookMyShow buy-one-get-one twice a month, free ticket capped ₹200. 1% fuel-surcharge waiver at any pump, but from 15 Jun 2026 a 1% fee applies on cumulative fuel above ₹30,000 a statement cycle — the LOW band, where Indulge, Avios, Pioneer Legacy, Celesta, Crest, Pinnacle, EazyDiner Signature and Tiger get ₹50,000. Also 1% on rent, on utilities above ₹25,000, on wallet loads above ₹20,000, on third-party education above ₹45,000 and on transport MCCs 4111/4112/4784/4131 above ₹40,000. Returned payment ₹250; re-issue ₹100; charge-slip ₹300; cash payment at branch ₹100; balance enquiry at a non-IndusInd ATM ₹25. Statement cycle is the 25th of each month.

- 23 Sept 2026Axis EDGE brings Accor back, drops ITC, and adds Cathay, Miles & More and HiltonAccor and Marriott off the grid since 2 April 2026; Club ITC live; no Cathay, Miles & More or Hilton → Accor live at the punished rates; ITC removed; Cathay, Hilton and Miles & More live; Marriott still gone
Axis's own Travel EDGE terms, re-read 25 September 2026, already show the grid that went live on 23 September. Accor ALL is back, and not at the old Atlas 1:2: EDGE Miles convert at 2:1 (Olympus 1:2) and EDGE Rewards at 5:1, with Magnus for Burgundy at 5:2 and only Burgundy Private still at 5:4. Club ITC is off the table. Three partners are new. Cathay Asia Miles sits on that same punished grid. Hilton Honors is the ordinary one: EDGE Miles 1:2, EDGE Rewards 5:2, Burgundy 5:4. Lufthansa Miles & More is the exception on Atlas, which converts 1:1 there while every other standard airline on that card is 1:2; the EDGE Rewards side of Miles & More is the ordinary 5:2. Marriott stays removed. Qatar Privilege Club was already back. Flying Blue, Air India and Qantas moved into Group A, which is the capped group. The Axis Rewards credit card's Amex network is advertised as joining-fee and annual-fee nil for a limited period; there is no separate Amex variant on this board, so that offer is not modelled as a fee change.
